i first saw batman when i was 3 years old.......i was batman every year for halloween until i was 10 years old, and ive seen all the batman movies countless times......except for B&R....and i do agree that michael keaton was an awesome batman....but i think bale is gonna blow him outta the water, and he looks just like the comics bruce wayne. and he looks better than michael keaton in the batsuit. i dont know if hes a better actor cause i havnt seen enough bale movies to judge that, but from what i hear he is. bale has got it all over keaton :D

On Keaton. He was a fine Batman. He's got his half-crazy look to him. He's a fabulous actor. I just had to replace my Batman video with a DVD so I watched it again. Elfman's score gives me shivers. Right. The cape on the B89 suit is the standard for now. But since the pics of the new suit suggest that it is longer, I'm having high hopes for it. Aside from the Burton movies, the cape has never been done much justice. And even there the cape wasn't as good as it should have been. But Begins looks to nail it. If the cape in action of the Begins suit surpasses B89's, then it could be hands down the best one yet.

Most of you RARELY (if ever) hear from me, as I am not a big poster..BUT...I think it is crazy we are even comparing the two. Right now, Keaton is the best Batman and I will tell you why.......(lean in close...it's a secret)....no one has actually seen Bale ACT as Batman. You can't compare the two....you are comparing two movies to two to three pictures!? Makes no sense...you really can't even say who looks better..because the pictures aren't all that clear yet. The only thing that can probably be compared is the cape and cowl...we haven't even seen a good pic of the costume...let's wait until their first "official" pic of the entire costume is out to get into that...and how about we see SOME kind of trailer and preview before we kick Keaton out of his reigning title spot....?! Just a thought peeps...

I'll wait 'til we see the final batsuit, but I think Bale's will be lgihter and move better, but it purrposely doesn't look as cool (look at those crappy ears) because it is his first year and they did it on purpose.

As who will be better, Keaton was perfect while an actor, but visually (not in the suit in the suit he looked perfect as well) he was just not big enough (I don't mean shortness I didn't even know he was short when I saw the movie because they cast by height I mean muscular), and I think if Bale can pull off the acting as good as Keaton, he definetly looks more the part and may very well trump Keaton, but we won't know 'til next June.

But as for suits, I'll wiat 'til I see the suit unshaded in Bale's but I have a feeling it will look purposely worse than Keaton's as it is a year one.

You cant compare these two, keaton was great at what he did and so will be christian. I loved the way keaton acted in batman and i absolutely love the film. It was great for what it was and now we should keep that in mind with welcoming something new which will be different to it and most likely be better for most of you, But the point is batman was a great film and reaching those heights at that time was just amazing.

but if you show the whole body, bale will destroy him

as far as the suit goes
i love the mask, like the cape, not to sure about whatever material that is though

and from what i have seen of the bodysuit, from the pics that where brightened, im not liking it at all, it looks like there right back into rubber, and the bat on his chest might as well not even be there, this suit needed to be colored grey and black just so you could see the bat, that i dont like, and im not sure i like mixing a form of cloth cape with a rubber suit

You know, the Keaton promo shot is not so much lit deceptively as it is professionally lit, and very much a part of the filmmaker's collective vision (like those Matrix ads for powerade).
I don't quite get the feeling with the Bale photos that I'm peeking into an alternate world, as I do looking at those Keaton pics, let's face it-who doesn't? The Bale photos look like stills from a new fan made film, but we have a year to go....

Yeah, I kinda figured it was. Still, sometimes still (or shots that look pretty similar to those used in the final film) wind up being promo shots (like the shot of Batman holding the batgrapple like a gun for Batman Returns). Those are the best kind, imo.

Now, its coming on the heels of a box office success in a market actually SATURATED with competitors. Damn. Oh well, more time has passed between the '89 Batman and the new Batman, than between the original Superman and Batman '89 (and yet Superman must have looked like an antique by '89...Batman still feels pretty modern, except for the lack of wire-fu, and the Prince soundtrack). Let's hope people aren't too burned out on super heroes by 2005.

Last night I saw some footage from the Batman premiere on Access Hollywood. Apparently Courtney Cox's dated Keaton for a sh-tload of years. They showed footage of the premiere in 1989 with Keaton and Cox. Keaton was wearing some funny looking suit that seemed like something from the Beetlejuice movie.

I think a Batman movie is as good as it's director. Burton krafted the '89 Batman to look Dark and gothic looking (the way he should be). Just picture Joel Schumacher doing the '89 Batman. Sorry for the brutal visual. It doesn't even compare. Tim Burton = Dark & weird dramatic fantasy flicks. Joel Schmacher = St Elmo's Fire + Cousins ...(don't get me wrong, 8mm was awesome)
Now Chris Nolan on the other hand has a few psychological dramatic thrillers under his sleeve....hmmmm, let see...how does Batman fit into this? Like a glove...If he can use his skills and give US what we want, this Batman will be the best ever. It will be the movie we have been waiting for for the last 18 years. Combine "Birth of the Demon" with "Year One" and the Neal Adams' Batman and there you'll have a really bizarre movie.
So I say this....the Burton Batman is the greatest...so far. But wait till the we see Nolan's creation....

Have seen both and would certainly agree that the seeds of what could be a great Bruce/Batman performance are in there. I think there are quite a few similarites between Patrick Bat(e)man and Bruce Wayne, but the main difference I think is that while Bateman is resigned to his more animalistic and base feelings controling him and his actions, Bruce Wayne chooses to control his, and even use them to his advantage. Add in his BadAss performance in Equilibrium and it seems like a pretty obvious choice.

When I was young and that pic came out, I loved the suit. It was a very nice suit excludding the nipples and molded ass!! The thing is, that I like about the new suit and the B89 suit is that they were crude.
