Could that work?

There's been talks about it, I remember there being talks that Clint Eastwood was in talks for Bruce, but after Year One was in the forefront, this went to the backburner, perhaps perminately. :( Which sucks, I liked that show.

Was that the show in the future with the capeless batman that flew around with rocket boosters? that gave me the willies :(

Yeah this was supposed to be the next Batman film as the franchise got killed after B+R. But i'm not sure cause it didn't last too long on the small screen.

Agreed. It was a great show that ended before it's time. :(
I wouldn't mind seeing it on the big screen, but I'm even more happy that we're getting a movie with the REAL Batman.

Still....a Batman Beyond movie wouldn't be a bad idea at all after the new franchise gets old.

I think it might be cool, especially if Michael Keaton was signed to return as Bruce Wayne.

yeah i remember WB ws considering a Batman Beyond movie. it was between this and both Year One and Batman vs Superman. thing that stood out the most was Freddie Prinze Jr. was considered to play McGinis/Batman. i was like "WTF".

A Batman Beyond movie would be great.........

But only if they used the Azbat suit. :D

Why would they use that suit. If anything they should use the suit in the show. Which looks cool anyway.

i'd rather they just stuck with the tv show and maybe start up a ongoing comic title. maybe a film severals years down the track after begins and it's sequel, but not right now.

Might be hard to do a live action one actually. Cause it is so futuristic (spelling?).

If they ever do a live action batman beyond film it would have to be kind of simular to the blade series and the matrix series as well as equilibrium and of course they would have to give background story for terry mcginnis because they're introducing him for the first time. Honestly i think it could work if you give it to a good action movie director such as micheal bay (con air) or kurt wimmer (equilibrium) i wouldn't mind seeing david goyer writing the script for batman beyond the only thing is that he's going to have to understand the source and nature of the character such as he's going to have to make him do some type of japanese anime style type thing... Does anyone agrees with me?

I don't agree when you mentioned the anime style part.

actually i think it would be better to open the film with the "heart attack" scene where we see Bruce in the new Batsuit (in my script, which kind of linked with the "Begins" storyline, it was called the Nomex-I)

I personally wouldn't care. I'd much rather normal Batman movies, even a DKR before Batman Beyond. But I don't care for Batman Beyond that much simply because I've never liked the idea of anyone other then Bruce Wayne as Batman. But if they made one, I'd still watch it.

I don't know about a Dark Knight Returns for the movies, but an animated DKR would be cool.

In UK we call it Batman of the Future (BOTF) and I agree I didn't like the show as well, to me it's anther "The Batman" animated show.:down

Nah Batman Beyond had its moments that made it cool. Personally I think the coolest villain on that show was Spellbound/Spellbinder? I forget the proper name.

Also, you missed an episode =P. On wikipedia said he was in 3 episodes...9, 21, and I think 27. But what I liked was the fact that he used hypnosis and gave people images in their heads...it is like with Scarecrow only not to scare you...in the sense that you see things that are not there.

Silver Sable
04-26-2006, 10:18 PM
I knew he was in 3 episodes but he used his powers on Terry only in Spellbound and Hooked Up.He didn't do anything to him in Eyewitness.Only to Barbara Gordon

Oh ok. But I guess my point in talking about him at first is that if they did a movie he should be in it; animated or with people and such.

I was used to Bruce as Batman and I thought Terry was grown up Tim or Dick taking over from Bruce and that Batman didn't have cape and his was completely closed his face. Sorry if this is sounds silly but that's how I feel.

Your opinion just lost all value to me.

Seriously, folks, Batman Beyond had episodes which rivaled or even surpassed the orignal four seasons of BTAS. But I don't think of DCAU shows that way; they are all part of a single strand of continuity.

As for a live-action movie, probably not the right time. Besides, we already have one of the best Batman movies ever (live-action, animated, or otherwise) in ROTJ.
