Who gots some? I picked up my starter set today, and I must say, it's perhaps the coolest game idea I've ever seen.

My set came with

Rookie Wolverine
Rookie SHIELD Agent
Experienced Jean Grey
Experienced Wasp
Experienced Blizzard
Experienced Juggernaut
Experienced Firelord
Unique Nightmare

I'm going back tomorrow to grab some more figures. I'll tell you how my first game went out.

My team: Wolverine - Jean - Wasp - Blizzard
My sister: Nightmare
My brother: Firelord - SHIELD Agent

I had the big team full of weaklings. We were in the shopping mall setup. I manipulated Nightmare into taking out the SHIELD Agent, and began clobbering both him and Firelord long range with clutter lifted by telekenesis. Blizzard and Wasp took heavy hits, but after Jean pegegd Firelord down some, Blizzard was able to get some shots in. Wasp was KO'd. I kept Wolverine hiding in the bushes, due to his Stealth power, and Jean out of everybody's range, pelting them with stuff until it was all gone.

Firelord was flying too high, and out of my range. So, I told my sister the plan. I'd let Firelord take out Blizzard, while the rest of us hide in the mall. After he defeated Blizzard, he was forced to enter the mall if he wanted to win. So he did, but this dragged him into my range. Quickly, I used the last two objects to slam Nightmare and Firelord, weakening them. Then, Wolverine came into play, taking out Nightmare, and then Wolverine and Jean mobbed Firelord, escaping without a scratch.

A beautiful game, and the most fun I've had in the Marvel Universe since the X-Men Xavier's Under Siege board game.

Well, I can't use my figurine credit on the store, because the Heroclix haven't shown up in price guides. So I grabbed a booster pack.

My new guys:

Veteran Hercules
Veteran Annihilus
Veteran Skrull Warrior
Rookie Blizzard

I had another battle, this time one on one against my brother. 300 point max. value.

My Team: Annihilus - Wolverine - Juggernaut - Skrull Warrior
His Team: Jean Grey - Blizzard (Ex.) - Firelord - Wasp - SHIELD Agent - Hercules

The Battle: Outdoors street setting. The Battle began simple enough, I streamed off of the purple rooftop, and he swarmed the streets. He set himself up, Hercules grabbing hold of a desktop, Jean Grey setting herself up to telekenetically manipulate a forklift. But... he set himself up bad. Juggernaut, who is technically invulnerable, negated Herc's weapon, and clobbered him one. Annihilus, who can blast three guys at once, nailed Blizzard, Wasp, and Jean, while Wolverine took it easy hiding in the bushes, scoping the fight. The Combo of Annihilus and Skrull took out Wasp, Jean, and Blizzard, while Herc smashed the Skrull into oblivion. The SHIELD Agent hid on the far side of the board. Bad idea. Juggernaut kept at Hercules, hiding on the other side of him to stay away from Firelord's blasts. Heavy projectiles took Firelord down enough for Wolverine to cut him down, after nailing the SHIELD Agent. Then, it was a simple matter of Juggernaut and Wolverine pelting Hercules. Game over.

God, I love this game!

I can't wait 'till they release Sentinel... good Lord, he's nearly seven inches tall, and a fully playable Heroclix character...

Then there'll be Outdoors and Indoors sets, with 3D objects and extra maps to play upon... Good Lord, why was this stuff never done with Marvel Heroes before?

The only problem was so many great characters were completely ignored... Iron Man... Storm... Abomination... The Leader... Venom... Dr. Doom... Thor... Loki... Silver Surfer... Ghost Rider...

The obscure characters, like Blizzard, Whirlwind, Mr. Hyde, etc. are definitely appreciated, but why so few heavy hitters?

Oh well. Series two, right?

I'd buy a set, but I'd probably be hard pressed to find someone to play with, because I'm the ONLY True Believer I know, but, hell, I'll probably buy one anyways, just because those figurines are really friggin' cool.

Cyclops

I would love to find another collector to play with, because the game is amazing!

I played my sister again today, so I'll give ya the lowdown.

My team: Annihilus - Juggernaut - Blizzard (Ex.) - Wolverine - SHIELD Agent

My sister: Nightmare - Hercules - Skrull Warrior - Wasp - Jean Grey

The Sitch: My toughest battle yet, in the shopping mall setting. The battle began with me desperately filing out of a small room, with my sister beginning in the main floor. Bringing Annihilus out, I try to nail the Skrull, but he shapeshifts away. I keep Blizzard and SHIELD together, due to SHIELD's +1 projectile bonus, blasting others away. She brings Hercules in to deal with Annihilus, and we begin trading punches. I've got an edge, because Annihilus is Invulnerable, but Hercules is only Tough. Plus, Annihilus is able to hit several people at once. Herc can only focus on Annihilus. Skrull falls soon enough, and Nightmare slips away to deal with Juggernaut. The fight goes in Nightmare's favor, but for some reason he flees the scene. Bad move. He could have had Juggernaut on the ropes. Now he's only Tough instead of Invulnerable, and is able to be damaged by Blizzard and Annihilus. Blizzard takes a critical hit from Jean, getting struck with a file cabinet, and his power is immensely weakened. Annihilus proceeds to defeat Hercules, but barely escaping. Wolverine, the whole time was holding off until he could come into play. Juggernaut finally smacks Nightmare out of Toughness, and Wolverine comes out, taking Nightmare down with a whopping six roll on Claws/Fangs/Blades power. Wasp falls in a double shot from Annihilus to her and Jean, which was unsuccesful to Jean. She harasses me with Jean, taking Annihilus and Wolverine down, but Juggernaut closes in for the kill.

So what do you have, Gamer? How many pieces you got, and what characters?

But that won't be quite as cool as going up against Gambit.

Yeah, well guess what? The store Gambit and me shop at gives us free credit towards more figures for each time we buy something! We spend twenty bucks worth of Clix? We get twenty bucks of free credit. Already I've grabbed a free Veteran
Sabretooth and a free Experienced Scarlet Witch, a total of eleven dollars of value! And I've got abot $41 more dollars left to pick and choose!! :D :D

I GOT SOME!

I found the Heroclix at the electronic gaming store at the mall!

I immediately got a starter set and a booster. I wanted to get the big starter set... that has the 10 *non-random* characters, with SPIDER-MAN and the HULK, etc... but they didn't have those... anyone seen em?

Anyway, my starter set didn't come with a unique, but it did have some veterans and along with the booster, I got these veterans:

DAREDEVIL
JUGGERNAUT
CONSTRICTOR
VULTURE

Then experienced; WOLVERINE, KINGPIN, and FIRELORD. :)

My Firelord dosn't want to stay on his base, so I think I will glue him carefully. . .

Great game. . . played a few times. . . must have more! Must have Unique Symbiote SPIDER-MAN!

Cyclops
06-17-2002, 12:10 AM
Just last night, me & Gambit had our first fight!

Cyclops's Team: Wolverine (E) - Professor Xavier (E) - Juggernaut (E) - Annihilus (E) - Elektra (V) - Wasp (U)

Gambit's Team: Hulk (E) - Hobgoblin (E) - Blizzard (E) - Whirlwind (E) - Kingpin (V) - Bullseye (V) - Juggernaut (U)

Setting: Outdoors, Map 2

The Overview:

At the roll, I got to move first. Juggernaut was sent over to a dinner table, while Elektra and Wolverine hid in the shrubbery. Xavier held back, while Annihilus and Wasp leaped into the forefront. Gambit brought out his forces, sending Whirlwind, Hulk, Bullseye and Hobgoblin to the front. A running shot from Annihilus pegged Hulk, Hobgoblin and Whirlwind down. Professor Xavier got a hold of Bullseye, manipulating him into shooting Hobgoblin down.

A huge part of Gambit's strategy involved pushing his characters to try and hit mine, but those hits failed. Hobgoblin, Whirlwind, and Hulk fell first, followed by Bullseye. At this point, Gambit's startegy changed to running away. I bring out Elektra and Wolverine, cornering down his team. I had kingpin cornered with juggernaut and Wolverine, but he ran down the stairs. A mind control action from the Prof. sent Kingpin back up the stairs, while he survived the beating, decided to commit suicide by leaping off the building's roof.

Then, it was a matter of taking out Blizzard and whittling down Juggernaut.

Score thus far, Cyclops 1, Gambit 0. We'll be keeping you posted on how things keep up.

V. Magneto. . . Man is he cool! What a bad mofo. . . does 4 clicks damage!
V. Annihilus . . another bad mofo. . .
V Constrictor...

Those are the highlights. . . I NEED A SPIDER-MAN! I don't have any, let alone the unique.

Have any of you seen the deluxe starter kit that comes with 10 characters? It has SPIDER-MAN and the HULK in it supposedly. . . but I can't find one . . .

Anywho . . . My son beat the crap outta me tonight cause he kept using Scarlet Witch's ability to make me roll again and I couldn't hit his high level defensive characters consistently. . .dang. Fun game though.

Do ya'll play with a time limit or just go untill all of one side is killed, or gives up?

Hey Guys,

I have a couple of questions about Heroclix game play. Just wondering how ya'll interpret the rules.

1) How many actions do you take per turn?

2) Do you have to use an action to remove a marker from a hero, or do they all clear at the end of the next turn?

ALSO: I'm a pretty heavy eBay user, and there are a lot of Heroclix on there. I even found both the SPIDER-MAN and BATMAN promotional figures and an INQUEST mag with Heroclix featured. . .

THANKS in advance for any answers to the questions!

He gets released next Monday. Six inches tall, 100 points each. Kewl!

As for your questions:

(1) - First, set a score limit for your team construction. Then, divide that result by 100. That's how many actins you get per turn. Remeber: Avengers and Brotherhood members move for free.

(2) - Action markers are optional, they just let you know who's done what so far. That's all.

I saw the Premire pack today but i had most of the figures. For example: I think that all the sets come with a experience Spider-Man and a rookie Wolverine. It shows the two on a clear circle on the box.

As you see I have 3/4 of all the Spider-Man heroclixs!:p

Yes, I noticed that. . . (fumes slightly). . . BUT, I'm happy for you man! :)

I will buy the Premire pack as soon as I see it. I am also eyeing a few goodies on eBay . . heehehe. . . I might be able to score the SPIDER-MAN and BATMAN promos...

{{New stuff: Hulk (R) - Quasar (U) - Thug (E) - Vulture (V) - Blade (R) - Rogue (E)}}

And it happened right in my house. Kee-ool.

Two teams, four players, 500 points per player.

Cyclops's Team: - Quasar (U) - Professor Xavier (E) - Wolverine (E) - Juggernaut (E) - Rogue (V) - Scarlet Witch (V)

&

Sister's Team: - Nightmare (U) - Bullseye (E) - Hercules (V) - Sabretooth (V) - Annihilus (V)

Vs.

Gambit's Team: - Captain America (U) - Spider-Man (U) - Pyro (V) - Firelord (V) - Hulk (E) - Elektra (V) - Jean Grey (V)

&

Brother (formerly known as Mini-Hulk on these boards): - Kingpin (V) - Daredevil (V) - Whirlwind (E) - Controller (R) - Constrictor (R) - Wolfsbane (E) - SHIELD Agent (R) - SHIELD Medic (R) - Skrull Warrior (R, E, & V) - Blade (V)

The lowdown: The shopping mall map. A huge melee ensued when all the pieces swarmed outside to confront each other.

My main strategy fell when Firelord got a critical hit on Quasar, a full six clicks. So I had to change. Juggernaut, Hercules, & Sabretooth swarmed out and hit Mini-Hulk's team down a lot. Numbers don't mean power. Spider-Man had Outwit with him after afew hits, cancelling Annihilus's Invulnerability, allowing Firelord to hit him. Hard. Nightmare and Rogue swarmed through Gambit's team, taking out Captain America, Jean, Pyro, and Spider-Man. Hulk retreated under Firelord's fire to grab a dumpster.

Mini-Hulk finally went down as he pushed Blade too far to take Bullseye out, and it was down to Nightmare, Juggernaut, Wovlerine and Rogue to handle Firelord and Hulk. Rogue and Wolverine pegged Firelord down enough before being taken down to allow Juggernaut to crush Firelord, and Nightmare and Juggernaut pummeled Hulk down enough to get the win for my side.

This was the most engaging game of anything I've ever played... and so incredibly nerve-wracking. Immensely fun.

Action markers are optional. They're only there so you can see who you've moved and who you haven't. After the end of your turn, you clear them.

The only problem we had was that the map doesn't flatten good enough. We need to get a big piece of plexiglass or something to place over the board so we get a smoother map.

Regarding the action markers. . .

If you clear them after every turn the game does flow better . . . faster. . . and we play that way sometimes. But then you loose the "push" concept. Where a given character is not supposed to have consecetive actions. . . that is if they had an action the previous turn, they are supossed to wait a turn or you have to "push" them. In that case they get a click of damage *and* another marker. . . Note that some super powers can assign a marker and damage in this way.

The rules do allow that *both* markers clear together at the end of the next turn. . .

Bada-bing, bada-boom! 500-point game comin' at ya!

Cyclops's Team: Sentinel (Mark VII, 300 pts) - Quasar (U) - Elektra (V) - Scarlet Witch (V)

Mini-Hulk's Team: Annihilus (V) - Firelord (E) - Sabretooth (V) - Captain America (R) - Hulk (R) - SHIELD Agent (R,E) - Blade (R) - Skrull Warrior (V)

The Battle:

The invasion began. He moved first, pulling Firelord out to the forefront. BIG MISTAKE!!! Sentinel's Running Shot allowed him to nail Firelord four clicks. Elektra zipped out into the bushes, sneaking from bush to bush until she got close enough to nail Captain America and Sabretooth. Sentinel and Quasar continued to pummel Firelord and Annihilus, until Quasar was KO'd. Scarlet Witch was a key player - continually screwing Mini's rolls up.

Annihilus and Firelord fell, and the Skrull Warrior leaped from the top of a tall building to his demise. Sentinel stormed forward and removed the SHIELD Agents with Scarlet Witch's aid. This allowed him to capture the still-Bruce Banner Hulk, and managed to take him home and out of the game. Then it was a simple matter of Scarlet Witch taking out Cap, and Sentinel taking out Sabretooth before the Stealthed Blade was forced to come out. Sentinel smashed the rest of his hindering terrain. He fell with a single Sentinel blast. Sentinel, Scarlet Witch, and Elektra escaped entirely unharmed.

500 pt. game, the mall setting - with a few additions. I used the "SPECIAL" pads as "Warp Portals". They'd switch around the board after every turn cycle, plus a bunch of explosives placed around the board randomly.

Me - Spider-Man (U) - Cyclops (E) - Magneto (R) - Wolverine (E) - Hercules (V) - Whirlwind (V) - Hydra Medic (R, E, V)

Mini-Hulk - Ultron (R) - Kang (V) - Juggernaut (V) - Quicksilver (E) - Vulture (V)

Sister (Mamma Spider) - Scarlet Witch (V) - Spider-Man (V) - Hulk (E) - Sentinel (Mark I) - Thug (E) - Annihilus (V)

The battle: Well, I got first move, so I swarmed out towards the mall, hiding Wolvie in the bushes. Everybody but Maggie and the Medics swarmed with Herc grabbing a light object and standing next to Magneto. Then it was Sister's turn. Sentinel began smashing through the wall, with Bruce Banner following out. Her Spidey moved out too, into the middle of the mall, as well as Annihilus. Mini-Hulk's turn came around, so Kang phased towards the outside, Vulture charged out, Quicksilver hit the teleport pad and warped out towards my zone, and Juggernaut moved over to smash a wall. Ultron stayed put.

My turn again, Magneto telekinetically shoved Herc over to smash Quicksilver, killing him with five clicks. Cyclops hit Annihilus, and then Spidey Incapacitated him, effectively trapping all of Mamma Spider's forces, except for Spidey. Her mistake. When it was her turn, she continued smashing through with the Sentinel. M-H whooped up on her Spidey with Kang and Ultron, while I continued whipping Annihilus, hitting him and Vulture in the same shot.

The fighting continued, until M-H got the warps the way he wanted. He moved all his forces into Mamma Spider's arena - bad idea. the Sentinel came back, captured Ultron and Kang, and eliminated them. I continued picking my way through, eliminating her Spidey, and and Thug, while Hulk came back inside, smashing Juggernaut alongside Hercules. Cyclops took out the Hulk with a critical hit, and then, Mamma Spider got kickied out of the game for farting in M-H's face. Then it was a simple matter of Cyclops pummeling Juggernaut into submission.

Ugh, I'm so confused with it! I tried to play with my father, we could barely set it up and play it... We had to quit within one attack... Can someone post EASY directions on how to play, and answer this one question... If one team has no long range attack abilities, than they lose, no matter what... Because they would have to get close, and than the other team could easily take them out with a long range attack. Is there any rule that we missed that disables us from that happening? Thanks in advance.:)

You've got to develop a well-rounded team, mixed with ranged attacks and non-rangers. Explain later. LOTR's playin'.

I think I'm gonna give this game a try. I only have one comics fan in all my friends and family (my cousin) that'll play, though, but I'm dyin' to give this a try.

All right. Continuing.

First things first, set a point limit for team building. Keep it in multiples of 100, don't go higher than 500.

Next, build a well-rounded team. Try to mix a decent range, super strength, telekinesis, flight, support, and leadership if you can. Keep team abilities in mind.

Next, one player rolls the dice to pick a map. Even is map 2, odd is map 1.

Now, choose a starting position. You must try and fit all your characters within a 4x2 area, stretching lengthwise across the edge of the map.

For play, always keep your rulebook and superpower chart handy for reference. In choosing how many moves you get, divide the total point value of the game by 100, and you get it. For example: a 300 point game will allow you 3 moves per turn. Remember that Avengers and Brotherhood members move, but don't attack, for free.

A few other things to remember:

1) You cannot move and attack in the same turn unless your character has a superpower that allows him/her to do so.

2) When counting out a ranged attack's distance, try to keep it to as straight a line as possible. Anything gets in the way, be it a wall or another character, that attack cannot be made.

3) When damage or healing is dealt to your character, make sure that you are the one to do the clicking, not your opponent.

4) If you forget about a certain power, then remember it after you've finished with that character (say, for example, you forgot to give Rogue her click of healing for Energy Drain), you cannot go back and fix it.

Anything I forgot, Gambit, Gamer, anybody else?

For 200 points, not bad. You've got some leadership, which is good, some superstrength, which is very good, and some healing power, which can save a game, but what you lack is a ranged powerhouse. Your range doesn't exceed 4, which will put you at a severe disadvantage against a player with a Professor Xavier or a Cyclops on his team. Let's not even get started on going up against the almighty Firelord. You also lack Telekinetic power, which, from time to time, is key in not only pummeling your opponents to submission, but moving your own pieces around as well.

Oh, and regarding high level clix... I may have mentioned that I have the veteran KANG... ((shudder))... It is best to just stay away, and I mean far away from him. If you attack him you better have range combat expert, and be able to do at least 4 damage per hit, or just forget it!

I got me a Veteran Kang.... and a Veteran Firelord... and when you have the two of them hounding down your Veteran Daredevil, you've got some serious problems.

I got extremely lucky though, and managed to Incapacitate Kang, blocking Firelord off from his pursuit, allowing Ben Afflek to live and fight another day. :D

As for Blizzard's plan, I suppose Klaw is a good trade-off for Wolverine. You need to vary your forces as much as possible. Variation is key to survival.

One of my particular favorite teams to play as is

Experienced Prof. X
Experienced Cyclops
Experienced Wolverine
Experienced Jean Grey
Experienced Rogue
Veteran Hercules
Veteran Daredevil

You've got a huge range of possibilities crammed into 400 points (I think), with some great up-close fighters, some of the best ranged combatants in the game, and the only character that gets hit 66% of the time on successful rolls.

This one occured last night, in the Indoor Pack's Mansion setting. Point value: 530. Thanks to those Plot Cards that the set comes with, there's a storyline attached.

The X-Men, consisting of Professor Xavier (E), Cyclops (E), Wolverine (E), Jean Grey (E), and Rogue (V) were discussing the legal ramifications of going public with Attorney Matt Murdock (Daredevil, V)peacefully in Xavier's mansion when, a furious pounding at the door knocks it down. Lo and behold, Hercules (V), Spider-Man (U), and a Hydra Medic (V) stand at the door, proclaiming urgent news!

Apparently, there's an ancient artifact buried just underneath the first floor bathroom at the mansion, and a squad of villains is coming after it, according to the Hydra operative, who claims to be a SHIELD spy. She offers her healing expertise in the defense of the mansion.

No sooner than the warning is issued when the side wall blows in, and the aforementioned villains burst in!! Nightmare (U), Kang (V), Klaw (V), and Ultron (R) immediately begin rummaging through the mansion, looking for the artifact.

Now Murdock, entirely uncostumed, faces a dilemma! As the X-Men, Hercules and Spider-Man engage the villains, he's hanging around out of costume! He slips outside unnoticed, and changes to Daredevil while hiding in the bushes!

Rogue and Hercules keep Kang on his toes, with Rogue staying in close with Kang every chance she gets (her Invulnerability keeps her safe from his 2 up-close damage rating) and pegs him down a few times! Nightmare comes to the aid of Kang, only to get tangled up in some genuine Spider-Man webbing! This gives Hercules the chance he needed. He had been carrying around the computer the whole time, and proceeds to smash it into Kang's face, critically weakening him! While Rogue continues to keep her focus on Kang, Hercules proceeds to beat the **** out of Nightmare. Soon enough, Nightmare's out of the game, but not before Klaw takes Xavier.

Luckily, the artifact is surrounded by hindering terrain (Toilet and a bathtub), so Wolverine moves in to protect it. They can't get in, and he can't get hit. Gotta love Stealth.

Kang is weakened further, so much so that he is no longer a problem, so Rogue moves against Ultron, while Cyclops, standing atop a desk (to add 2 to his defense rating) gets taxied around by Jean allwoing him maximum movement and blasting power. Spider-Man's been hit, but he's gotten wiser for it. He manages to trick Ultron into letting his defenses down, giving even Daredevil a chance to nail him one. But DD pays for it, and takes three clicks.

The villains are thoroughly routed now, so Wolverine comes back into play, hounding down Klaw relentlessly. Cyclops gets a decent shot in at Klaw, weakening him almost as low as Kang. He retreats with Kang out to the swimming pool, with wolverine in hot pursuit.

Hercules gets into a match with Ultron, taking a severe beating for his efforts, but still hanging tough. Grabbing a vending machine, he finally proceeds to crush Ultron with Rogue's assistance. The medic proves her worth, restoring Daredevil to his peak so he can aid Wolverine in removing Kang and Klaw.

Matt Murdock's secret identity is protected, and more importantly, the ancient artifact remains undisturbed.

My team:
Professor Xavier (E)
Cyclops (E)
Wolverine (E)
Jean Grey (E)
Rogue (V)
Hercules (V)
Daredevil (V)
Hydra Medic (V)
Spider-Man (U)

My scenario card: "Nice, Relaxing Day"

Opponent's team:

Ultron (R)
Kang (V)
Klaw (V)
Nightmare (U)

Opponent's scenario card: "Hidden Prize"

Oh, come on! You gotta admit - ask most Marvel readers to name five Marvel villains off the top of their heads, heck or even ten or twenty, and Blizzard's not gonna be on that list. :D :D

Besides, Blizzard's little more than a superpowered lackey. He's definitely no masterminding villain.

As for a good 300-point team, you've got plenty of options.

Annihilus can provide good Taxiing through his flight ability, while Hercules can give you a cheap Superstrengther. I always put a Hercules on my team if I've got the chance. Scarlet Witch will give you the ability to change dice rolls you don't like (within a ten-square radius, of course), Wasp will give you some good Incapacitation, as well as Leadership. Now let's see what your total is:

103 + 67 + 29 + 44 = 273

You still have a bit of space left you can fill. A good 27 points worth. That, I'd fill up with a SHIELD Medic (R) for some decent healing power. and Vulture (R) for more flight Taxiing. That fills your total to exactly 300, and you've covered a decent range of powers.

The Ruuuuumbbbleeee!!

Gambit moves first, and moves Dr. Strange in to get close to the Stasis-bound Kang. Hulk goes around the side of the building while Cyclops moves up to the small white building on the side of the main one to get a good sniper position.

Brother's turn, moves Aquaman to grab lightpost, and Grodd to take a heavy item token, amongst other trivial moves.

My turn: Herc gets moved by Mags to grab the mailbox, and moves up to confront Grodd. I can handle him, I assume. Spider-Man moves in to spend some time figuring out the combination to the artifact's lock. Daredevil moves out with the Warrior, and Scarlet Witch gets into good position to change anybody's roll.

Gambit comes back around, frees Kang, and Cyclops and him begin shooting at Brother's forces.

Brother has Grodd smash Hercules critically, no thanks to a little thing called Outwit by Nightwing. But revenge is mine, when I outwit Grodd back, and kill him with a Herc-Warrior combo. Spidey waits some more. Panther runs around to try to deal with Kang. Best he can do though, is hide. Perplex is very annoying when used against you.

A lot of back and ofrth, and most pieces are taken out. I acomplish my scenario's goals, while Kang being defeated makes Gambit's scenario end.

End result:

Scenario victory is mine, even though I was taken out. Gambit won the battle portion, though. Yeah, I shortened it. Alot.

We get the first in-depth look at a Clobberin' Time piece, and she's a doozy!

It's none other than Spiral! (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/sneakpeak.asp?cid=37186)

And you know what that means... we're getting a Mojo as well!

Here she is, Malice's alter ego herself...

The Invisible Woman! (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/sneakpeak.asp?cid=37199)

On a side note... does anybody care anymore?

Here you have it... the HUMAN TORCH! (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/sneakpeak.asp?cid=37216)

Man, lookit that sculpt! And a 10 speed with Running Shot? 3 damage? This'll be good.

Prophet924

Did you see the shot of all four Fantastic members with the booster boxes on Wizkids' site?

I think the Sue and Johnny figures are older pieces before the flying bases were added. Well maybe Sue's rookie version will be flight-less, however I doubt Johnny's is.

I cannot wait!!!

Since the lame dock owners and workers have delayed my getting Marvel Legends Series Two till who knows when, I have shifted my enthusiasm to Heroclix!

DOOM will be mine!

Did you notice that Experienced Sue was about 57 points and Experienced Johnny was about 59? I wonder what that will make Reed and Ben? Wasn't it reported that the various levels all add up to a rounded point value like Rookie 4 team = 200 points; Experienced 4 team = 300 points; and Veteran 4 team = 400 points? Or something of that ilke. . .

So if Exp Sue and Johnny are 116 pts together that would mean the combo of Reed and Ben at Exp would be 184 pts, I doubt it would be the difference of 200 pts. So Reed and Ben would be at an average of 92 points each or something like that. Wow! Those are some stout Exp pieces!

I cannot wait. I am going to buy 6 boosters on day of release and may go in on a case with a friend. . .

Thwipp!

I've seen the sculpt for Thor in a Magazine somewhere, and it's impressive. I hope that he, like Invisible Woman, gains flight in his later incarnations. The ability to carry figures is an incredible, but often overlooked power. Not as good as Telekinetically moving someone (one: you don't put the mover in as much danger - two: you can TK Battle Fury figs, but you can't carry them), but still really good nonetheless.

Prophet924
10-28-2002, 01:03 PM
I will just have to live with my Beserker LE.

Vision is great! He is a great addition to the Avengers and kicks some serious bootie.

Plus the FAQ on WizKids Games has made it clear that Vision can phase objects and people with him. So he can pick up the desk and phase through the wall with it to clobber a guy in the room. . .

Cool.

I cannot wait for Clobbering Time! It should be fun.

Cyclops

Gonna get one of those. Picked up the mag yesterday, should be able to order.

Anyway, major NEWSFLASH TIME!!!

WOLVERINE EVISCERATES BATMAN!! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!

Wolverine debunks the "unbeatable through preptime" argument by ripping Batman a new one, taking him out with one shot.
"Well, bub, it took me a while t'realize, but teamwork is a hell of a lot better 'n frikkin' 'Prep Time'," Says once-loner Wolverine. "Me an' my buddy Quasar got t'gether t' solve our little Bat infestation problem, so he boosted me over t' the couch where Bats was hidin' and I ripped inta him knockin' him int' the wall an' takin' him out."

"I feel I really put in a good performance this time," Quasar said, "Not only did I help Wolverine eliminate Batman, but I also kept Flash trapped in a forcefield in between Cyclops's optic blasts."

Also key in the Marvel victory over DC was new team player The Vision, who kept fellow superstrong phaser Swamp Thing on his vegetable toes the whole time.
"The probability of my losing to Swamp Thing was .000999%," Vision said. "Especially with Black Panther tricking him into letting his guard down. After that, it was a simple matter of manipulating the mass of a vending machine to optimum efficiency and teamwork to defeat the Thing."

"All in all, I'd say it was a fight worth a good brewski," Wolverine concluded. "So what if they took out Wasp and one o' our medics? Anytime I c'n drag Cyke to actually drink a brew means we had a good tussle."

I've stopped buying Heroclix, but can anyone give me a list of Marvel Heroclix figs to buy? I just want to have enough so I can build 2 armies that can be competitive (ie win) against a DC Heroclix army. I don't want to buy boosters until I gotten the entire set. Thanks.

Cyclops
10-29-2002, 10:27 AM
Well, that's tough, man, because variation is the key.

Get as well-mixed a range of figures as you can. Grab some ranged powerhouses, some up-close bruisers, make sure to have SuperStrength and Telekinesis if you can, Leadership, Outwit, and Flight. Beyond that, it's up to you. One 500-point team I've had a blast with recently was

Quasar (U)
Vision (U)
Wasp (U)
Cyclops (V)
Wolverine (V)
Black Panther (V)
SHIELD Medic (V)
Hydra Medic (V)

It gave me an excellent mix of powers and options.

sabin26

So far the two main people that I use is my Cyclops (v) and Ultron (v) and I build around those two. I like using Black Panther with his outwit. But that is who I normally use.

Can't wait for November 13th!!!

Cyclops

But Spiral looks to be the biggest asskicker in the game! Just imagine the sheer power of Flurry and B/C/F combined... the potential is phenomenal!

Just get Quasar or someone else to TK her over to one of the enemies' heaviest hitters, and you've got the potential to deal 12 damage to that piece. Toss in an Outwit and that can easily topple even Swamp Thing and Superman in one blow.

Cyclops

I wanna tell you about a nice little fight I had last night.... very fun. 500 points.

My team:

Dr. Doom (E)
AIM Agent (V)
Hydra Medic (V)
Skrull Warrior (V)
Sentinel (300 pts.)

Opponent:

Superman (R)
Braniac 13 (R)
Parasite (U)
Catwoman (R)
Intergang Agent (V)
Steel (R)

Let's just say that the Mastermind power is totally excellent, let Doom get by without a scratch in this fight, and when you can Perplex a Sentinel up so it can do a two-piece multi-attack at 4 damage each, even Superman will be hurting before long. Doom and Sentinel make for a powerful alliance.

And um,i looked at the point values for the FF members

human torch rookie....40points
Invisible Girl rookie ..37 points
The Thing Rookie.....75 points
Mr.Fantastic Rookie....48 ponints

And that totals to an even 200 points folks :D

Cyclops
12-21-2002, 07:26 PM
They did that intentionally. I think it's 300 points experienced and 400 points Veteran.

But do you have Vision? Quasar? Super-Skrull? Nightmare? Symbiote Spider-Man? Tiny Wasp? 1980's Wolverine? Helmetless Juggernaut? Stealthy Elektra?

But true, even at Experienced, Dr. Doom is a force to be reckoned with. In that team I just told you, nobody could touch Doom, since he was always surrounded by the AIM Agent and the Skrull Warrior (and sometimes his use of the Skrull Team Power allowed him to avoid the attack altogether). Every hit he took went straight to AIM, and then Hydra healed AIM up back to peak. So I let my little cluster of evil get to work while Sentinel did his own thing. Not a single character on my side was KO'd in the battle.

Anywho...i traded my double of Rookie Scarlet witch for a veterian Hawkeye yesterday, and traded a double of Rookie Klaw for experienced Hwkeye, and i paid a 1.50 for a rookie Black Panther :) I also lost 1st round is a tournament *hits head* STUPID ME :(

Suit yerself. I'm sure you're familiar with Hypersonic Speed, right? Riiiiiiight... imagine that power at 11 speed, combined with an 11 Super Strength attack, 3 base damage, and a 16 Impervious defense (it's a mix of Invulnerability and SuperSenses) and the ability to ignore hindering terrain altogether, and you have arguably the most powerful piece in the game. And besides, as a Limited Edition piece, his value can only go up. Inquest's Berzerker Wolverine has already tripled in value...

No Iron Man figure has been released..... yet. I'm sure he will be released soon enough, though, so keep watching www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix to see what develops.

If you want Iron Man villains though, you can always hunt down all three versions of Blizzard and Whirlwind from "Infinity Challenge".

My Experienced Mr. Fantastic has the stats of the Rookie version (range being the exception). My brother got a few: his Veteran Riddler has Shapechange instead of Mastermind. His Braniac 13's flight base is backwards, so the figure has to face the back of the dial. I'm sending My Mr. Fantastic in to get replaced. Have you gotten any error figures?

NOOOOOO WHY AM I THE ONE WHO CAN'T PULL AVENGERS! :( i want both of them; Vision to join my Avengers,Ultron so i can have a heroclix batlle that happened in comics, wouldn't be fare though....

Anyway...did anyone else notace none of the preview figures have a rival base? or at least on we can see? I was thinking Hulk shuld be rival to The Leader...well ,i asked you ppl this before about 10 pages ago ( ) What rivals would you wanna see in the future?

Green Goblin-rival to Spidey and Hobgoblin,he hates them both,so it works

Maybe a U.S. agent or the "Captain " have a rivel with a Rookie-Veteran set for Red Skull

Iron Man have Rival to The Mandarian or Titanium Man

Namor be rival to Atuma

Well, they made both Ant-Man and Yellowjacket as Convention Exclusives, but they were poopoo, since they had no figurine on the dial at all! :(

I only need Rookie Quicksilver to have all three. Why is the Rookie so hard to find? I also need Rookie Spidey, and I'll have all four IC editions of him. I have every Skrull piece ever released (including the Super-Skrull), uhh... I only Rookie and Veteran Glaive Elektra to have all seven of her (ridiculous, no?), and plenty others.
