First off, I didn't diss Jolie, I'm just saying the lips are getting too overexploited and due to the fact that it is, it's looking kinda funny now because I've seen it too many times.

As for the last part, I don't think Jolie is the basis off Catwoman's look. I think that was pretty much established with Jim Balent's rendition of Catwoman, Jolie just happens to be a girl that looks like Balent's version.

I've seen too many renditions of Selina Kyle to just pinpoint the main facial features on one actress. The only thing I know for sure is that most artist just make sure Selina has green eyes and long Black hair, every other feature tends to change depending on the artist......

I've seen too many renditions of Selina Kyle to just pinpoint the main facial features on one actress. The only thing I know for sure is that most artist just make sure Selina has green eyes and long Black hair, every other feature tends to change depending on the artist......

Agreed. Jolie = over exposed. Turn on E! Network, and you'll hear her name every five minutes. Jessica Alba or Kate Beckinsale would be much better choices, I think. Which one would be used depends on several factors though:

1. If we can rule out the possibility that Talia will be in this series (which I think we can), then that should shut up alot of people who think Beckinsale should play Talia just because she used a fake accent in Van Helsing.

2. Who would be easier to persuade into playing the part? Alba is already in Fantastic 4, so it might be tricky to talk her into playing another superheroine, but Kate Beckinsale might not be easy to win over either. How much zeal an actress has for the role could be a deciding factor.

3. Onscreen chemestry with Bale. Obviousely, only a screen test could determine who would be better in the role. However, Kate Beckinsale has worked with Bale before, so she already has some established on screen chemestry. It's possible that Alba could have a better screen presence with him, but the only way to know is with a screen test.

4. The look. I think Alba may have a bit of an edge here. She's got the curves required for the role, and she has a little more of an exotic look than Beckinsale, which could help make her seem a little more cat-like.

While Beckinsale is my top choice, I am open to whichever one Nolan should cast. As long as it's not Angelina Jolie, I trust Nolan's judgment to pick the right actress for the part.

IMO, I think they did that to save as a "surprise" for the audience in a future sequel where Ra's would return. After his supposed death as Ra's/Ducard in the first film, it will be shocker to the regular audience to find out how he returns.


Batman will have to see Catwoman eventually, once he sees those lips, her identity will be oh-too-obvious...... Oh, well in that case I don't see it as much of a problem. If I recall in the comics, and even in BR, Bruce figures out Catwoman's identity pretty early on in their relationship. For Bats it's ok for him to know since we're so used to him knowing anyway. As for the rest of Gotham finding out, well...check my above post concerning that.

Why isn't Catherine Zeta-Jones in the list?? Anyway, I'm not sure about Angelina Jolie. Why does everyone want her? :p She's a good actress but I don't want this to be type-casting. I never really picture Jolie when I think of Selina Kyle, but she won't be bad - they could do worse.

Alba?, Alba? Everytime I see or hear about Jessica Alba I think of two things. One, that horrible urban movie. Two, the train that most likely followed offset between takes. Hot, yes. Catwomen, no. Just my opinion. If it were up to me I would want jolie. Cut her hair short, instant Selina. However, in light of our British Batman, it will most likely be Beckinsale...............or Hermione Granger.

Why don't we just make it a law that no-one can play action heroines except Angelina Jolie? That seems to be what alot of people around here want. :\

Jolie should not be Catwoman. There are plenty of other talented actresses out there who could do it better, and aren't over-exposed and over-publicized like Jolie.
