Fillers end in February 7th I believe. Right now it's at 218 though, but not sure on the exact number it will be as they may air an extra hour episode or something. Considering it's a little under weeks tho, probably at 220.

Because of the spinning and the middle part of the technique he’s able to put out the fire (the writer of the spoiler then says that his/her explanation isn’t very good so hopefully ask one of the other spoiler writers for more detail)

Kakuzu then uses one of his mask things as a decoy so he can find an opening and get Naruto.

Sasuke still has Katons and is faster than Naruto.. Remember that Katon pwns Fuuton(Rasengan)

However, Sasuke suffers the same weakness of Rock Lee... his attacks are too straight forward and Naruto can improvise with the clones... but then again, Sasuke has an offensive defense which is his newly improved Chidori that covers all of his body so that puts us back on who will get who... If Sasuke manages to strike Naruto with his Chidori than it is done for, but Naruto has clones and we don't even know who tends to be the real one... However, if Naruto improves his Rasengan to have something more on the lines of mid range attacks, he'll have more possibilities... but then again the Katons are mid to long range attacks... so... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH...

Anyways i'm watching sasuke run at his brother and i don't get how he catches him so casually. As the jutsu was running along the wall it had some sort of radial effect that was destroying it. Why the hell didn't it burn Itachi's hand or something?:csad:

135 I believe was the last actual part of the manga arc for the anime, then from 136-mid way thru 220 was all filler....yup almost 100 episodes of filler, almost 100 episodes of mini stories about Naruto trying not to laugh, or peeing, or escorting criminals. It's finally over thank God (really didn't realize it was 16 shy of a full 100).

I didn't bother with any of the fillers except the Rice Country Arch where Jiraiya, Naruto, and Sakura searched for Orochimaru's headquarters.

I did download Episode 220, not bad but not great I did like hearing the respect for Naruto that came from his peers/friends. I was suprised because usually everyone was raving about Sasuke(whom I despise) during most of the Part 1.

Itachi used shurikens in the anime as a decoy to try and throw Kakashi off but like you said he might have caught tail end of it. In the anime he said (I don't know how reliable the fansubs are) that he couldn't follow the seal formations with his eyes....so I would say he just sensed it with his Sharingan eye.

Well in the link I provided above they said they were coming out with a movie in the summer of 2007 that takes place after the time skip. Maybe that will be the Gaiden, but you're probably right it'll probably be during some filler.

I believe both Bleach and Naruto episodes come out in Japan on Wed. So the episode should technically be out in about 2 hours or so, but it has to be translated. Sometimes you can find episodes the next day on Thursday, but I believe this is an hour episode so will take a bit longer to dub so Friday sounds good.

Here what I have to say about him that. Think about it...he saw Lee moving at almost normal speed when they fought. How could he possibly copy Lee's movements after Lee took off the weights? Sasuke was in the hospital during Lee's fight with Gaara:huh:

Also....it took Lee a hell of a lot more time to land one punch on Gaara and Sasuke was able to land several on his first try.

My fave, and I totally f'ing predicted it, was when Lee was wailing on Gaara, people said he couldn't take it for long, but they weren't in a massive amount of panic over it until he unlocked his heaviest attack at that point.

Sasuke, who most absolutely definitely lacked all of Rock Lee's brute physical power, hits Gaara all of like..twice, and they're ****ting their pants worried about Gaara with, "He can't take much more!"

Sasuke should've been NOWHERE near Rock Lee's physical abilities. Neji sure in the hell wasn't, and he actually had similar training.

It's not like Lee's muscles moved in a different fashion, Lee had TRAINED to that level.

Sasuke felt threatened by Naruto's growing power yes, though I think Naruto's growing power and desire to become stronger did play a factor but I the battle with Itachi was a wake up call that he had to become what he hates in order to kill his brother.

.....and you really can't identify or connect with a fictional character(though you can side with them) but for me I can't latch on to emo characters like Sasuke. I usually side with the characters that can handle themselves without being brooding emos or total goofs.

Unfortunatly those types are over used. :(

I wouldn't call Sasuke a genius. He had just a complete natural advantage, coming from the Uchiha line, which naturally produces high level ninja with a technique that allows them to learn anything they see. That's not really genius.

And I doubt Orochimaru would know how to train a Sharingan user in the Sharingan's uses, seeing how he can't use it himself.

Personally I think it's better for his character to rely less and less on it. I have a feeling he'll lose it eventually and have to depend on himself anyway. Not that him tapping into it hasn't given some badass moments, but it's basically become a crutch when he can't handle something himself.

I think that this next arc should have Naruto training with Guy or Lee in Taijutsu while perfecting the Wind Rasengan. I also hope that he either learns or shows some new techniques, otherwise Kakashi's claim that Naruto has surpassed him is utterly ridiculous.( In fact, it's utterly ridiculous anyway, and I'm a Naruto fanboy.) AND, I hope Naruto gets those chakra blades and trains with them for the future face off against Sasuke.

I also think that Naruto will learn how to completely control the Kyuubi within him and use the chakra for techniques instead of transforming into a fox.

When has a major battle on Naruto ever been decided by Taijutsu? Lee's two big fights, Gaara and the Bone guy, he lost. As soon Sasuke revealed the chidori, his super speed taijutsu training was completely forgotten. Taijutsu is not important in the big picture. Speed sure. But it ALWAYS comes down to one big move. Naruto has it. Well, half of it.

Indeed, but The move in it's current state would never work on Sasuke because he wouldn't be able to touch him with it. With Sasuke having that sword, taijutsu will be a factor in the fight regardless of the fact that it isn't the factor.

I agree...Naruto Sakura and Sasuke all have improved greatly since each of them has been training under a Sannnin but the only ones who show improvement overall are Sakura and Sasuke. Naruto gets one new move and thats it over all nothings really changed.

Well in the manga we've seen Naruto's improvement in little portions. it wasn't too long ago where Naruto would just make a lot of kage bushins and hope that one of them was able to get a hit on his opponent.

He's gotten smarter, and that pretty much all he's ever needed to use his skills correctly(a brain pretty much). The next episode(actually the first thing Naruto does) will pretty much show that's he's improved greatly.

I know the feeling lol. Actually that's how I started Naruto, my bro was into it and I wasn't at the time. Finally he convinced me and had the first 100 episodes at that point and I watched a bunch back to back. Then I caught up finally and had to play the waiting game. Seeing that, Sakura thinks back to when they were in the hospital. Naruto's arm was recieving medical treatment while he was in bed.

Sakura- "That's a bone fracture you have in there. Your body can't endure the technique."
"This new technique should only be for this time! Use it anymore and you're done for!"

ナルト「へへ・・大丈夫サクラちゃんが治してくれれば」
Naruto- "Hehe...I'm alright as long as you heal me, Sakura-chan."

サクラ「そういう事言ってんじゃないの!」
　　　「医療忍術で何でもすぐに完治するわけじゃないんだから」
Sakura- "That's not what I'm saying! It's just that medical ninjutsu can't completely heal everything."

ナルト「・・」「でも・・オレってばこういうの何か嬉しいんだ」
　　　「サクラちゃんと一緒にサスケに近づいてる気がすっから」

Sakura is taken aback. Naruto laughs/smiles.
Taking a seat closer, she goes, "Right. Now say 'aa'".
There's a little omission to when they are laughing. After that, Kakashi makes an appearance.

Sakura- "It's rare to see you not laying in bed at the hospital, Kakashi-sensei."

Kakashi- "Well, it's because this time I didn't settle for using the Mangekyou Sharingan."

(Kakashi has a flashback on taking on Kakuzu and the moment he recieved his offensive.)

Kakashi- "If you guys didn't come to rush in after us at that time, I would have most assuredly used it again."

"And your image of me lying on this bed around this time would have been right. Ahaha"

Naruto is thinking about something. Kakashi looks at him.

カカシ「ナルトお前は確かに強くなった。オレと肩を並べるかそれ以上だ・・」
Kakashi- "Naruto, it's quite true that you've become stronger. Compared to me, you're on my level or higher..."

カカシ「だが大きな術であればあるほどそれ相応のリスクがある事も頭に入れておけ」
Kakashi- "However, the flashier the jutsu you have, the more risk you must factor for yourself."

For some reason, Orochimaru begins to laugh uncontrollably. But then soon after he starts hacking up blood. Wrapped all around his arms like bandages are seal patterns.

そこへ突然、部屋を突き破り大蛇丸を狙うチャクラの刀が伸びる
大蛇丸それを両手のクロスガードで受け止める。

And it's there that, abruptly, a chakra blade pierces through the room aimed at Orochimaru.
Orochimaru stops it by forming a cross-guard with his arms.

No. Remember, because of the attack by Sunagakure/Sound, the exam was technically never completed. Plus, just because you pass the exam doesn't automatically make you Chuunin. It's still up to examiners and the Hokage to appoint you. Remember, Shikamaru lost, by forfeit, and was the only of the Konoha twelve to become a Chuunin during the first attempt for the rookies (rather, fresh out of the academy, for Neji, Tenten, and Lee, though taking the exam for the first time, had already graduated the academy the year prior) to make chuunin.

I know. You would think thet'd make an exception like in Shikimarus place. The kid is on Kakashis level and defeated an Akatsuki.
Its like being in school. Normally, you'd have to take test and such to advance to the next grade and theres no otherway around it. But if a kid shows much promise and the work at his current level becomes too easy, he can be skipped to the next grade.

Orochimaru having hindsight should have plucked out Sasuke's eyes when he saw him after Sasuke fought Naruto. Then he just needs to get a body like Naruto's which has the chakra to sustain the effects of using the Sharingan on a non uchiha clan member! That would be pretty easy since Naruto is in love with Sasuke! So skip two years and Orochimaru calls Kakashi up and he asks how the hell did you get the mangekyo? Orochimaru finds his parents and his hardcore, annoying Naruto is just a being used for the nine-tails, and the punk Uchiha isn't so great without his eyes! Great ending to the series. It can happen:o

The arena matches were the final. The battle round before that (naruto v. kiba, gaara v. lee, etc) was the one used to thin out the participants because there were too many. And Naruto WOULD have had another match after beating Neji if the exam wasn't interrupted. In ep. 60, they're shown a paper with their opponents and you can see that it's a bracket. Meaning multiple rounds.

The Third said it himself the more chances you get to fight the better chance of becoming a chunin. You get to show off more skill and the spectators would see and judge on that. But how come he's the only one that has to suffer b/c of his jutsus? Outside of Lee's chakra gates, Naruto's been getting the shaft with his self-damaging justus. The Sharingan is supposed to put a strain on the user's eye but we've only seen Kakashi suffer from that.

Naruto's jutsu was a half ass version. I'm willing to bet that a complete version doesn't have the same effect.

We see Kakashi suffering from it because he's not Uchiha. He doesn't have the blood/body of an Uchiha. Also we have seen another Sharingan user strain from using it. Itachi is going blind. Sure we don't actually see him weakening from it. But using it is taking a toll on him. ****, the next time we see him. He might have to summon a guide dog :oldrazz:
