Remember Joe (Jor-El) and Louise.. they didn't seem to have any problems. And Clark has Jor-El's memory of the event, so if there are any special Kryptonian sex secrets for doing humans, Clark should know about them. :)

It was yet another turning point in the Clark/Lana relationship. Clark wasn't human anymore; he was bigger than life. He pulled Lana up to his "level" as her feet were left dangling. Literally and metaphorically, he swept her off her feet...

Oh, and PS, if there's ONE thing that does me in 100% of the time, it's those salacious lips. Gosh! It's no wonder Bonnie Hunt couldn't get the idea of kissing him out of her mind, poor gal. And while Blair never got overly specific, I'm guessing her frustration with what she considered a poor performance opposite Tom was due in no small part to a loss of concentration brought on by more carnal thoughts. The height thing has never bothered me. Maybe because my husband is just over a foot taller than me (he's TW's height.. meaning 6'3" on paper but more like 6'4"). I know KK is several inches taller than I am plus she wears heels most of the time - so I guess the height difference doesn't really stand out to me.

Granted, I'd watch that man and those lips kiss a brick wall, but I do think his kisses are rendered even more salacious when he's kissing "Lana" who's not exactly a sloucher in the "great lips" department herself.

I think most people don't realize how much thought goes into the visual storytelling in Smallville. They do this stuff all the time, if you're on top of things enough to catch it, like you are. ;) :D

I would like to ask a favor, do you have the moment capped right after this one? Where their foreheads are together and they're smiling at each other?

I would love to see a good cap of that and I haven't found one. My capping capabilities tend to give me slightly fuzzy images and I'm all about image quality.

You know I thought that scene was awesome and thought they were making no secret about his "above average" strength, but I was told it wasn't a big deal considering she's rather small compared to him. Still, that image was a pretty powerful one, imo.

If all the actor's heads are at one level, and somebody else is way up there - or way down there - you can't get everybody in the frame at the same time, and you KNOW how much the SV DPs LOVE to tight frame everybody. How did Mack describe it? "Slamma-jamma close-up?" So that's why they put Welling in flip flops or stocking feet in group shots.

I was chatting with Hulk about this the other night. Notice how Gabriel was in white, and the instrument of his destruction had a big star on it. Clark is seen in white in the beginning of the episode (after he puts his shirt on LOL), and there's stars all over his room...

Between the visuals and the dialog - Gabriel's insistence to Chloe that nobody wants to live like that [meteor freaks], that this was his only chance to be a hero, and that in an hour it would all be over - drives the point home that the writers were making both subliminal and overt comparisons to Clark. SV doesn't give us evil characters. It gives us characters who may do evil things, but do so because they feel it's the right thing to do. Luckily, Clark's instincts about right and wrong are not morally reprehensible LOL.

You know I thought that scene was awesome and thought they were making no secret about his "above average" strength, but I was told it wasn't a big deal considering she's rather small compared to him. Still, that image was a pretty powerful one, imo.Yeah, I agree. I don't think they were trying to show his strength per se - hell, *I* could pick her up with one arm - but I think the visual of her feet hanging and his bigger-than-life presence holding her had a more subliminal message. He had just walked out of the light into a dark hallway. She ran to him and they embraced. In any other episode or show, it might have just been a cutesy moment, perhaps even humorous. But in the context of this episode, with all the religious metaphors and symbolism and the fact that Clark was no longer human, the scene took on a much more ethereal nature. Clark was back to having the weight of the world on his shoulders, not to mention protecting the people he loves held in his arms.

Thanks for that Pat:) I kind of miss the technical reviews of the episode on Ksite (and this is in no way a slight to Triplet--I love your reviews) where they would go into the shots and the visual metaphors that are easy to miss when you're so engrossed in the story and the characters, but I'm sure you get the overall feeling they intended to invoke without even realizing it. It'd be cool to have techinical reviews as well as story content reviews of the eps. Smallville is such a visual show, which is the reason I was attracted to it in the first place, they just have their own beautiful unique style, and it hasnt been compromised in 4+ seasons

The organizer said this about the jeans: These are regular Diesel jeans as far as the brand goes, but they are certainly not regular when you consider that they are the actual jeans Tom's worn on the show. They were deliveres directly from the set with the wardobe markings still in them!

hey I have a 35 inch waste and I'm not fat... :mad: It all depends on how tall you are and what kind of frame you have, I'm almost 6'1" and pretty well built (not as good as I was when I was 25 mind you but still good ;) )

At 6'4" Tom's in even better shape for that and has a bigger frame than I do..... If your inseam is bigger than your waste size, it usually means your a pole LOL :D

Making an issue out of jealousy and spurned love isn't a characterization they should take Clark on his road to being Superman. JMHO.
