antmanx68- i searched for smoke on yahoo, google and a hole lot of other image searches to find a pic of smoke that i liked, then i stuck it in photoshop and messed with the variation setting to make it a warm colour and the put it over my image and on the blending options i used hard light :D

Thx Drakon, yeah I do have the .psd file, once Ive uploaded the .jpg I delete it from my computer and just keep the photoshop file:D it saves space cos at the min i have somethin like (quick disk check) 350 files in one folder, full of photoshop and image files, lol.

Ok, as my post says I'm a future screenwriter/ director, in short I'm a future proffessional film maker..... and personally I think you might have a future for yourself Barney. I'm a 16 year old film maker now so it will take a while, but I'm going to become kind of like the next Steven Summers. In which I and Steven have the same approach to movies. Now, I've been looking at you're posters and quite frankly I'm really impressed. Even though it's early I'd like to assemble a team for the future, if possible- part of that is marketing. And I think you might be the right guy to make the movie posters.... keep in mind the future cast will change, if you are the future movie poster employee. And I mean Hollywood million dollar movies here, not fan made films. Meaning you'll have more sources, but as of yet you haven't got any but photoshop- but for you that seems to be working nicely. Here's the catch, I want to test your strength's see if you're the right person for the job. My first test is Batman Beyond. Which will be one of my future films, I'd like some posters done just to see what they might turn out like in the future.

My cast:

Really cool...... I knew you would probably be the right person for the job..... also due to the few supplies, these are really awesome. I look forward to seeing the rest.... also when I stated 2 of Blight/ Nicholas Cage..... just one regular- then see if you can maybe get a 1/2 face. Due to there not being many sources to work from to find cast photos for this movie, I know will be difficult. But, that's part of the challenge. But, your two posters so far were way better than I would have even hoped for, from even the professionals in the marketing business today.... I see more work like this and you'd definitely be able to get the job. Great work.

This movie will take many years- to get known, you know- the whole Hollywood "run." No, I do not expect them to pick this screenplay immediately, my SOUL AVENGER project will be first, a very dark super hero film- who will buy it? I don't know. Through that film, I will become more known, thus- through this dark super hero film WB will hopefully see the potential of what Batman Beyond may become. I think, the road block is the writer's of the cartoon are the ones who are trying to get the movie made, which would have alot of cartoon type scenes in it- very discourageable. I might or might not be the one to make this film, hopefully I will- but, who knows a famous director might come across it while their son, or daughter, is watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. Batman Beyond posters- why? Because, it's the most known project I have worked on, with the most pictures for it.

Um dude, sorry but who the hell will want a Batman Beyond film in 20 years?

Well people who are kids in 20 years. Maybe the kids that some of us produce in the future.

This film won't be geared towards children, I made it alot more dark than the TV show. In story style, it's alot similar to Spider-Man, a character piece: revolving around maturing. The origin is the same, but so is the origin aspect in every super hero adaptation. Yes, the cartoon as it is will not be a good film- that's why I think it has hit a "barrier." I had to change alot of aspects to it, I even described Terry's criminal past, which was slightly mentioned in Batman: Return of the Joker.

This movie, is alot darker than Forever & Returns. It's more of a sequel to the Burton films, due to the fact that it has the same tone to it.

It's going to be a very dark film, to me Batman and BB were always dark characters- now we will see justice in the dark film noir in Begins, this film on my first draft of BB will be the same tone, that the original films and Begins has. Adventure, thriller, film-noir type of movie. It's not written towards kids.

I focus on the story itself: Terry McGinnis- a teenage guy, age 17, learns who the real Batman is and wants to get revenge on his father's killer.

Once, again- the cartoon is PG. This, like Burton's films are a very strong PG-13.

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

The camera zooms in through a spinning fan to reveal a woman being held prisoner- and in the center of the room were two thugs smoking and playing cards-

EXT. STREETS OF GOTHAM CITY

See police cars zooming down the streets- and then you see the warehouse in the distance.

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

Thug1 was now observing the old man-

I say- we see who’s behind that mask-

Thug1 rips the mask off of Batman, to reveal an old man- Bruce Wayne.

THUG2
Look who it is- the millionaire.

Money can’t buy everything Bruce-

What do we do?

Tie him up- the people of Gotham might not care about her- but, Bruce Wayne will start a city panic-

The police cars arrive- and an older Police Commisioner Gordan steps out- and puts him the communication horn-

Come out and put your hands up-

(slyly motions over towards Bruce)
They won’t do anything stupid.

Ok- I want you to use tactics- the plan is simple, sneak your way into the warehouse- and put down the threat- understood?

I would say the roof is one of our best bets- okay men, go in and take all necessary precautions- make sure the hostages do not get hurt-

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

Thug1 is staring towards Bruce Wayne, smiling and nodding in great glory-

We’re going to be rich my morning- real rich, come on-

THUG2
What is it?

THUG1
What do you think? Old man Bruce, came through the roof- the police are going to do the same thing- and there is where we’ll hit them-

I thought you said that they wouldn’t try to kill us!!!

The Police look through the opening and they see that they weren’t there- the main cop motions 1 other to follow him in- and then he jumps down- and one other cop does to-

Barney, you have a true and great gift. If you're not already working on posters for motion pictures, you should be. Which is why I'm here. This may sound like bull, but I work in films. I'm not Bryan Singer, mind you. Hell, I'm not even Marc Singer, but I am an employee, I can't say where. This is all independent and not under the auspices of my bosses.

Basically, who I work for are looking for some comic properties. The best of Marvel and DC are already tied up, so we they were thinking outside of the box, unfortunately they don't know much about comics.

If you could come up with some posters to correspond with a possible movie, it would help convince them visually. Again, this is unofficial concept art, and I can promise nothing except that I will mention the artist who brought me this when the time comes.

Thanx for doing that pic, I just saw Will Smith on MTV at the London premier of I, Robot and for some reason thought he looked like GL from the cartoon (Justice League) or John Stewart. After reading a little about Smith in this months Empire I realises he'd probably never do GL coz that would mean saving the world and he doesn't want to do that anymore, 4 times is enough for any man.

I like that rendition...I think Will Smith could do a great GL, but my choice would be the guy who plays Dixon on Alias.

As for Batman Beyond...
Ashton Kutcher is too old to play Tenny McGinnis...Needs to be somebody aged 18-23 who can play a high school student. I really like the idea of Paul Newman as Bruce Wayne, but I'd vote for Kiefer Sutherland for Derek Powers/Blight.

Make Iron Man more visible - he's too dark.
Try doing a split-face shot as seen in the recent spidey poster. Half Stark, half IM.
There are plenty of these kind of fan-posters around. The most successful ones are the ones where the photographs have been manipulated in an imaginitive way, not just stuck on a different background. You don't have to be the worlds best artist to do this either. The art package you're using will have all manner of cool tools. Try experimenting with them.

Ashton Kutcher: to me, since Butterfly Effect- could portray Terry McGinnis.

Paul Newman: Bruce Wayne, old and still has a sense of intelligence and he is a well respected actor. To me he would always be a great mentor for Terry.

Nicholas Cage: Derek is a corporate villain that has taken over Wayne Powers Industries, and to me that just fit the role that Nicholas Cage is usually known for. Not to mention that he is able to bring a villain to life in a film. So, ever since I began to write the screenplay- that's who I had in mind for the character.
