Why don't we just make it a law that no-one can play action heroines except Angelina Jolie? That seems to be what alot of people around here want. :\

Jolie should not be Catwoman. There are plenty of other talented actresses out there who could do it better, and aren't over-exposed and over-publicized like Jolie.

thing is you want alba and after this summer she'll have already had 2 comic book character roles so i don't think another would be a good thing as Sue and Selina are to iconic to have the same person play both.

Sorry i never saw your other responses as i don't visit this thread that often but I still can't see a way to Have Alba play Sue and Selina If She hadn't played Sue she'd be my 2nd chooice but now i think she's out the running,Plus Jolie seems the fan majority favourite by a long way so if the filmmakers care what we think she'll be catwoman:)

sorry i should heve said opinion across the net is that jolie should be catwoman like on aicn,IGN and cbm....thing i don't get is the whole overexposed bit,I mean the role should be about who' looks and acts best for the part and that imo is jolie....I still don't see them casting anyone else unless they go for a complete unknown;)

oh and one important thing, whoever they do pick, make sure she has chemistry with bale, i want the screen to be on fire when bats and cat have one of their confrontations, i loved the interactions between pfeifer and keaton, she was so sultry in BR and she proved a great adversary/love interest for Keatons Bats.

i was 6 when i saw Batman Returns, i had got this major crush on Pfeifer, her having a gun strapped to her leg did it for me (she did it for me in what lies beneath when her legs are wide open!!!)

anyways, you cant just get any big name, she has to work well with Bale, and i think Nolan knows this.

Well she is also a great actress IMO and hasn't really headlined that many action movies and she is just so perfect IMo for selina that i can't see anyone else in the part and casting to me should be about who looks and acts right for the part not about status and to me i just can't see any of the other choices coming close to being selina>The unknown thing just won't work for me as selina has to be close to bruce's age and i don't think your gonna just stumble on some undiscovered actress in her late 20's that will be able to top jolie.For me it's not about her status andf i havent chosen her for any other comic movies but she is IMO the embodiement of catwoman and that should be first and foremost in the casting desicion process

but that's the thing. jolie isn't an actress in my opinion. she's a star. neeson, caine, oldman, freeman... they are renowned for their ACTING talents. jolie is renowned for her giant rack and gargantuan lips... and only partially for her acting ability. those other actors can shake their fame and become a role. jolie doesn't have that ability. she's a headliner now much like brad pitt is, or julia roberts, or harrison ford. she makes the movie rather than vice versa. a role should define an actor not the other way around.

Well she is also a great actress IMO and hasn't really headlined that many action movies and she is just so perfect IMo for selina that i can't see anyone else in the part and casting to me should be about who looks and acts right for the part not about status and to me i just can't see any of the other choices coming close to being selina>The unknown thing just won't work for me as selina has to be close to bruce's age and i don't think your gonna just stumble on some undiscovered actress in her late 20's that will be able to top jolie.For me it's not about her status andf i havent chosen her for any other comic movies but she is IMO the embodiement of catwoman and that should be first and foremost in the casting desicion process

But my reasoning behind choosing someone that much younger is that in the comics I always got the impression she was kind of obedient and childlike. She just doesn't act like a 30 year old woman. Bale is thirty and Alba is twenty-three, a seven year difference. I personally don't consider that too young. A Woman at the age of 18 or something would be fairly too young, IMO. If you think that everyone that likes Jolie for the role is simply because of her sex appeal, then you are seriously mistaken. IMO Jolie has the sexiness needed for the role (no doubt from anyone I'm sure), yet she can also look "proper" and elegant as well (see above). So really, no matter what version the director wants Catwoman to be, Jolie can do both which not many of the actresses named for the role can do.

Sorry, but I can't argue with you there. She has the acting chops and an alright body, looks like the ideal choice for Balent's Selina Kyle, but I just don't want her to be Catwoman, plain and simple. I still think a younger, spunkier Catwoman should be in the sequel, and my choice is still Alba.:o:up:
