I wonder if Tobi will punish Pain for making him track the kyubi when it was his orders. But I disagree. The best part=Suigetsu vs Kisame. Finally we see what they both can do, but I doubt Suigetsu defeats him alone.

I hope Kisame doesn't bite it yet. I think Tobi will forgive Pain because of the fact that before he could go after Naruto, Jirayia invaded Pain's territory. I wonder why Tobi isn't wearing his hood?

I hope Kisame wins. Hopefully he'll kill Juugo and Karin. I hate them both. Then Suigetsu can curse himself for being weak. Train and defeat Kisame later. I just don't think Suigetsu deserves to defeat an Akatsuki right now, even though he's one of my favorite characters.

If Juugo recieved some character development, I'd be okay with him. Maybe a Kimimaro flashback here or there. But Karin lost all my respect when she continued the trend of kunoichi's being boy crazy weaklings. Well, I'm not sure of she's weak yet, but I have a hunch. I just don't think she deserves screen time over Temari, Tsunade, Sakura, and Konan. One of them will be the one to defeat a male shinobi ( and not a technicality like Temari vs Shikamaru, handicap matches like Sakura and Chiyo, or Tsunade vs Orochimaru w/o jutsu) if Kishimoto can get over his sexism, lol.

that episode of shippuden was chapter 289 and 290 more than likely... this weeks' chapter was 381 and I can tell you it gets better with time...

after this they spend some time training (mostly naruto) and other shinobi fight two akatsuki's in two different battles in the span of a week in Naruto... and it has one of the most kick ass battles in all naruto history where you see Shikamaru really shine ala batman

after that arc it starts with Jiraiya trying to discover who the akatsuki leader is... it's quite interesting and if you like to watch the anime a lot, the story won't let you down... also a lot of focus on Sasuke... and I'm talking like 4 or more episodes entirely focused on Sasuke

it's 100 times better than bleach and what is becoming

Well guys, it's that time again. To fill in the time between now and the next chapter release, let's post the things we've contributed to Naruto this month.

Recently, I have made Kimimaro the most overrated thing since sharingan over on the gamefaqs boards. Don't know how that happened, but everyone hates me because I made it (apparently) seem like he can't be beat. Also, catching hell because I don't have a high opinion of Sasori. He's Gaara with poison. Big whup.

I've also recently purchased the english vol of Naruto 25-27. That set me back, between that and credit card bills that is, haha. Though the fact that the volumes were shipped so soon and so close together shows. Couple of spelling errors and weird pieces of dialogue here and there. They translated it way too quickly, but still good. Glad they didn't skip Kakashi Gaiden like Shipuuden did. Also, glad the time skip chapters will be in SJ from now on again so I won't have to blow $28 a month on so many books, personally.

No, doubt this is one of the best chapters yet. I think he wrote something on the toad before he died though. Maybe Pain's identity. Then again, he said something about he made his decision and that Naruto is the destined child. So maybe what he wrote has nothing to do with Pain. Hmmm...=/

i loved 382, mainly cause it's such an emotional chapter, which primarily focuses on the story and nothing else. Without a doubt the best chapter since the time-skip.

Dunno if I'd say the best Chapter but it was definitely a great one and refreshing to step away from the 'Pain' cliche and focus more on the story itself. Named after the main charecter, but how fitting and even more ironic that he thought of it while eating Ramen of all things.

I still think it was a true testament to his fortitude and sheer badassery that he brought himself back from the dead with willpower alone in order to pass on the information the Leaf needs.

His loss is one that I hope will strengthen the series and build on Naruto's legacy.

Goukakyuu no jutsu is a technique all of the Uchiha must do in order to be considered adults... it's a rite of passing, so to speak, so technically, every Uchiha at least older than 13 years old KNEW that technique

BIG TIME SPOILERS, ch. 382.

Jiraiya is dying and on his last breath in his battle with Pein. He begins thinking about his life as a ninja and how it's nothing but a list of failures. He wanted his life to end differently. Then he starts thinking about a book he wrote. Jiraiya says it was a pathetic waste of time.

We are now in Minato Namikaze (The 4th Hokage's) home. He is sitting at a table with Jiraiya. Minato just finished the book and he is raving about it, he says it felt like reading an autobiography of Jiraiya. Jiraiya is disappointed because the book didn't sell at all, so he's thinking about making a sequel with more sex in it.

Minato says the way the hero refused to give up at the end was really cool, and was just like sensei. Minato then says "We want to raise our child to be a shinobi like the one in the book." And they decided to name their child after the one in the book, Naruto. Jiraiya is surprised and said it was just a random name he came up with while eating . . . RAMEN.

Kushina Uzumaki walks into the room, very pregnant and says Naruto is a beautiful name. Kushina lovingly looks at and caresses her pregnant belly. Jiraiya sarcastically laughs saying naming the child after him makes him the Godfather and if Minato really wants that over their heads. Minato says absolutely, there isn't a finer shinobi than Jiraiya.

So that was the origin of Naruto's name.

it's not the sharingan per se. It's how it is used. Don't get me wrong when I say this, because I'm a Naruto fan and you can see that I love how he writes... but, the Sharingan is the only annoying thing... that and Sasuke, he's like Harry Potter but taking the role of the main antagonist; he's full of idiotic angst

It hasn't been established who's stronger conclusively. All we know is Pain takes orders from Madara. So, most likely Madara is stronger.

We still don't know the details of that fight, nor do we know how strong the first really is. It's clear the reanimation jutsu doesn't bring back the Hokages at full power with the way Old Man Sarutobi faired against them.

Actually the forbidden technique is the "Mass" Shadow Clone Jutsu. Everyone and their mother can use some form of the cloning jutsu. For people like Naruto, and maybe Kisame, that have a shat ton of chakra, they could use this technique to their unfair advantage.

Again, this line of thought is one I've discussed on other forums and it seems to make the most sense. Someone with this ability, abilities is more accurate, would truly be nearly unstoppable and that's without the seperate bodies.

Why is it then that this theory seems to be rebuffed when Pein states that Jirayia would have been victorious had it not been for him being able to maintain that secret? From his own mouth, a man who fashions himself a god and knows his own abilities better than any other clearly states that had Jirayia known his secret, Pein would have fallen?

So is the Toad Sage truly THAT powerful or have we overestimated Pein's abilities? If it's the former, then my line of thought that Orochimaru was the stronger of the two would definitely have to be revised.

He can literally utilize chakra for his speed and strength, it's just he can't use manipulative ninjutsu or genjutsu. When he opens the seals, it literally relegates how much chakra is flowing throughout his body, and acts accordingly by releasing his self restraints and boosts his physical powers.

In all truth, the water thing isn't totally inapplicable, as it doesn't seem to require hand signs which is vital to nin/genjutsu. I imagine it's a whole lot like Tsunade/Sakura's punching technique. It's not exactly a jutsu in the conventional sense, but a usage of chakra for means other than hand sign jutsu nontheless.

Actually, it's because it shows that in the show, it's not that the drinking makes them awesome or anything, it's the children drinking at all, as it sort of showed that nobody really seemed to have a problem with him drinking, as much as having a problem with what happened AFTER he was drinking.

I'm not sure if we'll get an uncensored DVD version if the manga version was also censored.

All the DVD's are uncut. In Japanese they are NOT going to change it to potion punch or elixir or whatever because they can't. It will be the same as it was originally.

Viz releases the anime in uncut and broadcast formats. You can do one or the other.

Lee's drunken style is funny but it's also a little disturbing if you think about it. Along with many other things that take place in the Naruto anime that's really not just appropriate for youths.

Again, this is what I hope will happen. However, usually the American manga doesn't receive censors and is exactly as the Japanese manga depicts it. So that, in itself, makes me worry that the american uncut version will still have censors in it, since, the usually uncensored manga, never received a censor before and is also the essence of the series in it's purest form.

Yeah that fight is definitely in my top 5. I like his fighting style. If you get too close to Neji you're screwed.
