It appears that he is. But seeing as to how Kishimoto has no guts to kill characters off at all, I don't think Gaara is dead. They are just making it look as such and then will bring him back from the brink of death when all is said and done. I refuse to believe Gaara will die as he did.

Plus, Kishimoto CONSTANTLY makes it look like characters "die" and gives them symbolic death scenes. Then oh, next thing you know they are fine.

One of the reasons I love Fullmetal Alchemist is that when the characters "die" they stay dead. It makes it a lot more serious, realistic, as well as sobering.

Aburame clan's technique is awesome, but it's not as good as Sharingan or Byakugan or even Kimimaro's... and as for the Nara and co. I don't think they are worth being an S-Rank material..

This starts weird and gets progressively even weirder. Very OOC.



Day 1

Finally became Genin. Refused to wear forehead protector on head, as it will cover v. cool tattoo.



Day 3

Have been assigned to a team with Temari and Kankuro under Baki-sensei. Am most normal member of team.



Day 6

Went on D level mission with team. Were supposed to baby-sit. Had fun playing in sand with kids. When mission was done, Baki-sensei said the kids are now scarred for life. Have no idea why.



Day 8

Practiced with Temari and Kankuro. Not sure what to think of Temari's giant fan. Aren't fans supposed to have pretty pictures on them?

Am jealous on Kankuro's doll. Self had stuffed animal once, and want it back. Sand not so good for snuggling.



Day 11

Dad treated us kids to dinner. Got to eat miso ramen. V. tasty. But Kankuro put sugar in it. Self got even by putting sand in his dish.



Day 13

Didn't feel like doing anything today. Stayed in bed and angsted.



Day 14

Another assassination attempt. Interrupted Dexter's Laboratory. Got v. angry at missing favorite show. Got a little carried away. Will have to shampoo carpet later to remove bloodstains.



Day 16

Have mission tomorrow to go shopping for birthday gifts for Baki-sensei's girlfriend. Mission is labeled B class. Don't want to know why.



Day 17

Mission was much worse than B class. Self and Kankuro barely survived. Refusing to talk to Temari, as she is v. scary and has a new credit card. Have vowed never to go shopping again.



Day 18

Temari still on shopping high. Kankuro and self hid together for safety. Had much brotherly bonding. Even got to play with Kankuro's doll.

Have decided self doesn't want doll like that. Not v. good for snuggling. Too pointy.



Day 21

Had mission to collect garbage on the beach. Got to play in the sand afterwards. Was v. fun. Baki-sensei said self is not allowed to play in sand anymore. Have no idea why.



Day 29

Baki-sensei said Chuunin exam would start soon in Hidden Leaf. Now sure if self wants to be Chuunin, since Chuunin outfit would clash with gourd.



Day 30

Temari and Kankuro want to be Chuunin, so have decided to go along with it. Maybe will find someone else who also likes to play in the sand.



Day 34

Traveling to Hidden Leaf for Chuunin exam. None of the other Sand Genins like to play in the sand. Am v. depressed.



Day 38

Got to Hidden Leaf in time to watch Dexter's Laboratory. Yay! Dexter would like to play in the sand.

Temari and Kankuro got into trouble while self was watching Dexter's Laboratory. Got to do v. cool upside-down entrance. Met Leaf Genin called Sasuke. Looks v. depressed. Maybe Sasuke would like to play in the sand with self?



Day 40

Chuunin test starts tomorrow. Am feeling v. excited. Should self become Chuunin, will refuse to wear dorky outfit that would clash with v. cool gourd.



Day 41

Just finished first part of Chuunin test, a written test. Didn't know any of the answers. Maybe self should have paid attention in class?

Played with sand and wrote down random answers. Made eyeball out of sand when self got bored. Was v. fun. Watched Sasuke. Sasuke has v. neat red eyes. Made note to ask if Sasuke likes to play in the sand sometime during test.



Day 42

Started second part of Chuunin test. Something about scrolls and getting through a forest. Wasn't paying attention, as self noticed Sasuke has a v. cute nose.

Met some Hidden Rain Genins during the test. Don't like rain. It turns the pretty sand into mud. Showed Hidden Rain Genins why playing with sand is so fun.

Finished second part of Chuunin test. Baki-sensei reminded self that self is not supposed to play with the sand. Am v. depressed, but hoping Sasuke gets to next part of the test too.



Day 45

Will be starting third part of Chuunin exam. Sasuke made it this far too. Am v. happy.

Sasuke fought first. Was v. impressed. Will definitely ask him about playing in the sand.

Temari won her fight too. Fought against girl with buns. Self thought girl with buns was kind of cute. Too bad cute girl with buns was taller than self.

Self finally got to fight. Lee has v. thick eyebrows and v. green outfit. Looked a little snuggly, but didn't like playing in the sand. Have decided that if Lee ever does like playing in the sand, self will ask for snuggles.



Day 46

Have one month until final part of Chunnin exam. Will be able to play in sand with Sasuke! Yay!

Baki-sensei gave self another lecture about not playing in the sand. Baki-sensei does not understand self. Spent rest of the day watching Dexter's Laboratory.



Day 51

Saw a Sound Genin from Chuunin exam. Didn't think bandages looked snuggly, but played in the sand with him anyway. Sound Genin didn't like it. Self felt vaguely relieved. Baki-sensei didn't look angry about self playing in the sand for once.



Day 54

Too many re-runs of Dexter's Laboratory. Decided to play in the sand somewhere that Baki-sensei won't see.



Day 57

Ran into Sasuke today! Yay! Sasuke was training for final part of Chuunin exam. But self wasn't able to play in sand with Sasuke. Was v. disappointing. Self will just have to wait until last part of Chuunin test.



Day 59

So terribly bored. Drew "ai" graffiti on Hidden Leaf's outer wall with sand.



Day 62

Remembered snuggly Lee from test. Went to visit him in hospital. Snuggly Lee definitely doesn't want to snuggle with self. V. disappointing. Am thinking about asking Kankuro for a snuggly doll for self's birthday.



Day 66

Dad and Baki-sensei have some weird plan for the last part of the test. Self gets to play in the sand with Sasuke. Didn't listen to the rest.



Day 69

Today is self's birthday! Got a book from Temari, lots of candy from Baki-sensei, and a cool new outfit from Dad. Best of all, got a v. snuggly teddy bear from Kankuro. Am v., v., v., v., v., v. happy. Spent rest of the day playing in the sand. Teddy bear loved it.



Day 70

Have named teddy bear "Yashamaru." Yashamaru likes Dexter's Laboratory too.



Day 75

Final part of Chuunin exam is tomorrow. Am v. excited to fight Sasuke. Will not be able to take Yashamaru to test, which is sad. Hope Sasuke will not make fun of self if Sasuke finds out self has a teddy bear. After all, Yashamaru is v. snuggly and Sasuke is v. snuggly.



Day 76

Start of last part of Chuunin exam. But where is Sasuke? Am v. worried.

Kankuro forfeited his fight. Hope he isn't feeling sick. Can't tell; Kankuro always looks sick with purple make-up. His doll looks different.

Self not feeling good. Maybe played in the sand a little too much yesterday. Ah, self isn't making any sense.

Played in sand with Sasuke. He didn't hate it, but didn't like it either. Then a friend of Sasuke showed up. Naruto really liked playing in the sand with self. Was v. fun. But Naruto was even better than self at playing in the sand! Self got beat up...

Kankuro's doll got busted. Have decided to buy new doll for Kankuro for his birthday.

Found out that Dad is dead. Am v. sad, but now no more assassination attempts. Yashamaru doesn't like assassins.

Am looking forward to seeing Naruto again. Naruto was even more snuggly than Sasuke. Self also thinks Naruto wouldn't make fun of self for having teddy bear.

Maybe Naruto even likes Dexter's Laboratory. That would make self v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v., v. happy. And Yashamaru would be happy too.
