Thanks! I prefer the thinner looking Venom, and am better at drawing him that way. You can just take a picture of your art with a digital camera and upload it. It's not as good quality, but it still gets the image online. It's what I did before I had a scanner:

My fellow Venom fans, a problem bothers me.

Why is it people don't like Venom having an extraterrestrial origin? Is it a little far fetched? Sure, but I for one believe in life outside our planet, the universe after all, is a pretty big place after all. The search for extraterrestrial life is a very real thing in the scientific world. But that's besides the point!

Now there's this new animated series, "The Spectacular Spider-Man". Venom will be in it, not until the later stages but still. I wonder how he will be handled, how will the symbiote be handled. There are various ways of bringing the symbiote to earth via meteorite, John Jameson returning on a shuttle with a sample, hell maybe even have the symbiote come from Mars or hitching a ride on some exploration probe. Or hell, have the symbiote arrive on earth thousands of years ago and buried in the ice via the Thing.

I want the symbiote to be alien;

1) In the comics the symbiote has intelligence, it's a thinking living being.

2) It's going to be really pushing the envelope when a cure for cancer can think for itself and responds to hosts thoughts (As much as I dig the ultimate origin).

Also having the symbiote being alien also leaves mystery to it. Why does it do what it does? How can it do what it does? What are it's motivations? It's thought processes? To quote a movie line from the Thing (John Carpenters movie) "Because it's different then us".

So why post this in this thread? Because this website is full of Jackals who will whine and moan when you post something they disagree with, and right now I don't have the energy or will to have my post dissected and then leading onto fifty more points discussing everything. In this thread, I can discuss amongst fellow Venom fans.

So in closing, I hope they don't give Venom the shaft like they did in SM3. Yes, I liked what little of Venom we got in SM3, but so much more could have been done, or at least handled better. I hope Venom is a dominating presence in the new series, but only time will tell.

Here's the whole story...

Angel Medina was the artist (most of the time) for Sensational Spider-Man. When Marvel revealed they would release a Venom miniseries, Marvel had only confirmed the artist, Angel Medina, for the Venom miniseries when they unveiled that cover. Some time later, Marvel annouced that Angel Medina would now be the artist for the 2nd Mighty Avengers arc (which just so happens to be the upcoming Venom Virus arc) so Medina left one Venom project for another. About a month later, Marvel annouces that Mark Bagley is taking Angel's place as the artist for the Venom Virus arc, and since Angel isn't scheduled to return to Sensational Spider-Man, he doesn't seem to be working on anything right now. He may be on some project, he may be back on the Venom miniseries, he may not be doing anything anytime soon with Marvel.

What's interesting is that Medina has had the oppurtunity to work on 3 Venom arcs so far.

What's interesting is that Medina has had the oppurtunity to work on 3 Venom arcs so far.

I havent been able to make the trip yet, what happens in #39? The symbiote tells Eddie to put on the black costume and he does. Eddie Brock kills a nurse and then the symbiote wanted to Brock to kill Aunt May but Brock refused. Then (as I said in my last post) Eddie Brock has cuts all over his arms because he wanted to take the symbiote out from inside him. Eddie attempts suicide but Peter saves him. Thats basically the big things that happen in that Issue. :yay:

I don't think I've read this before, heck, I really hope we don't get Gargan Venom appearance's (as much as I hate him with the symbiote), I would like to see Eddie get the symbiote back, it'll be a stretch but I would like that. Still great new's, even if we do see Gargan Venom soon.
