That's why he always had so much pancake on as Clark during the first couple of seasons, they were fighting to hide it! They don't do that so much anymore, and I can't say I blame them.

It struck me as being completely different to every other picture of him too, and I think it's because I've never seen him looking quite that "preppy." His hair, even as Clark, is pretty windswept, and when he does nothing more than run some styling product through it (prems and such) it could be accurately described as a fuzzball. :p This is just SO coiffured, and I can't see him doing that to himself ... the only time it's come close to that in recent memory (that I can remember) is for the SV season 1 promo pics.

Plus I don't think I EVER seen him quite that tanned, and it makes his eyes stand out like whoa!

I dont know why, but his face always looks thinner at the beginning of the Smallville seasons too and I think that that is what is different about that recent picture.

One was nearly 180 years old, the other was nearly 200 so they were really old farmhouses.

I was wondering about that too. No new photoshoots so far this season.. maybe in the next couple of days? I'm also starting to wonder when and if any of the cast will be making talk show appearances. I checked the site for Regis & Kelly (I loathe that show, but would watch it for Tom).. and this Thursday they have Matt LeBlanc on for Joey. Bleh! I knew I hated that show.
I'd love to see Tom to Leno or Letterman to promo SV and The Fog. My ultimate would be to see him on Ellen though. She's hysterical.

Y'know, it's the one thing that Welling has always had: HUGE arms. I have this pic from his modeling days - the open shirt one where he's wearing that orange jacket (everybody has seen it - it's nuthing new). He looks like he was *MAYBE* eighteen in the photo. I think you'd be surprised how much star power they have. I seem to recall the results of a certain survey that was going around last year regarding the casting of a particular role.

I'm just hoping The Fog is successful for what it's meant to be -- an enjoyable horror flick just before Halloween. I don't expect it to break the bank or be this box office blockbuster, but if it can make back it's cash fairly quickly, then I think it will be successful.
