Now, before I get bashed for "wrong forum" or whatever... I didn't know where else to ask this. :o So please, go easy on me. :)

Anyway, do any of y'all know where I could find comic convention info/dates for Texas? I've searched Google and found a couple of helpful links but there's not much else. :(

Next time I go to the comic shop, I'm gonna try to remember to ask them there... I guess I'm mainly looking for something where I can get the info emailed to me so that I'll always be up to date with up and coming stuff.

Any and all help will be much appreciated! :)

Well, the big one in Texas will be Wizard World Texas

http://www.wizarduniverse.com/conventions/texas.cfm

Also if you pick up an issue of Wizard, comic conventions, other than the Wizard ones, are listed in the back by state. That's where I tend to get my info on conventions.

A major city usually has one con a month - But these are usually ****ty cons at holiday inns with no celebs, and only about 10-20 dealers

as for MAJOR cons, there are only about 10 sizable ones a year across the country

The largest con closet to you will be Wizard World Texas. Are you in San Antonio? that will be a drive, but it'll be worth it. If you wanna drive through Arizona and NEw Mexico, Sandiego has a major Con every year, too

I'm very lucky since I live in Philly, and that's where one of the biggest cons is, and I'm also in easy distance of Baltimore and NYC

and BTW, your sig isn't by aon. It' by Jack HAndy, from Deep Thoughts

Yes, I heard about Wizard World here in TX. :) I was thinking of trying to go this year, although, as you said, it would be quite a drive. I'll just have to see how my money situation is going. :) As to the ComicCon in San Diego, I wish I could go to that one. I've heard it's really good.

Hehehehe thanks, I don't even remember where I got the quote in my sig from. I'm gonna fix it though! Thanks.

All of the Wizard Worlds are great. I went to them all last year. I try to schedule my work travel so that I can be in the towns on those weekends.
