View Full Version : Working Webshooter - The Video Test
frankmckeever18

Hey guys,
I finally got around to doing a short video of my old working webshooter. I took the video of it only shooting the CO2, but it prooves the point that it DOES work, and it IS possible.
In the video, I say "This'll probably knock the camera over", and I aim it at the camera...and it does just that. This was also done when I only had half of a catridge filled up.
If you're interested in seeing the 50 second clip, please talk with me on AIM at: silverboy3005 That's the only place I can send the video, because hotmail won't allow such a large attachment. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd appreciate it.
Anyways, I'm online a lot, so if you care to see it, start IMing me!
Thanks.
Shonkie

watch his right hand. the co2 cartriage is in the pouch on his hip. i'm guessing theres a lever or button of somesort that he pushes for it to shoot thru the tube attached to his wrist. its not bad...but CO2 cartriages ARE strong....thats why they use em in paint ball...

Did you shoot the string? Or was it just the gas? Wow, your bigger co2 tank, lasted how many quick bursts? 4-5. A small 12g co2 will be 1 or 2, huh?
frankmckeever18
08-08-2004, 11:45 PM
Thanks guys! I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.
Spider-Who? is right - the trigger is located on the adapter, which is on my belt. My new design will all be wrist-mounted, i just need the money to order the parts and get it ready to go.
Spolen ~ No, I only shot out the CO2. These cartridges are SMALLER than 12 gram and get about 4-5 blasts, so I'm guessing 12 gram would be 7-8 or so.
Spiderman14fan ~ Thanks for hosting those man. Much appreciated.

They have shrunk a CO2 sprayer. With a little work, it could be transfromed into real working webshooters.

THat's about the size of the Co2 tanks that are used in some paintball handheld pistols.

The tanks are normal, I am talking about the chamber they go in.

frankmckeever18 could you put some pictures of your webshooter pleazzzzzzzzzzz
The Joker™
01-20-2006, 10:38 AM
wait so its a real webshooter or something that just shoots out glue.
you don't get the kind of web lines that spidey does do you?
Kuriatey08
01-20-2006, 10:45 PM
all that the video is is like a co2 cartridge and a trigger system around a belt that shoots out air, nothing more, it doesn't actually shoot anything,... now i think he may have different models that do different things, but no "real" web-shooter thing yet
The Joker™
01-21-2006, 01:37 AM
Have they ever gone into detail as to how Spidey's really work?
Kuriatey08
01-24-2006, 07:21 PM
no, not really,...
LobokDaikon

I don't think it was able to explain everything, as there are some inconsistencies and there's a certain level of suspension of disbelief when it comes to his webshooters, but they have done a pretty technical explanation. I forget where it comes from, though. Probably the Marvel Handbook from the 80s. If you search around on the net enough, you can find the picture and probably the explanation as well.

Maybe you should have "inwented" a spidey spell checker first slick. So if you guys actually make somthin like this are you guys actually gonna like try to swing on it and ****? I mean I love spider-man and all things Marvel and DC, but I think you cats might be takin this a little too far. He's fictional, noone is ever actually gonna become spider-man. If you guys are feindin' for a little action then play spider-man 2.

I have no clue where that video has gone. It was on my old computer and I don't have it anymore. I never saved it at all... oh well.
And yes, of course I was a dreamer. I was young, you can't blame me.
Besides, if we don't have dreams, we have nothing. right?
anyways, I hope everyone on here is doing good. I've been lurking a lot lately. I need to start posting more often.
