Zelda Fan Film

Yes, I am back and putting another of these threads up here.
I put it here, because that is exactly what it is. A fan film.
There is good information, and new updates. We have two new stars, and one has signed out. Meaning Guitersingersguy. The film is two films. One coming out late next year. Yes, I know I said it would come out this year, but I realize now that it takes much longer than expected if I am going to film Zelda. So, it'll probably be Summer of next year when this debuts. Eh, it's more realistic.
The new actors are Joshua Stephenson (of the unknown band, "The Skeleton Creeps.") and Jana Jenkins ( A Real unknown.) I am searching acting schools for other actors, and I hope to find some. So, as I was saying about the two films. The reason is that this is a large film, and it would be better as a two parter. The Kid parts #1, and the Adult ones #2.

No. We are going to be changing things for the film. The Kokiri's don't have hats. Imagine them as the 'Lost Boy's' of the Zelda world.

Odd news, people. My Father still has one of my cameras. This was the one we were going to shoot this beginning scene with. Filming will start very soon. We are going to retrieve the camera tomorrow. Also, we have more extras for the newest scene! Any advice would be welcome, thank ya.

I got my camera's back, finally. Filming is going to commence. Tomorrow, I am filming scenes, and then a day later, I am filming a shocker scene...

Plus, I wanna set the record straight. When a few years ago I said I would submit Zelda to Cannes and Sundance, I was joking, being SARCASTIC. I knew my film would not make it into those places. I know of film and what you do when you wanted it submitted. Calm down. I'm not delusional (at least not more than is healthy.).

I'm going to try to say this in the nicest way possible..

I liked a few parts of a few of the posters.. but most of them were pixelated, rush, no thought quickies..

Doesn't look like any time was spent on each one longer then 2 minutes..

The images are greatly enlarged pixeling the entire poster.. and they just didn't do it for me..

Anyways, I do 2 posters that I'll post last..

I'll post the 7 others for other people to see.. I may post 1 or 2 of them.. but they need some more effort put into them..

Again, I don't mean to sound like an @$$.. but, that's my honest opinion.. I don't want to say they're good.. when I really think the opposite..

If you used Paint, which isn't the greatest but not bad.. then it's understandable due to limited resources..

Following OOT closely, but on a budget. Meaning no Zora's or Goron's, sadly. Believe you me when I say I wanted to have them in, but... It's a two part movie, like a serial. But longer. Kid version now, and when we get this one finished, we started on the Adult Version. But there are referances to the Goron's and Zora's though. See it as they are in there, you just don't see 'em.

Oh, and a little help is needed. I am working (currently) on a Quaser VHS Recorder. I need to know if I can record scenes in random order with that (meaning as in real films, Middle, last, and First) kind of camera, and if so, can I edit them together?

it could be the child link, sorry man but i would have rather seen something closer to the one in the game, something like robin hood had in the one where kevin costner played him (great movie). u need to add more clothes on him, also (this could have been the camera) the guy playing link looks kinda chubby for link, but again it could have been the camera

We tried for a really Gothic feel, and so We found a way to achieve an eerie glow for Link as He lies on his bed, awoken from a nightmare. He's in shock, and I am surpised. Jeff's doing good. Do you want criticism or not on the film..?

If you made a thread on the film, then people are going to give their opinion and comment on it.. so you should take the constructive criticism in the right way.. instead of getting all pissed off about it..

No...You misunderstand. I made this thread to get critisism. But when I tell people why we are not have a certain thing, and they keep on badgering about "Why doesn't He have a hat," And I have told you why, it bugs me. Just got a little mad there. Been under a lot of stress as of late.

Believe me when I say I wanted the hat in the film as much as you. Also, we have tried more models this day. None worked. Also, the Gandalf hat was made as an actual hat, not as the taboggon (sp) model that Link has. Imagine him running through the streets of Hyrule Castle Town and his hat keeps falling off.
Yeah. And, lest we not forget one thing. There is more than one
designer on our team. And none of us could come up with a realistic model for the hat. WE TRIED.

Of course, I could use the black hood that was in the previous costume shots, and make him have a hood out of that. If I can make that work, I will.

Why? Well, because it scares me that Magician Max will have had a higher Low Budget than this fan film. I can tell you for a fact I am harsh on movies that leave a bad taste in my mouth. If you don't believe me, read my review for CINO (Catwoman In Nsame Only.)

Baugh, when it comes right down to it, we need to see some high quality stuff concerning your production. Personally, I think you can make the Link hat and make it look convincing. You just need a better seamstress for the costumes.

Obviously this "crew" isn't fit for creative productions if they don't understand that the creative process involves critiquing, point out bad ideas and working towards better ones.

Again, the general consensus is that Link's hat is key to his characters appearence, and as I pointed out with Gandalf, a goofy hat is concieveable. Your trying to make something impractical like Zelda, practical, and that is the wrong approach.

Alright, first thing. The game your making a movie out of, has been around longer than you(I know you know this), and has one of the biggest fan bases (bigger than star wars, mario, any comicbook). So any diffrence, just a little tiny one ( in your case big) will sebnd fanboys off the wall. SO it shouldnt be a shock that there *****in about a hat.

Questions: Is Crest Grove the Apartment Complex you're filming at? Does it look sort of Medieval? And if you said yes to it just being a location why did you not designate it the Hyrule location it's standing in for? Or is it a modern setting in your film that your characters are interracting in and around?

This is how i would have it begin........

First off the movie will be dark, not to dark. I plan on giving reason and answering questions like, why is link alone, where is his family/what happened to them. The movie will start off similar to the legend of zelda game for SNES.{ It will be a dark rainy night, in links village. The camera will be focused on link sleeping rite when the film begins, and u will hear rain, thunder, and see lighting (his room will be flashing) u will hear screams also coming from outside.... link awakes, freightened (a little boy). the camera swings around him as he wakes up, his room is glowing different colors or red, flashes of lightning, he runs outside only to see complete chaos. The camera still behind him so its viewed in third person perspective, u see link stairing at his village.. getting burned down by a group of people ran by urs truely... Ganon. They are on horses, monster looking things, killing people, and destroying everything in there path. Link looks down only to see his dead father and mother. Then comes the man in black armor, Looks absolutely terrifying (this man is ganon). He looks down at Link... with a smirk on his face. calls his men (or creature looking things over) and asks, 'what shall we do with this one.' They start laughing... Ganon says 'wait, i know... We'll leave him here, and let him burn. As did those he knows. And if he survives these fires, then let him tell everyone that terror, in its worst form is coming. They start to scream like howling animals, and ride of. Link with tears in his eyes of fear, anger, and rage..grabs a sword thats laying on the floor, and angerly, stabs the floor with it then runs off camera, the last shot is of the sword, as the screen fades we get a '10 years later' sorta thing pop up...}


Well thats my beginning sequence, or sumthing along those lines i guess.

Its Great............................................I really hope that they do indeed make a Zelda film. All of these other video game movies have been made, Zelda has a great story to be told on the big screen. it really does deserve to be made
