Just wondering, cause the look on his face at MJ's wedding is indeed worth a thousand words.
Also i thought he may have been wearing a green bow tie, but i can't be too sure. is this a subtle hint?
Any insight?

I dont know if he's taken the formula but he is deffinately insane. At the end with him hearing voices in his head, hearing the goblin laugh not to mention that he has a vision/conversation with his dad about seeking vegence on Pete. Theres no doubt harry has lost his mind but from the looks of things he acted as though when he found the goblin layer he saw the performance enhancers for the 1st time.

i think there was a slight hint in there that he may have been taking drugs
or at the very least just drinking heavily, not bad way to sneak it into a kiddy movie;)

Smiling at the knowledge he has gained. Peter's secrets... and his father's secrets. Smiling because MJ has left another for Peter... and revenge will be forthcoming for both.

REDHEAD TO HEAVEN IN 2007!!!!!!! *dances around thread "nakid" :D not a teeny weeny also going to the new gained power he has???
i would have liked to have thought that he would have wanted to ambush peter at the wedding, and take them both out there and then, so when MJ leaves, he starts a rucuss, and THAT's the disturbance that gets parker to leave MJ at the very end
speaking of the very end, didn't anyone else think those helicopters were flying pretty low....

NEVER... say "teeny weeny" after I talk about dancing "nakid" damn it... :D
I'm not saying it couldn't be, but I don't think so. I think, he again is smiling, cause he know's Pete's secret, knows his father's secret, knows that MJ has left John for Peter, and has been in the same situation (MJ leaving him for Peter)... and now has the power (means) to make both of them pay for these sins... and other sins (death of his father).

Everyone else wearing black ties (except JJJ) and Harry just happens to have a tie with the same shade of green as the Goblin suit?
No, there's no significance there at all.

No, there's no significance there at all.
Did you really need the bow tie to tell you that Harry was going to become the Goblin?
Personally it was that little sequence before with Willem Dafoes cameo that did it for me :p :D

J/K. But I am serious, that they picked green for a reason. Considering black would of looked better. But I think they were just hinting at things to come, not that something had already happened... BUT you never know.

i saw the bow tie to be like a sign, like the pheonix at the end of x2.
something the fans would pick up on, to maybe show he's changed...
that's how i saw it.

It was indeed worth a thousand words.
He'd gone from being the obsessive drunk, back to as though Ock had taken him to the promised land of Fame and Fortune. With a sense of "I know something you don't know."

Okay. My only problems with Harry's ending are:
Harry's hallucination of Norman in the mirror has got black hair! That's just not right.
Why was Harry hearing Goblin laughter before he found the secret lair, not to mention the formula???
Ultimate Venom
07-18-2004, 06:45 PM
Although thinking about it...
In the mirror, Norman is wearing the same black shirt and trousers that he wore the last time Harry saw him alive. When Harry came back from the Hospital he heard Norman's Goblin laughter upstairs before he came down.
So it's like Harry's hallucination was created from his last proper moments with Norman.
Makes sense now.

Ok, I didn't read through all the replies, so if I am repeating somebody else, my apologies.
I think he took the formula only for the simple fact that him and Peter never resolved their conflict. Peter actually just dismisses all of his obsession in favor of saving MJ, I'm sure that rubbed him the wrong way. So I think is already implied that with the discovery of his fathers equipment and juice, that Harry would impliment it. But then again, I could be completlely wrong.

is that cause you don't like the costume??
he can always change it ya know.
personally i think it'd be better if he was Green cause parker could think Norman is back, and the shock to the sister would be nice (since Parker would call the Goblin Osborn, and get an expected reaction)
Spider2004

I think he has,but mabye not.People seem to think the
green bow tie did not mean anything, but I doubt he wore
green like that for no reason. In the first film he wore it through out the entire film, but in this one they waited till after he found the goblin stuff. He did seem quite confedent. And in the novelization mary jane noticed at the wedding that he was laughing,ALOT.And we all know that's the goblins trademark.

I guess some of the new footage seen in the spidey 3 trailer pretty much puts this theory to rest, bit of a shame though, i would have liked for him to have taken the syrum before,
he has the same smug look on his face during the wedding as he does during mj's play when he's sitting in the box...
a shame really, i liked the green bow tie bit, it kinda takes away from it that he hasn't taken it yet but that's the way the story goes...

He wasn't yet, but he probably took it as soon as he found it, because that was when he seemed to finally snap . . . shock of understanding didn't help his mindset any, though.
