Now the article also says that Renee' Zellweger(sp?) will also portray Janis is another movie. I say that's bad casting :down: I haven't seen Pink act before, but I guess her voice would be alright. What do you guys think?

I don't know how good Pink is as an actor, mainly because the only film role I've seen her in was that Charlie's Angels sequel. But i think she can pull off the attitude.

I don't know about her acting, but I saw Pink do Joplin's "Bobby Magee" on some music show a while back and I was VERY impressed. She actually sounded like her....but better. I had never liked Pink but I have been on the search for an MP3 of that performance ever since.

2. Pink sucks. her "music" is no where close to resembling Janis's music
3. It's all trendy all of a sudden for famous people to wear retro clothing, and clothing with all these other older famous people on them.

Horrible casting in my opinion. This is just as bad as the rumored casting of Elijah Wood as Iggy Pop, and the finalized casting of Weezer as The Velvet Underground in an upcoming movie about one of Andy Warhol's Factory people

I saw Amy Jo Johnson play Janis in "Love, Janic" off Broadway a few years ago and she was amazing in it and recieved a lot of good reviews from it. I would be all for her to have been her in a film. But perhaps she is not bankable enough and can't live down being the Pink Ranger.
