Let me know if either would be interested in taking over my team. As you know, I'm not expecting to have time for season 3, but I've tried to keep a decent team together, including some top ubers like Paragon, Zoom, Firestorm (Fire elemental), and Dr. Strange (Man-Thing). Of course, they could make whatever changes they wanted after taking over, but I'm also happy to pass on any info about the charaters I've got.

I think JB deleted the other ownerless, and questionable teams.

I wish you'd bring them back JB. It was good to be reminded of what characters were out there by looking at ownerless teams. And, if we need to, it may help bring someone new in if they can start with an existing team and just modify it as needed.

Don't be disuaded man. If you focus on the fun aspects of it the rest will come in time. My suggestion is to pick up or build up a team that you feel comfortable with,.. feel free to pick up my old team if you want, I can help you with building a team from it that you feel comfirtable with. After that just take it a match at a time. When your opponants give you their 5 person line up look into those 5 guys only. Do your match,.. and then when you face the next person and find out who they're playing with,... study those 5 guys. It isn't so bad if you do it that way. And as always I and the other guys here are great at answering questions and helping you out.

Most of our knowledge (with the exception of a few like Guyver and X) come from participating in the DTL. I've probably learned more from two seasons worth of battles then I have from reading all my comics.

I actually planned the pic out as shown, then remembered Aquaman's hand and said I'd switch Aquaman and Proctor around, then forgot when I started drawing the actual pic. So, in my version of DC continuity, Aquaman lost his right hand, not his left. :p

None of them are allowed as far as I know. The Fallen One just came up and it was pointed out that he could take down a weakened Galactus. The Runner was ruled out officially, as was Thanos-the-walking-plot-device. I imagine the Destroyer would be too uber too, since he's come close to killing or actually has killed virtually everyone he's come up against other than the Celestials.

If you're thinking he's too uber, then yes, you already know the answer. He's regarded as something of an cosmic being, and the upper echelons of the cosmic heirarchy are generally too uber.

No, that was a not yet finalized list. Hence, the characters listed as "on the bubble", because JB hadn't decided yet. They've all been ruled on now, so there is no more bubble. Give me a second, I'll go dig up the finalized list.

Just to clarify: That list is not a comprehensive list of everyone who is too uber (otherwise, it would have people like Galactus, etc., obviously.) That's just a list of the characters who were on peoples rosters at the end of season 2 but were deemed too uber for season 3. The bar has been lowered somewhat, so that people like Thanos and Amazo, who were previously allowed, now are banned. Even though there are lots of other too ubers who aren't on that list (because no one had them at the time), the list should still be helpful in giving people an idea of what makes a character too powerful for the DTL.

Suggestion: Maybe that should go in the update thread, at least for a while . . . this is the second time I've had to dig up the link for someone. (Not that I mind, it just might be more convenient to put it somewhere where everyone can find it easily.)

Oh, and for any new participants, you should know that you can always argue your case if you think someone should be allowed. (Although for the ones listed in that link, it's already been argued ad infinitum.) But it's up to the DTL Commisioner (Johnny Blaze) to make the final call.

Well I know Mephisto is extremley uber but characters such as Silver Surfer who is allowed have resisted/defeated him before. Also from what I do know about Mephisto his really super uber powers are at their strongest in his realm, so he becomes much weaker when battling outside.

Kyle's ring was never weak against yellow. As for the other Lantern's, if we go by Rebirth, then neither are Hal, John, Guy, or Kilowog's rings (which is the entire current Corps). Any other Lantern's, since they'd be before Rebirth, would still be weak against yellow.

By last season's standards, I think she should have been allowed . . . now I'm not totally sure.

But what's obvious to current DTLers wouldn't necessarily be obvious to new members. A few are obvious (Dark Phoenix, Parallax, etc.), the only reason I thought anyone might try to pick those is some sort of dumb reasoning based on the fact that they evolved from regular heroes. But many of them are ones that people have actually tried to pick up before or talked about picking up, like Strangefate, Sentry, the X-Man from "What If?", etc.

I do agree that it's not necessary to list every single character who's Skyfather-level and up, but I don't think it hurts to have a few of them on the list to reemphasize to new members that characters of that level aren't DTL legal.

As for teams next season, the minimum I want is 16, but, if there's enough genuine interest, I would be more than happy to bump it up to 20. Hell, if there were enough people who would actually participate on a weekly basis I'd have no problem keeping it at 24 teams.

Jason C C I PMed earlier and gave a 72 hour deadline to get back to me and tell me whether he's still in or not. If I don't here from him in the alloted time, his team will become ownerless.

Franklin, since you haven't been around in a few months, and you didn't reply to my PM, I disbanded your team. If you want to jump back in though, you may. But, remember that you will be expected to participate each week, along with everyone else.

Roughneck does not accept PMs (I tried him earlier), so if any of you see him online tell him that if he still wants in the DTL then he has to start participating. If I don't hear from him within one week, I'll put his team down as ownerless as well.

Rigel7soldiers, you're more than welcome to jump in if you want to. Now, I or someone else can give you a rundown on how to create a team from scratch, or you can wait and take over a team when one becomes available.

Also, every owner in the DTL will be having to agree to participate each and every week. Now, sometimes life will get in the way, and that's understandable, but multiple unexcused weeks missed (especially in a row) will cause said owner to be expelled from the DTL. So, even if it's only a brief paragraph, it would be advisable to have something up each week.

I already erased the teams from my files as well, but I suppose I can create a few dummy teams and put them up.
