The difference I see is that the one on the left looks like he knows what to do with his blond. Looks like good "chemistry to me". Of course, I've always believed you'd have to be dead not to have great chemistry with Tom.

The two that they've put on the cover look like they might be brother and sister and look kind of silly to me. Just my opinion.

Here's an interesting article to sink some teeth into...

Wanted: TV's Perfect Face
by Tommi Lewis Tilden

Still think beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Think again. According to one expert, it's possible to figure out exactly what makes a "perfect" face. And you'll be surprised at how he rates some of today's hottest male and female TV stars.

After 27 years as a practicing oral and facial reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Stephen Marquardt used his professional experience, along with his studies in engineering, to build a patented mask that he believes defines the ideal face. It's based upon a mathematical construction that uses the ancient Greek ratio known as the Golden Mean, a proportion that for centuries has helped artists, architects and others create eye-pleasing forms.

Dr. Marquardt's initial interest in this field of study was inspired by his personal life, beginning at age 4 when his mother suffered a car accident. "She was disfigured," he says, "so I always thought about why, when someone's face changes, you perceive [that] the whole person changes." And then came his teen years: "In high school I was always interested in why I found some girls attractive and not others. All the guys in school were chasing the same three girls and they were the prettiest ones. I was fascinated with how the popular girls got everything, how others were drawn to them because of their beauty."

Later, as a medical doctor, he began his quest for a formula for attractiveness after he realized that not all facial reconstructive procedures actually improved a patient's overall look. "In fact," he says, "sometimes people would look better and sometimes not at all. When I'd do surgery, we'd put the chin where it was supposed to be but it wouldn't work aesthetically because, say, the nose was too small. You have to make everything match and work harmoniously."

So Dr. Marquardt spent years studying, sketching and working with computer programs to create the image and measurements of the perfect face. "I knew I had to find out what the perfect nose, chin, lips, cheeks and jaw were, so I started to reach out to makeup artists from movies and TV and sculptors, painters, and plastic surgeons from all over the world," he says. "I was astounded that nothing had been written of any significance since the thousands-of-years-old rudimentary measurements of the vertical thirds of the face - meaning from the hairline to where the nose starts, down to the tip of the upper lip to the bottom of the chin. All the specialists were focused on their one area and ignoring the whole."

Finally, in 1992, after a breakthrough with the lips portion ("I almost gave up at that point," he remembers), he was able to get his beauty mask patented. Now, Dr. Marquardt devotes his time to speaking to groups about his lifelong work and to private facial analysis and consultations.

So how do some of television's finest faces fare when Dr. Marquardt applies his theories? Here are his verdicts:

Teri Hatcher
Perfect: She has a very pretty face with a big beautiful smile and nice teeth.
Less Than Perfect: Her nose is shorter than ideal, which means she needs to accentuate her upper lip.

Evangeline Lilly
Perfect: She has a very pretty face, nice full lips, very nice eyebrows, good forehead and nose and beautiful cheekbones.
Less Than Perfect: Her eyes are a little close-set and her jaw is narrow.

Eva Longoria
Perfect: She has a very pretty face, beautiful smile, nice full lips and beautiful teeth and forehead.
Less Than Perfect: Her eyebrows peak too soon, particularly her left one. (The peak should be at the outside corner of her eye, the tail of the brow should not be lower than the inside top of the brow.)

Pamela Anderson
Perfect: She has pretty, deep-set eyes with nice, high cheekbones, a pretty chin and a feminine jawline.
Less Than Perfect: Her lips, although full, are a little large and her upper lip is quite a bit bigger than her lower lip.

Jennifer Garner
Perfect: She has a pretty nose, nice full lips and gorgeous cheeks.
Less Than Perfect: She has beautiful brows but they're too closely set; she should open up the distance between them.

Tyra Banks
Perfect: She has a beautiful nose with a delicate tip. Her beautiful, wide-set eyes and high, well-shaped eyebrows give her an exotic look.
Less Than Perfect: Her upper face is exotic but her lower face, with the delicate jawline, is more childlike.

Josh Holloway
Perfect: He has a nice forehead, masculine brows, good strong nose and a nice jawline with a strong chin.
Less Than Perfect: His eyes are slightly sunken.

Patrick Dempsey
Perfect: He has a good forehead, masculine jawline, great hairline and a nice, strong chin.
Less Than Perfect: His eyes are narrower than is ideal and his eyebrows are too wide at the top.

Taye Diggs
Perfect: He has a very masculine face. He has a nice strong chin and jawline, good eyes, good cheeks and a very strong look and profile.
Less Than Perfect: His forehead's a little high and his eyebrows are a little too full in the middle, which pulls away from this eyes a bit.

Tom Welling
Perfect: He's very nice looking, with good eyes, good brows and a nice nose.
Less Than Perfect: His chin and jawline are short, giving him a bit of a childlike, feminine look.

Hmmm. Okay, Well, I won't disagree - I can see it a little in some photos, but not all. I think make-up and camera angles play a pretty important role in one's perception of a celebrity's appearance. Fact of the matter is, most of us don't get the opportunity to see what these people look like IN PERSON. That said, I think this photo shows what Marquardt described regarding the shorter chin...

http://www.patcostello.com/temp/welling3.jpg

But I think Tom's huge eyes play a larger role in the young, childlike perception. Children and young animals have larger eyes proportionally than their adult counterparts.

In this photo, Tom's chin and jaw seems quite average, so that whole childlike image is lost here:

http://www.patcostello.com/temp/rogue2.jpg

It really depends on a lot of things, make-up and camera angles being the biggies:

I guess if it's not a Supes movie you're casting, what difference does it make really, but it's sorta broken the symmetry of the thing, IMO.

I agree. I guess Routh is okay, in general, if you like that look. However, some people in the Supes boards says he looks "huge" on the cover. Is it me or does he still look like he needs to hit the gym? I mean he has biceps - but he's certainly not huge, and I'm sorry, but he doesn't have the chest girth that he should have as Superman.

If you take the picture of Tom Welling with Maggie Grace and the one of Brandon Routh on the cover of EW, Welling's bicep is almost the same size as Brandon's unflexed! And if you take the picture of Welling's arm flexed (holding the baby), well . . um . . I think you get the picture.

Like I said, some people love Brandon, and that's all fine and good, he's just not my cup of tea - - or coffee - - or wine -- espresso . . latte . .

HAH!!! OMG, um... err.. okay, for lack of a better place to put this, there's a GREAT interview with John Glover here (http://www.windycitymediagroup.com/gay/lesbian/news/ARTICLE.php?AID=8666). But folks may want to read the *entire* interview, especially after reading the excerpts below.... *giggle*

Out in Smallville: Smallville’s John Glover
6/22/05
A man for all seasons: Glover offers inside look at his acting world
By BILL GREEN

...Glover wrapped up production on the fourth season of Smallville in April and it was quite a year for his alter ego, Lionel Luthor, who started out the season going to prison. Glover sacrificed his beautiful, long hair for an emotional introduction into prison life. So, one might assume, the emotion on Glover’s face is real when his head is being shaved in that episode?

“Nah. It was just acting,” Glover says. With a good actor you never can tell. “You never can tell,” he repeats.

“I offered it up. It had gotten so long in the three seasons that I’ve been doing the show. It was a pain in the ass and a bit restrictive so I asked the producers. I offered it up. I said, ‘If you’ll film it, I’ll shave it.’"

Another Lionel Luthor-heavy episode—one he spent two weeks in Vancouver shooting—is “Transference.” In the episode, Luthor switches bodies with Clark Kent. For the actor that meant taking on Tom Welling’s role for much of the episode. “Yeah that was fun. We had a good time with that,” he says, admitting to working closely with Welling to shore up the role.

“I was there on the set for all of his work. And he tried to be there for as much of mine as he could but because he’s got other episodes and things that he’s doing, it was difficult for him. He was so much busier. So he couldn’t be there for all of mine. But I was there for all of his.”

In one scene, where Welling is playing Luthor, he’s checking out his impressive new body and he looks inside his pants to check out the package. Was Glover responsible for that bit of direction?

He laughs.

Because that’s the first thing this writer would do if he found himself in Tom Welling’s body.

“Of course,” Glover offers up willingly. “I think it was in the script, though. I think it was. But Michael [ Rosenbaum ] and I, last year when I had a scene where I was having a massage and Michael came in, we worked out a father/son thing where I stood up and was sort of putting my bathrobe on where he looked down and checked out his dad’s package. That didn’t make it to the final cut.”

It appears he tries to insert himself into the characters a lot and make a lot of suggestions to the producers and writers. “I’m very pushy. Yeah,” Glover says. “The writers, I think they’re smart and they know we’ve been playing those parts now for … this is the fourth year ... we know the characters pretty well.”

WCT: Was it fun for you to play Clark, such a naïve and innocent character?

JG: It was. But what I found, because I play so many kind of neurotic, psychotic characters that the problem I had right at the beginning was I kept doing too much. … Tom plays that hero thing so well and so simply. And it was the simplicity thing I had the most trouble with.”

WCT: There is a question any gay man in his right frame of mind would want to know—as many of my brethren would attest: Do you, John Glover, secretly lust after Tom Welling?

JG: No ... but he’s a terrific guy.

WCT: But unfortunately married?

JG: Or fortunately...

HAHAHAHA!!! Brilliant!

I love this part.
In one scene, where Welling is playing Luthor, he’s checking out his impressive new body and he looks inside his pants to check out the package. Was Glover responsible for that bit of direction?

He laughs.

Because that’s the first thing this writer would do if he found himself in Tom Welling’s body.
LOL.. I like this writer.

What a great interview.. thanks for posting it, Pat.
You know, I never knew John Glover was gay. I guess I just never thought about it before. My friend who lives in N.Y. went and saw JG in his new play.. She said he was great. I'm trying to talk her into going back to meet him by the stage door to get a picture.

I never knew either. A while ago when I was at TWOP someone posted some links to the articles where he talks about his husband. I wish TWOP was up because I would link them now. I also remember that someone mentioned that John and Allison mention John's significant other on the DVD commentary (for Truth, I think it is). John Glover is an amazing actor. I always though he was hiding a crush on Allison and on Annette but he just adds so many layers to his character that he has this seductive aura that he has deliberately given to Lionel.

Discount `Gladiator': Sitting through cheap wannabe `Empire' could be a fight to the deathBy Mark A. Perigard/ Television Review
Sunday, June 26, 2005 - Updated: 10:31 AM EST

What if Wal-Mart decided to remake ``Gladiator''?

Given the largest retailer's penchant for cutting costs, it might look something like ABC's ``Empire,'' a miniseries being burned off beginning Tuesday at 9 p.m. on WCVB (Ch. 5).

Instead of Russell Crowe as the slave-turned-gladiator, ABC has actor Jonathan Cake, who resembles Crowe from an angle.

As Octavius, Julius Caesar's young heir to the throne, the producers seem to be going for a Tom Welling (``Smallville'') clone with Santiago Cabrera but instead have picked a young Jeremy Sisto (HBO's ``Six Feet Under'').

This may be a clever casting strategy - if you can't afford the real star, hire a look-alike.

Here's a nice excerpt from an old interview with Piper Perabo after CBTD1.

Tom Welling who stars as teenaged Clark Kent on TV's Smallville, plays Perabo's oldest brother.

"Tom is so gallant. He's like the old-fashioned movie stars. He was especially good with the twins who play the youngest children.

They were always hanging on him. They were almost like appendages." from:http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/LondonFreePress/Today/2003/12/26/296976.html

It doesn't really matter.. He's a fantastic actor...
Besides there is alot of gay people in the world especially hollywood... lol :D

Gotta get used to it sooner or later.. Heck there's alot of gay people working on, and in Superman Returns to.
So it's no biggie...

The sexuality doesn't matter...Only thing that does is if that actor is true to the role that he/she is playing.

Is it a compositional thing or do they unknowingly break the visual plane of the scene and have to fix it in post?

Hee!! Well that didn't take long. Yes, the scene was flipped. When something like that is done, it's most certainly not by accident. Most of the time it's necessary for proper composition; you don't want it to look like the characters are dancing around each other off camera. I wouldn't consider this example an egregious continuity glitch - at worst, poor blocking by the director - but it did glare out at me since I know Welling's face all too well. Pretty freakin' sad, eh? LOL

They do that on SV more often than even I thought, but most of the time they're lucky and the shots aren't blatantly obvious. If it weren't for that mole life would be so much easier for them - but if Tom ever has it removed I'll slap him via registered post, FYI. :D

This also brings up something. So many people I've spoken to think that, ignoring the mole, his face is pretty much symmetrical. It just. isn't. His jaw and mouth are very slightly lop-sided, and I'm fairly sure his left eye is a touch higher and possibly bigger than the right. Spend too long staring? Uh, nooo.....

Flipping/flopping is the number one cause of otherwise great pictures somehow looking "wrong" in a way that's difficult to put your finger on.

Avidreader, good luck trying to read *every* post in this or the other TW thread. No doubt, there's some VERY interesting stuff here, but ya best put on a huge pot of coffee before endeavoring that challenge. LOL

On an unrelated note, anybody here from France? How popular is SV there? Any clue? I just read an interesting article in Variety about the Live 8 concerts, which went out globally on more than 140 TV stations this past Saturday. In the States, it aired on VH1 and MTV, and on BBC1 in the U.K. Here's an excerpt from the article about the broadcast in France:

In France, 100,000 people attended the concert at Versailles, and 10 hours of the show plus highlights from London were aired on commercial terrestrial broadcaster M6. However, M6 cut away to three episodes of "Smallville" from 9 to 11:30 p.m. before rejoining the gigs.
Huh? Wha? Really? Color me shocked. No, really. Wonder what's up with that? Couldn't be a ratings thing, cause the article goes on to point out...

At 5 p.m., some 1.3 million viewers were watching, a 12.4% audience share compared with M6's average in that timeslot of 11.5%. At 8, audience was up to 1.9 million, 12.5% audience share compared with 9.5% on average. But by 11:30 M6's usual 14% audience share had slipped to 9.6%.
Odd.

Full article can be read here:

I would think that Smallville is extremely popular in France as they were recently awarded that Jules Verne Award for being the best TV show ever. And I have read a couple of posts from French posters over at Ksite who say that Smallville is a very high rating show over there. In fact I think they even said that it beat Lost.

Well, seeing as that DTS blatantly lifted copyrighted pics off Getty Images, painstakingly depixilated their logos, and then had the nerve to slap a HUGE DTS logo on the same image (man, talk about ballz!), I figured I'd be so kind as to provide a "CLEAN" depixilated shot.

I understand wanting to "protect" your own images - even I put a logo stamp on my own caps and scans - but at least mine are nice and tiny and blend in with the background. I think DTS is going a little overboard these days.

Yup, it's the ending of Leech. Good episode - entertaining - but the concept kinda bothered me. Clark's powers are a direct result of his biology and the effects of a yellow sun. Why would Eric Summers (FOTW character in Leech) be able to acquire Clark's abilities - at the expense of Clark - by just an electric charge and some K-rock? Meh. If there was some kind of magic involved, maybe...

I agree, that's why I feel that more than ever they have to get away from the fotw concept. As reality based series as it is, it IS based on a comic book character so just show there are other ppl in the world (hero and villains) with powers that didn't came from kryptonite.
That episode was entertaining though and I think it's the first episode of the series where we see a glimpse of the man of tomorrow.
When Eric asks Clark what he would do with his powers, Clark answers that he would use them to stop people like him.
Classic.

You know, I didn't think that Leech made all that much sense but I still loved it because it was such a great Clark episode...

There were some great scenes where he was finally able to just be a teen. I loved it. and then he was still brave and selfless even without his powers...

Great episode, logic lapses aside.

Another oddity: Everyone is saying how they'll hope Selma pushes The Fog in her appearance this friday the Tonight Show, but I think that would be extremely unlikely...

Maybe she'll mention it, but she's there to push her new film. She is the headlined guest, however, so she'll cross a commercial break... so maybe she'll time to talk about it and how hot Tom is in it! :D ;)

I'll watch it in any case, the only certain thing about her appearances on TV is that she'll be a lot of fun. I've seen her a time or two before and she's very unpredictable.

I guess hope does spring eternal, but chances of her doing more than mentioning The Fog are slim to none...

She's pushing her new film, which she has a small part in (she's fifth or sixth billed, I think), Pretty Persuasion. (http://www.prettypersuasionthemovie.com/) It opens on Friday, thus the appearance methinks...

Maybe Selma will be on the entertainment news mag shows tomorrow....

It's not a high profile film, to be sure, but she's usually a good one for providing good sound bites so you never know.

She may even say something about The Fog, I think unlikely (especially in a sound bite from another film's preem) but possible.

Tom has definitely progressed to an amazing talent throughout the last four years but looking back on some Season 1 episodes, he even had an amazing amount of talent then for someone who had really never done much acting before.

TPTB, who are obviously more aware of what to look for than the fans, obviously saw amazing potential in him, which he has definitely lived up to. Not many actors do two BIG films during their summer hiatus.

I agree with Sveta, Tom really didn't deserve to win.

The range of characters and emotions he had to play, and the success with which he pulled them off, were absolutely nothing compared to Michael's GREAT scenes where he ... wait, I'll think of something ...

http://www.discodelic.netfirms.com/ez-wink.gif

Much subtler than some of the comments, but funnier too. It's interesting how some people can't read the subtext from Tom's face and body language. Researchers have found that certain people are worse at reading facial expressions; teenagers are one group, as are people with non-verbal learning disabilities or Asperger's syndrome, or people with traumatic brain injury. Most misreading comes because people are listening to the words rather than reading the face. If Clark is talking blankity blank in one of his rear-guard cover-ups, and trying to look ignorant and innocent, you have to look harder to see the uncertainty, the guilt, the anxiety. The writers actually addressed this aspect of Clark in Blank, where he's frustrated with his inability to remember and Lois tells him in the loft that he usually hides all those emotions.

Craig's comment that Tom is a very good looking guy reminded me of a short interview with Alison Mack, I think shortly after Devoted, where the interviewer asked her if she enjoyed kissing Tom, and Alison answered in the affirmative, asking in some incredulity "Have you seen him?"

It's ironic, MR may have lost out on the acting award because this year he's had to portray the same kind of mixed messages that TW has to as Clark. Lex is much more duplicitous this year, and less willing to give anything anyway by his facial expression. You have to read more than one meaning into it. Of course with Lex you're supposed to be left guessing, whereas with Clark we're meant to know what he's really feeling (poor baby!) In Scare when Clark offers his blood for an antidote, we know from the Smallville Companion (or whatever that book was that I was too cheap to get) that a great deal of discussion and thought went into how Lex should react. It's only a few seconds, and he can't be obvious about it, but from the hesitation in his body and the arrested look on his face you can tell his mind is racing and his heart leaping. A great reaction, but not showy. That's the sort of acting that has been undervalued in Tom's previous three seasons.

mellyM
08-10-2005, 06:45 PM
I think people (including me) admired everything in Tom's performances this season, and what incredible range he showed. I could look at his face and understand what he was feeling and more importantly what he couldn;t express and wanted to, I could see his inner struggle, and thats something he seemed to finally grasp this season.
It wasn't just about the showy performances, but he completely embraced Clark this season...for me the moment in Commencement when he was speaking to his parents, for what, for all he knew could have been the last time, was a wonderful quiet piece of acting.

And saying Tom is good doesn't mean MR is bad. Tom fans are much more generous when it comes to Michael, unlike a lot of his fans toward Tom. I have no idea why that is.

SMG of Buffy? David Boreanaz of Buffy/Angel? They aren't the greatest thespians :o Tom is good looking, in decent shape, and while his face may not resemble the Superman of comics, remember the show isn't meant to be a faithful adaption of the comics. Yes I was serious. I think SV is a good tv show and I can admit Tom isn't a great actor but his looks are perfect for what they need. They aren't telling a story based on the comics, so him looking more like a model than Superman is not a problem. It's more of an elseworld's tale. I was talking about his face only. His physique is good, but looking at the comics his face doesn't match up. As I said that doesn't matter since they aren't trying to look like the standard Superman anyways. It's made for the wb on tv, of course he's meant to look more like a model.

I gather that the Nanny named Fran is your favourite show on TV.

:D

Oh, how'd you guess? :D

Can't stand Fran Drescher either, although in small doses she's okay... I find her quite engaging on talk shows, actually, but that voice just gets to me in a way that I can't even describe.

*shudders*

You dont seriously think that anyone in real life can look like a comic book character do you?

The thing is no one really looks like the traditional comic book supes...

Yes, Tom is super model gorgeous but why is that mutually exclusive to being supes?

Christopher Reeve was a hunk back in the day and I can remember thinking him dreamy way back when....

I had quite the crush on him and, if I remember correctly, my school girl crush on CR was actually the reason I started reading Superman comics in the first place.

What's with all these people referring to Welling as "Superman?!"
Don't they know he's not wearing the suit and lives in Smallville NOT Metropolis?!
Jeesh!!!!LMAO!!! It IS funny, init?

Quick story... on my last trip to NY, I stayed at the house of a good friend of mine. I've known him for years. He's a US citizen, but was born in Cicely, so he has a pretty thick accent. He's a beautician by trade, unmarried (put the pieces together folks ;) ), mid 50's... and LOVES Smallville. I just found that latter detail out. The SV one, that is. :p

Paul (my friend), knows very little about Superman, but he knows enough to recognize the character from the \S/ logo and the suit, neither of which have really been seen in the show. Yet in Paul's broken English, he STILL calls Clark "Superman." It's *really* funny to hear. And what's even funnier? I asked him what he liked best about the show - why does he watch it? His answer? Hee! "Lana." He loves Lana.

Okay, it gets better. Imagine this conversation with a 55 y.o. guy spoken in a thick Sicilian accent...

Since he's fairly ignorant of the mythos, I rained on his parade a bit and said, "You know Clark ends up with Lois, right?" Paul said, "Yeah, I figured that. Makes sense. The blonde, right?"

[scratches head]

"Um... well, yeah, she does have sort of blondish hair, I guess."

Now Paul is confused. Remember, he's a beautician, so he notices hair. We were watching an ep on ABC Family when we had this conversation. Paul said her hair isn't "sort of blondish," it IS blond.

Now I'm even more confused.

"Wait, which "blonde" are you talking about?"

"The only blonde on the show"

????

"you mean Chloe?"

"Yeah, that's her."

"Paul, Lois is a different character."

"Which one is Lois?"

????????????????????!!!!!

"Paul, do you watch the show at night, or only on ABC Family?

"I only watch it on this channel. It airs at another time?"

Problem solved. But now that I know he's only seen the show on ABC Family, him calling Clark "Superman" is even more funny. He hasn't even seen Clark (as Kal-El) FLY yet. LOL

***********************

Regarding the pictures, I'm not going to try to second guess the motives or intelligence of the person who posted them on her site, but the moment she did, they became public domain. Everybody from here to Timbuktu has now had the opportunity to save 'em, re-post 'em, and discuss 'em in open forums. The genie is out of the bottle, the bell has been rung, and Elvis has left the building. The damage is done folks. Let whomever is in the picture complain to the person who initially uploaded it. It's not our problem anymore, y'know?

And finally, I agree with Serene. That's one beefy man there, uhuh!

So does this mean, I don't have to edit my post.Honestly Avid, I think it just comes down to a personal judgment call. I believe the photos were initially "discovered" through some basic I-net search, probably Google Images or something along those lines. There's at least two HUGE forums discussing the photos now, and the pics are STILL up on that site, so maybe it's not as much a big deal as it's being made out to be? I dunno.

I think it was James who asked folks to consider how they would feel if their photo just appeared on the Net w/o permission, and if you think you'd have the slightest bit of trepidation to that, folks should consider taking the links down. So I see the logic there. That said, if it was a photo of ME standing next to... *gulp* Tom freakin' Welling, I would NOT be hiding it in a goddamn desk drawer. LMAO!! You better believe I'd have that sucker posted like everywhere for all to see. :p ;) :D

Again though, I don't see it as being "our" problem - if there ever was a "problem" to begin with. The pics are out there. Everybody has seen them and I'm sure many have saved 'em. You can't unring the bell, though you can stop your own from ringing tomorrow. There's a lot of bells out there though, and they're all still ringing. Judgment call.

I agree with you on that one, :) about posing with Tom that is.Hee! My knees are weak just at the thought. Seriously. Talk about a treasured photograph, eh? LOL!!

I'm sure whoever originally posted them would have been aware of the fact that once there on the Web they are there for all to see, so I don't see it as being a real problem.I believe the controversy stems from the fact that it wasn't the person in the photo who initially posted it - it was somebody else - a relative or something. Therein lies the "problem." Does the person in the photograph know their picture has been circulated to THOUSANDS of people during the last few days? Moreover, do they care? I see a lot of discussion about it, but nobody has mentioned e-mailing the person. I mean, hello? The e-mail addy is right there. If folks are concerned, why not just ask the site owner?

Meh. I'm not gonna personally sweat it. Both photos are really nice IMHO. I've seen FAR worse things in this world than to stress the morality of posting a photo of a few smiling people standing next to a celebrity on the I-net. Hell, if anything, I'm green with envy. ;)

Next year works for me...I talked with hubby about this tonight. Well, I left off the part about why the hotel was um... interesting LOL. He's going back there to work at the end of Sept. There's a LOT of celebs that live on the Island. A few that he rattled off that I remember are Michael J. Fox, Carly Simon, James Taylor and Kate Jackson. Hubby was responsible for cutting the power to Taylor's house, as well as the KENNEDY complex (LMFAO). It's a big Island, but it's "small" when it comes to celebs. Hubby says the hotel in question is right across from Chappaquiddick Island and there's even a few "Jaws" exhibits there. (Yes, that film still holds a special place in the hearts of Islanders.) Anyhoo, we CAN do this, but I'm thinking that any vacation plans on Martha's Vineyard will need to be made FAR in advance. It's a VERY popular vacation destination.

"There's so many cameos, you'll be doing constant double takes. You'll spot Tom Welling just weeks before landing the role of Clark Kent in 'Smallville'."

I knew about the cameo - I've seen the video caps (if he's on screen for more than two minutes it's probably a lot), but I had no idea this axed show was actually available on DVD.

Somebody mentioned that on their website when the DVD was released last tuesday. :p

(And Tom's on screen for about nine seconds. Seriously, NINE. SECONDS. But I'm just crazy enough that if I had a multi-regional player I might actually buy it.)

But I'm just crazy enough that if I had a multi-regional player I might actually buy it.)I've seen the beach caps; for a cameo that only lasts 9 seconds, they get down to business awfully fast (not that I blame her). Can you elaborate on his character a bit? Is there anything to elaborate on? LOL

Is there anything to elaborate on? LOLErrrr... you're thinking of the beach nookie from a show called Special Unit 2, and he is on that for about 2 minutes. He's just some unnamed college guy who wants to get some with his girlfriend, only she doesn't want to do it out in the open on a beach - because something bad might happen. And then a Merman breaks Tom's neck and kidnaps her. Nah, nothing bad happens... :D

This DVD set is Undeclared, and he's just some frat guy who gets asked if he wants to attend a party. He's in it for nine seconds. ;)

GAH! And I just ordered that silly set too. Kill me now. LMFAO!!! (I'd rather see the OTHER scene.)

Well at least the review was good. Sounds like a funny series.

It is funny, so you might not be too disappointed.

Certain people whose former websites ALSO had a lot of black and white are not one to talk. :pOnly the general text was white. Every page had color photos, and color page and paragraph headers. It was quite colorful.

And I was just bustin' on ya. I visit your site. I just don't go there daily. In all honestly, the only site I go to daily - like every time I sit down at the computer - is here. http://www.superherohype.com/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif

You mean you don't want Undeclared?

It is funny, so you might not be too disappointed.Never saw it once. But I'm glad you think it's good. Hopefully I'll enjoy the humor - as long as it's not too crass or silly.

And I was just bustin' on ya.Hee, I know that. ;) I am working on something far lighter and brighter, I just can't quite nail the right look. I like dark monotone for the most part, but I am a little bored with it now.

I really loved that show when it was on and very sad when it got canceled, I'd get the dvd set anyway (I've been waiting ages for it). Tom is in the pilot ep, and I remember watching it at the time..who knew I'd be obsessed with a guy I barely noticed soon after, lol.

I have Tom's clips from Undeclared and SU2. If anyone wants them, let me know and I'll post them.

Some people just like the smallville mythology alot, and think its a fresh approach, however one can enjoy both the new movie and smallville.

One that is smart enough too :)

James already posted this information 8/18 on TW.org (www.tomwelling.org) , but I scanned in the pics and thought I'd share them here.

To refresh memories.. these are from this month's InStyle magazine, it's their Heat Index poll that over 12,000 people voted in.

I just know that when Trip get's back, she's going to yell at me for the crappy scans. I'm not the expert scanner she is. ;)
