Amy Adams would be the best choice for Poison Ivy I think.
I thinks there are plenty of better choices, than her, but she's an interesting choice.

Yeah, that's true. Nolan has taken another route with his Batman films. So all we can do is day dream about Ivy in a Batman film.

I don't get why people suggest Eva Green for Ivy, she doesn't remind me of Ivy at all. Is it the name? I don't get it.

Well, with a decent director, who is very inspired about the character, like myself, she could be done very properly. Same thing with Mr. Freeze. It's Schumacher's fault.

Really? I think she could stand alone as a Villain in a Batman film. There's more to her than sex appeal. But is it going to happen? No. She's not one of Batman's iconic villains, and I notice that a lot of dislike her. But she's my favorite.:woot:

Well she really isn't a deep character. Her character is pretty straight forward. She also isn't a huge favorite either. Unless they give her character a story equivalent of steroids then no she should just be a cameo

Because no writer has really taken the step forward to create a deep story about Ivy. That's what I think. Because all their focus is on Batman's iconic characters, and that's what sell. But I understand what you are saying. But I wouldn't want her to have a cameo role in a Batman movie because that will just tease me...

From what I remember about Ivy, there was a lot of sick and twisted psychology behind the character. That's sounds like something Nolan could get his teeth into. I agree that with the right writers and director she could be the stand-alone villain of a future Batman movie. :up:

Ivy does have some potential. Not as a stand-alone villain for a feature film though. I always thought if she teamed up with one of the A-Listers, Ra's would be a perfect fit. Their ideals seem to match up really well.

lol, well I always wanted more women in these Batman films (Villainesses For Justice, that's my motto!) Not for any kind of man-hating reasons, just because they always add that extra sparkle to a film with their catsuits, high heels and make-up, and their ******y repartee!

Though obviously this will be toned down and made more tasteful in this new line of realist Bat-films.

Exactly. Ivy could fit in these new Batman movies with a more realistic take. Get rid of the superpowers, replace them with concoctions she makes. Same result without the silliness.

I love Uma too, but I think she should stay away from comic book roles now, and I don't think there's a chance in hell she herself would consider doing another Batman movie after the ignominy B&R brought her!

By the way, in another thread entitled "Future Batman Villains", there is some speculation as to whether the actress chosen to play Catwoman would be able to wear any kind of feline-themed costume at all due to Nolan's emphasis on realism. Any thoughts?

Also, considering that Catwoman has been portrayed with every hair colour humanly possible (from blonde, brunette and raven-haired to the less humanly possibly green lol!), I was wondering if people have decided which they think would be best if she does make it into these movies?

A cat themed costume should be her outfit seeing as she's Catwoman. Her whip could be her tail every now and then though I'll be fine with no tail, the claws could be glass cutters like in the cartoon and comics, and as long as she doesn't have the same type of cat ears like Halle's mask, then it'll be all right.

Besides, those same people who ***** and moan about the Batsuit not being like the comic are he same ones who say her costume shouldn't be cat-themed. So I could care less what they think.

Yeah I think having a tail sounds stupid anyway.

lol! I think Charlize is one of only a few women who look stunning with either blonde or dark hair (that black hair in Aeon Flux made her eyes look amazing!) People like Angelina and Liv Tyler look atrocious as blondes, but remain stunning as brunettes :up: .

I personally would prefer to see another blonde Catwoman if she appears in these movies. I guess it's because blonde is often considered the sexiest hair colour, and Selina is the ultimate femme fatale! Plus the actresses that I have in mind would fit the blonde image better than the brunette one :cwink:

By the way, has anyone seen the commercial Charlize does for Christian Dior's J'Adore, in which she strips out of her evening dress? That SO reminds me of Selina Kyle arriving home from another boring socialite party and stripping off to go and put on her catsuit and have some fun! :woot:

Can't remember what the series was called but it's the one where she wears the tiger-skin catsuit and a black face mask and she's accompanied everywhere by a jaguar. She has red hair in a long ponytail. There's probably been other series over the years too :cwink:

Just thought I'd bump these for the people who are living in the past with Angelina Jolie. If you're going to post pics suggesting her at least show recent stuff that represents how she looks. It'd be like representing Britney Spears with pics from when she was 18. That ain't Britney anymore. Just like it ain't Jolie anymore.

The reasoning being obvious. It doesn't support their choice very well. People are going to post pics that best represent their actor/actress. Obviously there's a limit as to what's possible to lose/gain. For example, Nicholson will never reach his physicality of his peak years.

But weight changes that either not too significant, or from a couple months back? It's pretty inconsequential.

She's been that weight for less than a year. If this keeps on for quite a few more, then I'd be more inclined to agree.

No rose-tinted glasses here. I know she's rail-thin. And being a huge fan of hers, I still hate how she looks currently.

Still not going to change the fact that this is grossly under her average weight, one that she's had consistently for years. Maybe this is just a phase she's going through, idk. It's certainly not impossible for her to gain back what she lost.

If Bale looked like that all the time no one would have suggested him for Bruce Wayne. But instead it just comes down as proof of his dedication. Jolie is an entirely different matter.

Why take a risk on someone who looks terrible & may or may not look better in the future and who could quite possibly overshadow the film? There are actresses who have the same (or more) talent, look fantastic & aren't huge celebs. I cannot see Jolie as a credible choice.

As far as Jolie is concerned, I think she would make Catwoman too much of a "Jessica Rabbit" caricature that no-one would take seriously, but I don't think arguments against her physique hold any water. Renee Zellwegger often appears as a skinny wretch in real life, yet she piles on the pounds for Bridget Jones and Beatrix Potter. Angelina is a dedicated actress who would probably be the first to suggest she get her Lara Croft physique back if she got the Catwoman role. She reportedly worked tirelessly to get a hot body for Tomb Raider because she knew she was playing an important sex icon!

To the people calling for emphasis on actresses other than the same old ones, I'll gladly say that my ideal Catwoman actress is the little-mentioned Rebecca Romijn!!!! :up:

I find her hotter than any chick mentioned in this thread but she'd be a bad choice, IMO, for Catwoman.

thank you, I think she is the best choice. She has the build that is elegant and could kick your ass which you need a fair balance of. So many people are against that.

Yeah, Selina is hard to cast because she can't seem fragile but she needs to be really feminine. Michelle was an amazing choice but it's so hard to find someone else who could play her.

For a lot of my RPGs, when I played her, I went to Catherine Zeta Jones, I think she would be awesome if she was younger.

Lena looks like the type that could hold her own against a criminal and then go home shower and doll herself up for a night out with bruce. She also looks like she could pull bruce off to the side by his tie and more or less say I am going to take you now.

Well Keri and Lena are my choices. I really don't want Angelina to be the only choice. I really don't even think she could do it and make me say WOW that was catwoman. I would probably say Wow its Angelina in another seductive female hero role..

Lena's too old for this role imo. She's gonna be 35 pretty soon, so at the earliest, she'll be 37 for the role. Eh.

I always thought Selina should look in her late twenties, very early thirties.

I don't see how age would change anything, just shows she is experienced with the world. She knows what she wants so she takes it. That is why I like older women =)

i dont think shed be bad. Perfect? far from, but if you are talking about acting i disagree. As for looks, theres alot of better choices but i think scarlett is alot better than some of the names in the poll. Elisha Cuthbert? Keira Knightly?
