But what gets me is, where the hell did the costumes COME from? In the movie, they have to rush to rescue the city, because Freeze is in danger of... freezing it over. Yet somehow, despite rushing from Ivy's hideout to the giant observatory, they have time to change clothes to stylishly absurd new costumes? They even get special new ICE VEHICLES, because I guess they know that by the time they get there, the city will be frozen over due to how slow they are. Maybe that wouldnt' have happened if they didn't STOP TO CHANGE OUTFITS.

Yes, in terms of drawing and all this stuff, those are actually pretty good. :up:

Sometimes I take this thread "worst pictures of Batman" as the "funniest or craziest moments of Batman" as well. :oldrazz:

And a trial composed by the Joker as the judge, all the juries and even the policeman...

That little midgi-clown strangling and it hides the eyes of Batman...

Joker telling Batman and Robin that he is giving to them the "Honor of being the first men killed on the moon" where you can clearly see they are in Gotham, if they were actually on the moon, would be even more nonsense...

And when Batman is fooled by The Joker in three seconds, I found really funny the facial expression of Batman after getting easily powned by the Joker, again.

I think those are actually some of the funniest and somewhat nonsensical moments of Batman mythos.

They were fine stories for those days, any body back then over twelve years old caught reading comics were considered odd (gay, if you will) as they were strictly for kids. It really bugs me seeing people making fun of the books I loved as a kid without taking that into consideration. I bet 99% of those making jokes never even read any of the stories they're ridiculing. Seems all they can do is make a bunch of lame gay jokes.

Actually, pictures like those didn't appear in the comics until after Wertham's attack on comics. It's when the comics were forced to become "family safe" that they started to show more....questionable pictures such as these.

I was lucky enough to read "The Joker's Five-way Revenge" when I was exactly ten-year old (1984).
And Batman was being brought to his darker roots at that time.
But I loved Batman before this, and it was basically that kind of campy funny feel of that era. I still love that sixties' show and all that comics that inspired that depiction.

And this is why now I want to see something different, we are living in a darker era right now, in certain aspects.
But even also loving Batman Begins as well, I thought that this comic strip (above) was funny enough to be here in this thread.
