I did read a post somewhere that explained how to get around the IP thing on that site. Something about how that site uses both the IP address and uh.. something else to prevent ballot-stuffing. There was a way to get around it but it sounded way to complicated to me.If you ever come across it again, shoot it my way. I'm curious. Not that I would ever do such a fool thing.

Oh, and speaking of the price of tea in London, I *REALLY* miss James. He's been gone for like MONTHS. It's just not like him. You guys sure he's okay? :(

Msg from TiFaux webmaster:
Tonight at around 11:00 PM Eastern Standard Time we will be declaring the winners of the TiFaux Madness tournament, thus concluding a month of what most of us consider to be true, unbridled madness. There have been shocking twists and turns, questionable sportsmanship, a complete lack of commenting etiquette, and even a few fun victories for the underdogs. We laughed, we cried. Etc.
We have two very close races right now — at the time of this posting, Wentworth Miller is barely edging out Tom Welling, and Alyson Hannigan has a tiny lead over Kristen Bell. So get your votes in before 11:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.Aight, as of right NOW, our MOS plaid king is in the lead. LOL!! Lets hope it stays that way and those votes from SHP, which seem to really get going in the evening (EST), make a difference.
Amazing how caught up we can get in this silly poll, eh? LOL

How on earth did you come up with something like that? Do you think he even cares about stuff like this? From everything I've read about the guy, winning an on line "I'm Hot" competition would be the absolute last thing on his mind, in fact I'd say he would do everything humanly possible to avoid being declared the winner.

Tom Welling
(Smallville's Clark Kent)
Years with Wilhelmina: 1997-2000
Age he joined Wilhelmina: 20
Age in modeling photo: 23
Age now: Turns 30 on Thursday
Height: 6-foot-2
Big campaign: Gap
Patterson's take: "Tom had just come in from Detroit, and he always seemed to glow. He was very sweet-natured. He was definitely more boyish then. He is much more of a man now."
No one at his agency was surprised when WB cast him as a young Superman in 2001.

I just read this news over at DTTW.
Tom Listed As Possible Contender for Emmy Nomination
http://www.devotedfansnetwork.com/gallery/albums/files/1/3/4/trespassicon3.JPGThe Envelope (http://theenvelope.latimes.com/) has posted a list of actors and television shows that are being promoted as part of “official campaigns by studios and networks” for possible nominations for a 2007 Emmy Award. Tom Welling is on the list for "Lead Actor" for a "Drama Series”, but no specific episode has been listed yet. The site is affiliated with the Los Angeles Times, and provides information about award shows.
Of course, there is no guarantee that Tom will be officially nominated, but it’s nice to see there is a campaign underway to promote him for a nomination for an Emmy Award. Tom does a great job on Smallville as a young Clark Kent/Superman, and he definitely deserves this recognition!
Smallville is also listed under "Drama Series". To see the "2007 Emmy Awards Official Campaign Info" thread (updated as of May 10th), click HERE (http://goldderbyforums.latimes.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1106078764/m/53610293).
I'm not sure how far Tom or the Show will go, but its great to see them both get a mention for a campaign.

As much as I love Tom, I have to agree with this; until I remember his performance in "Reckoning". I guess that was last year and wouldn't be under consideration, but he showcased such a wide range of emotions so perfectly in that episode that by the time the end credits rolled, I couldn't stop the tears. He was simply incredible then. And this year in "Labrynth", he was awfully good too, and that episode perfectly depicted that man as an action/drama star with no special f/x crutches to hide behind since there were no superpowers used. Emmy worthy though? I'm not entirely sure what their requirements are for a nomination.
I wish him the best, however. To be under consideration at all, is quite the honor.

I believe the emmies are nominations for the previous TV season, so Labyrinth would probably be the episode I would think he'd be considered for.
The emmy noms are like the oscars, the voting members of each branch nominate for their catagory. So, it is truly a honor to be nominated since other actors would vote on who to nominate in the acting catagory.
Other actors would be the best people to judge the merit of his performance, not fans on web pages, so that is as it should be.
Personally, formerly being an actor myself, I think he did a simply outstanding job in Labyrinth but anyone who read my review already knows what I think about that episode.

Thanks.
I am ever a fan of his and that performance was probably his best.
Well I loved that one because we got to see so much of him, but I honestly think he's been great this entire season. He's had a few rough spots, but when you consider how he carries this show and how much screentime he has I think he's done a damn fine job and deserves some recognition.
The thing is.. a lot of award shows tend to overlook genre television. I think the difficulty level of what Tom does on a 6 day a week basis is SO much more physically and mentally demanding than your run of the mill TV show.
I doubt he'd win against actors from shows with much higher ratings and more publicity, but I'd be thrilled to pieces to see him just get a nomination.
PLUS, we'd get to see him in a tux again. \O/

LOL! He does look good in a suit, so there is that.
Yeah, Tom has a very slim chance of getting nominated (I might have to do some research on how the process goes to find out for sure what hurdles he has to jump) but if he does get a nomination, he would have even a slimmer chance of winning but I doubt anyone deserves it more.
I was thinking about this, after chatting with rumpuso about it, that I think if he does the nomination it would be because of the respect he has. I doubt Dawn Ostroff pushing him for a nom is a validation of him or the show, I think it's more likely a cynical marketing ploy on her part...
So I don't think that a nomination, if Tom gets it, would be solely because of one performance... It never is. I don't think Kelsey Grammner won all those awards for Frasier during the seasons that show stunk because he was the best, it was because he was the most loved.
The truth is, genre tv isn't loved. Most of the more staid academy voters won't want to vote for it, even if they watch the show, but might if Tom's respected for what he's brought to the show and the part.
He is, the Rosie and AM fans aside, probably the sole reason that the show is still on the air. If Jenson Ackles or Eric Johnson had been cast, do you think seriously that the show would still be on the air?
I don't.
Not at all.
Tom works long, hard hours and carries the weight of the show almost entirely on his shoulders. Yet, by most accounts I've read, he's still a nice guy. He's humble and works hard to hone his craft. He might get a nomination just for that...
They do that sort of thing all the time, so maybe he might have a chance despite the fact that genre TV gets little love by academy voters.
Hell, he might get a nomination for being one of the few reasons left for tuning to the CW...
;)

Actually, I found some useful info here:
http://www.emmys.org/awards/primetimeawards.php
And here is the screener agreement, including the pricing and it also gives you an idea of how sending out screeners works and what can be incldued:
http://www.emmys.org/downloads/pt59_fycscreener.pdf
That document tells the deadlines for nominations:
Nominating ballots will be available the week of June 4 and the deadline to return the ballots is June 22, 2007.
The emmy nomination annoucements are on July 19th.
Here is what it says about the performer screeners:
Are there restrictions on the number of programs or episodes sent in a mailing?
No. One or more than one program or episode, as aired in its entirety, may be sent – with the
exception of the performer rule below.
OPTIONAL RULE FOR PERFORMER ENTRANTS ONLY: If they wish to, performer entrants may
edit to their appearances only. This is not mandatory, but if this option is chosen, performers must
include all their appearances in sequential order from the entire program or from one episode for
series performers. (Clips from more than one episode may be included, but additional charges will
apply.)
FYI, for those of you who are curious like me...
It looks like I was right about the membership doing the nominating.

Allison Mack has been attending a comicon in London, and she's had a few lovely and quirky things to say about Tom. Thanks to Durq from Twop for finding this stuff.
I remembered something else Allison said! When she's typing on the computer in her scenes in the DP, she's typing her lines. When Tom is typing on the computer he just types his name over and over. TOMTOMTOMTOMTOM.
I'll have to watch with a keener eye, not that Clark's been doing much typing lately. :woot:
And then we had the panel for Allison Mack, who I think is the sweetest, most enjoyable actress ever. She was really interacting with the people in the panel, moreso than many actors, and she was just a hoot. She was making sure that everyone got to ask their questions and she was cute and sassy. She had some great dirt on Tom....One thing she said was that while Tom is running around to film the super-speed scenes, he makes his own sound effects for fun. Like "WOOOOSH!" and "Shhhhhhhzzzzpppp!" OMG TOM.
LOL, I wonder if he practices in a cape at home.
I'm not sure if this was from the comicon, however the main point is that its about Tom
About AM:
She's closest to Kristin but loves every cast member, especially Tom
-Because she has a music background, she tends to make her long pieces of dialogue into a rhythm. She didn't realise this until Tom Welling pointed out that she was messing up her lines because she didn't have her rhythm on it
And from the same poster;
Megan has spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital, which has been very difficult for her. Watching Smallville her favorite TV show, however, has provided a much-needed escape from the reality of chemotherapy. So, after telling her wish grantors her most special wish, Megan was ecstatic to find out that she and her entire family would get to visit the set of Smallville in Vancouver.
Megan took flowers for the cast and crew, who were very touched by her warmth and kindness. Tom Welling, the show's star, showed his appreciation by giving her a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek! Tom was directing a few scenes that day and placed his flowers in one of the shots. Megan was overjoyed when Tom told her to keep an eye out for her flowers in an upcoming episode. While on the set Megan met most of the cast and received autographs from all her favorite stars.
What a sweetie. I must rewatch Fragile, I assume that's the episode they're talking about, and look out for the flowers. :yay:
And this from Tabbymarie.
And Tom DOES make noises. Its really entertaining actually. "SHHHHHHHHHEEWWWWWWWWWWWW" was the noice of choice as he raced down the stairs to catch Chloe's fall. He actually tripped once. It was rather humerous and he got up, laughed, and just reset the scene. It was fun.
He must trip over those big feet of his all the time. :woot:

The CW Upfronts: That's All, Folks
Dawn's wrapping up now. We're still kind of reeling from these announcements -- reaction and "what does this all mean" post to follow. What do you guys think?
Ooh... this summer there'll be a new theme song for The CW. "Get Into It," by Nicole Scherzinger (PCD lead singer, who's conveniently going solo). She's performing it now...
Okay, Nicole looks eerily like Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. Yes, the cartoon. Seriously -- must get a pic so you guys can see...
Now everyone's dancing together (awkwardly) on the stage. OMG! Tom Welling! Why didn't they parade out the Supernatural and Smallville stars? grrr...

Not sure if this has been posted (also not sure why I've been posting so much lately) but it was posted on LJ in the tomwelling community, someone was kind enough to transcribe part of Phillip Morris's podcast

From the KryptonFan Podcast interview (http://www.pluggd.com/episode/show/krypton_fan_episode_77_martian_manhunter_phil_morr is) (link goes to streaming podcast and link to download an mp3) of Phil Morris (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0606862/), as transcribed by me:
17:50
Chuck: So what were your first impressions upon meeting and working with Tom Welling?
17:53
Phil Morris: Well, you're always a little...I don't know, not anxious, but, ...curious, I guess is the word about how the lead of any show is gonna' behave and operate, and like I said, I've done this quite a bit, and it runs the gamut.
Tom Welling could not be more gracious, more welcoming, more supportive. Now they've been doing this for - this is their sixth season.
Chuck: Yeah.
PM: This ain't like Season Two.
Chuck: [Laughs]
PM: They're worried about being picked up, and 'I'm tired of being in Vancouver.' He's not from there, so it's like I've worked with a lot of actors when I've gone to Vancouver who are burned out about being in Vancouver. It's got nothing to do with being in Canada, they're just not from there. Tom, exhibited none of the signs, I'm happy to say.
He was as willing to discuss the character with me and our involvement and our relationship, his involvement, what he'd been going through up there, how he got the job. I mean I don't know anything about Tom Welling, really.
Chuck: Yeah.
PM: So, I really gained a great respect for him, and I consider him a friend of mine. I hope he considers me a friend of his. We rely on each other in those scenes and it's a great working relationship.
It always starts from the top down, and it's usually the the star of the show that sets the tone. Tom is a fun guy. He's funny. He's serious about his business when he needs to be. He's casual. He doesn't take it too seriously. He realizes we're not fighting a war over here; we're just making movies. I appreciate him a lot, I'll be honest with you. I want everybody to know the guy is straight and cool as I've ever worked with.
Chuck: That's great. Great to hear.
19:45
I thought this whole interview was interesting, but I had to share the TWO minutes he goes on about Tom. You really have to hear the tone PM uses when talking about him. He gushes. TW sounds like he's just an awesome guy to know, not just to work with.
I edited this to take out all the 'um's, 'uh's, 'and's beginning sentences, and 'you know's. I think I caught everything. :D

It looks like I was right about the membership doing the nominating.
Well, it looks like I was only half right:
Emmy's 50/50 Split -- Is it fair?
TV academy may be dancing around a bigger voting problem.
By Tom O'Neil, The Envelope
March 22, 2007
It looks like the Primetime Emmys are dancing with the stars considering the fancy footwork they're displaying with new voting changes being cheered by some observers and denounced as "inane" and "ridiculous" by others.
This year the nominees for best series and acting will be determined by a formula used by the "Dancing with the Stars" TV show: Contenders will be selected based upon a 50/50 mix of judges' scores and popular vote (of TV academy members, that is, not general public).
That's a significant difference from last year when judging panels chose the five nominees in each race after screening sample episodes of series landing in the top 15 after a popular vote, and top 10 among actors. The controversial new change hikes the chances of popular shows over less-known sleepers.
"I think they wanted to give the popular vote more weight so the award show would be more interesting to TV viewers," says Lisa Kudrow, who won an Emmy for "Friends" in 2000 and was nominated for "The Comeback" last year.
"Over the years, as viewership of network television has splintered, the ratings for all shows have dropped ridiculously low. The ratings for the Emmy Awards broadcast have also dropped every year. If that rare hit show or its cast isn't nominated for an award and won't be at the Emmys, then why should anyone watch?"
Additional changes include contenders submitting essays up to 250 words to give judges explanatory context for the sample episodes they weigh. Another change insists that actors must appear in at least 5 percent of TV films and miniseries so that the TV academy can sidestep the hubbub that erupted last year when Ellen Burstyn was nominated for best supporting actress for her 14-second turn as "Ex-Lover #3" in HBO's "Mrs. Harris."
"I think the changes we made really weren't major, but designed to create a more even playing field allowing popular programs as well as less visible but deserving programs to both have a good shot at the prize," says awards guru Pete Hammond, who's a member of the academy's Board of Governors.
"If ever there was a more embarrassing situation for the TV Academy than seeing Burstyn nominated for a 14-second role, I can't think of it. It just said to the world we run a popularity contest where name recognition rules over merit which (except in that sad case) really isn't true."
But that, perhaps, would not be the view of the father of bizarre TV, "Twilight Zone's" Rod Serling, who served as TV academy president during the 1960s. He was so distraught over how high-rated popular TV programs consistently beat low-profile rivals for nominations and wins that he radically overhauled the process of choosing winners. He introduced judging panels, which evaluated sample episodes submitted by nominees that were determined by a popular vote.
Suddenly, low-rated sleepers like "Cheers," "Hill Street Blues" and "All in the Family" ended up winning Emmys that probably saved them from early network cancellation.
However, only about 1,500 academy members -- and mostly older ones at that, including many retirees -- volunteered to sit on panels conducted in hotel rooms over a weekend to evaluate sample episodes. When at-home voting replaced the panels in 2000, low-rated fare continued to prevail while tripling the number of voters, so the change was considered a success.
Since then, the last big challenge of Emmy voting seemed to be: How to employ the same process of careful scrutiny to choosing nominees?
Last year the academy brought back Serling's panels to screen a sample episode submitted by every TV series that landed in the top 15 of the popular vote and stars landing in the top 10.
Scandal erupted when there was a sudden outbreak of "the Susan Lucci Disease" -- contenders submitting sample episodes pooh-poohed by some judges as poor choices. As a result, "Lost," which had won best drama series the previous year, failed to be nominated again and "Desperate Housewives" didn't make the cut for best comedy series.
Most TV journalists blamed the TV academy instead of the poor judgment of Emmy participants. Panicking, academy leaders have now overhauled the rules to diminish the clout of the panels by 50 percent in order to make sure that the most popular shows will be included among the five nominees for best comedy and drama series, plus all acting races.
The change marks the first move back toward the popular vote in four decades. Is it smart?
Two network executives refuse to dance around their condemnation of using the "Dancing with the Stars" model to determine Emmy nominees. However, they'll only speak up anonymously, since they're actively involved in their networks' Emmy activities.
"Everything that's wrong with Emmy voting can be traced to relying on the popular vote," says one exec. "And I mean everything, including Ellen Burstyn's nomination. The fact that the academy is increasing its importance instead of eliminating it entirely is insane."
The exec also insists that it's "ridiculous" for voters to choose nominees based upon just one sample episode of a series. He says they should use at least six, which is how many are currently distributed randomly to at-home voters deciding the winners of best comedy or drama series.
Previous to that point, to whittle down nominees from the finalist list, only one episode is seen by judging panels, which tend to be comprised of older academy members less active in the TV industry.
"The academy should pick nominees from the lists of finalists the same way they do winners," he says. "More episodes should be viewed by more academy members, who can see them at home at their convenience. That's much better than using judging panels to view one episode."
The other TV exec agrees: "The blue-ribbon panels seem a bit inane. And to have them screen just one episode is even crazier. There are many great series that take several episodes before they hit their stride. This slants it towards shows that are entirely encapsulated in a single hour and punishes serialized programs."
Being serialized doesn't hurt all TV series. "24" beat the odds last year to win best drama series and lead actor (Kiefer Sutherland). But serialization was probably the reason "Lost" got truly lost in the Emmy process last year.
Producers submitted the season opener, which was packed with bizarre, dangling plot lines that confused judges who weren't regular viewers of the series. Had producers chosen more shrewdly -- picking, say, the more self-contained "Tailies" episode, which TV Guide called its best of the year -- many Emmywatchers believe "Lost" would've been nominated for best drama series.
The snub of "Desperate Housewives" wasn't blamed on the show being serialized.
One judge claimed that episode entry simply wasn't good enough, creatively speaking, and it wasn't funny.
"Why was this submitted in the COMEDY category?" he cried.
Hoping to address the possible disadvantage faced by serialized shows, the TV academy is now asking contenders to give voters introductory essays.
"The problem I have with the essay idea is that, in theory, if you must explain what it is that your episode is about because it isn't readily apparent from watching it, what does that say for the show's effectiveness with the viewing audience?" asks Richmond of the Hollywood Reporter. "To my mind, it's akin to, 'If you have to explain the joke's punchline, it isn't much of a joke.'
"In one sense, I applaud the idea as useful and industrious," he adds. "But at the same time, it feels a little bit like a contrivance. It would seem to me that the academy would better serve the nominations process thusly: alter the measurement standard by mandating a three-episode arc (particularly for top drama series contenders) rather than just one. If a judge can't understand what's going on after watching three installments, your show doesn't deserve consideration."
Lisa Kudrow agrees on the source of the Emmy problem: "It actually sounds like the changes need to be made within the panel screenings. Vote after seeing ALL the entries for starters."
But TV academy governor Hammond believes that the Emmy is on the right track to solving its problems. Academy leaders, he insists, are "staying true to our mission of awarding only the best in this ever-changing multi-channel universe. It's an ongoing process and I think you will see it evolving each year, but right now, for my money, we are heading in the right direction."

That's it. There were a few posts over at BTs talking about Ageless and Justice (two episodes DeKnight wrote and directed) so I geeked out and wanted to post some screen caps. Initially, I was just going for the biceps shot (LOL!) in the beginning of the ep, but got carried away and ended up watching the whole episode.
The ending is touching.
I know it's not a popular ep, but I didn't hate Ageless. I loved seeing Clark and Lana interacting with the baby/toddler/kid. I did hate when they blew the kid up though.
Anyhoo... here's some more screen shots from Ageless.

Well, I'm not sure where to post this, but I saw a post over on LJ where the total appearance times for the whole season were added up. Tom came out way in front, even of Michael and Kristin.
Maybe it seemed like he wasn't around as much this season, but I think this data shows he is probably one of the hardest working actors out there:
Phantom, running time 41:53 (1m 31s of this was "previously on...")
Clark - 16m, 18s
Lex - 10m, 16s
Lana - 7m, 50s
Chloe - 5m, 26s
Lois - 6m, 38s
Season total:
Clark - 377m, 12s (22 eps)
Episode High: Labyrinth, 37m, 35s
Episode Low: Static, 7m, 33s
Lana - 237m, 46s (21 eps)
Episode High: Trespass, 26m, 16s
Episode Low: Reunion, 4m, 52s
Lex - 221m, 47s (22 eps)
Episode High: Reunion, 21m, 51s*
Episode Low: Labyrinth, 3m, 21s
(*Includes screentime where Lex was played by a different actor)
Chloe - 220m, 19s (22 eps)
Episode High: Progeny, 23m, 11s
Episode Low: Reunion, 3m, 30s
Lois - 120m, 18s (13 eps)
Episode High: Crimson, 18m, 1s
Episode Low: Zod, 4m, 37s
Oliver - 84m, 39s (7 eps)
Episode High: Reunion, 18m, 48s*
Episode Low: Hydro, 2m, 46s
(*Includes screentime where Oliver was played by a different actor)
Longest episode : Zod, 42m, 4s
Shortest episode : Labyrinth, 39m even
Going by average screen time per episodes appeared in, Tom still comes out on top.
Clark - 17.13 per ep
Oliver - 12 even
Lana - 11.28
Lex - 10.04
Chloe - 10 even
Lois - 9.23
He's five minutes ahead of the next person, although that next person (Oliver) was only a recurring character but the rest of the main cast were within a few minutes of each other....

I'm not surprised that Tom had the most screentime, but it is nice to see that proven.
Allison was only behind Michael by 1 minute? That surprises me.
Lois really had a strong showing considering she's only in 13 (a fraction over half) the episodes. If you extrapolate that into a full season's worth of episodes, she would have had the second highest amount of screentime. I guess that's really guesstimating though.

I think that if they hadn't shoe horned her into a few episodes (seemingly only to meet her 13 ep contract) she probably would have had more average screen time per episode. She was unconscious for most of the time she was in Zod, for example...
And she was barely in a few others, I can't think of examples right off but there were some recent ones so even one less might have helped her average.

Well, even dreadful episodes are usually saved somewhat by Tom's presence and/or Clark's storyline, but Static was so dreadful and, the save at the end so Deus Ex Jimmy combined with so little Clark there was little hope it would be a good episode.
Most of the the Clark there was in Static was excellent, except for the fact that the zoner so easily bested Clark and might have killed him (that was only counter balanced by the first appearance of MM even though we didn't see enough of him), but not even that could save the episode for me.
It was the lowest rated episode for me all season.

The first cap is A-dorable! I love Tom and Kristin’s expressions. So cute!
And the second cap…*thud* So beautiful, Pat. And working really well as your new avy, Rene.
Those screentimes were kinda interesting. Put the season into another kind of perspective.
I really did love this season, especially for Tom, who I think did an excellent job in all his episodes, no matter what the screentime.
What were everyone’s fave Tom episodes for season 6, acting-wise?
Mine are 'Zod, 'Sneeze', 'Hydro', 'Labyrinth', 'Crimson', 'Promise', 'Combat', and 'Nemesis.' It’s really difficult singling out any one episode for his acting, because (I think) he’s so good in all! But these are my exceptional faves for him, speaking of his acting, some for the lightness of it, some for the intensity, some for the emotion. But he was great in them all!

Did you enlarge that or do you just have really good HD capturing software?I use PowerDVD. I think Zing recommended it. It works well.
The largest size the software can do native is 720x480. If I want them larger, I have to do it manually, which I can do, but the resolution doesn't improve.
That big cap of Clark and Lana is a composite of multiple caps - like a panoramic, which is why it's larger than the others. :D
I know it's not a popular ep, but I didn't hate Ageless. I loved seeing Clark and Lana interacting with the baby/toddler/kid. I did hate when they blew the kid up though.I wasn't upset with the kid dying, but they didn't do anything with it. It just seemed rather pointless. I expected a kind of energy transfer, or something along those lines. They needed to do something more with his death. Oh well.

It just irritates me, that's all. I've been "around" for quite a while; most folks *know* my sig stamp by now. And even if they don't, it aint that hard to figure out the Kryptonian says "Agent Pat." I've never had a problem with people using my art for avatars, banners, or even reposting. NEVER. It IS nice to be asked of course, but even then it's not that big of a deal, as long as they don't steal bandwidth.
What *really* frosts my cookies though is when people take MY stamp off an artwork *I* made and then replace it with their own. WTF? That's just not cool.

Can you vote more than once?
Yeah, I think so...
It lets you do that and if you do it too much it gives you an error, but you can go back and do it again.
I don't know for sure if it counts each one as individual votes but it looks like it....
It doesn't show you the vote tally so you don't know how many votes have been cast to check to see if your extra ones counted.

Hey, there was an article on a girl who is a stunt kid.
http://www.richmondreview.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=45&cat=23&id=1002425&more=0
In the scene she was in on Smallville, she got rescued by Tom but the way she described the scene, I don't recognize it.
In the locally-shot TV series Smallville, about a teenage Superman before he donned red-and-blue tights, she appeared in a flashback scene where Clark Kent swoops in and saves her from a ring of flames.
<snip>
Her first taste of stunt work was in the show Smallville about four years ago. There, she got to meet the handsome Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent and is as nice in person as he is on screen, she said.
“I was supposed to be a little kid with my teddy bear outside the window and I was supposed to be in a house that was on fire. Basically, the fire was surrounding me and that was my first gig,” she said.
What episode did this happen in?

No.. sorry. I posted in the wrong thread. D'oh!
I meant it for the Talon thread. I bet we'll get either MR or ED at this con, they seem to do the most appearances. I'd be fine with just about anyone from the show though.
Of course... a Tom appearance would be the stuff of dreams. I know it's a long shot, but if he made any con appearance, I bet it would be ComicCon - the one I can't go to. Being that it's possibly the last season, maybe he make a few more appearances. Maybe.

Doesn't look very happy does he? Gotta love the look he gives to the camera guy in the 2nd pic lol.
He looks pissed off :woot:
He also looks like hes just awake or been asleep...
I'd be pissed off as well if I saw some plonker snapping pictures off me in middle of the street

Hes pissed because hes 30 years old, and still starring in a Teen sciencefiction/fantasy drama show on the CW.

Yup, I'd sure be kicking myself if I had the lead role in a fairly popular and long running TV Show which is shown worldwide, was 6"3/6"4, well built, good looking, happily married, lusted after by countless female fans, liked by male fans, known as being a 'nice guy' and to top it off, probably got a few hundred thousand $$$ (if not more) in the bank. Life must suck.
What do you do for a living again?

Tom Welling needs to play a more serious role IMO. I think he would be perfect in something like ER or CSI. I think those are the type of roles Welling should be looking into once SV is over. He really needs to move away from these teen movies and programs and needs to move more into the adult drama. Now I would have loved for Welling to play on The Shield he would have been perfect as Detecrive Hiatt (Those who watch the show know who he is) but since it is the last season for that show that ship has sailed.
