Who do you think would play the best demon mother? Any ideas for Bladkout or perhaps Skinner? My personal favorites of the Lilin, btw.

Christina Ricci

Nice choice. I don't think she has the age though. The demon mother has to be wise.

Charlize Theron.
Five years older than Christina Ricci (b.1975), more physically commanding and plays evil well/can act.

Perhaps. I'd like to see somebody older still. Sombody more witchy... though I know Lilith isn't a witch. Somebody both wise and beautiful, ya know?
I'll reserve further judgement on theron until I see Aeon Flux though...

My idea for Blackout would be the guy who played Margos on the shield.

I've never watched the Shield, but I will research him later...
Perhaps you could use any of the male Elves from LOTR. Their hair-dos would match anyway... ha.

The long locks would work nicely.... Why am I so caught up on the hair? Geesh.
Any ideas who'd you cast as Skinner... who happens to be my favorite of the Lilin lot, btw. Here's his profile

A quick idea on lilith herself....you said someone older....how about meryl streep?
Now ive read the bio on skinner and i can se why he's your fave.I'm guessing(correct me if i'm wrong) that the role wouldn't require a great actor like spacey or cruise or pacino to work so here's my picks based on look.
choice one would be john malkovich
http://img116.exs.cx/img116/33/4f-john_malkovich.jpg
second choice jason statham(he'd be good at the stunt scene's)
http://img30.exs.cx/img30/5286/84-transporter.jpg
My final choice would be something i wouldnt advise but based on agression and look how about goldberg
http://img71.exs.cx/img71/106/89-bill16l.gif
these were the 3 i could think of for now but after reading the bio i would love to see skinner in a sequel but do you reckon they would water him down to fit the pg-13 certificate ?
FlameHead
12-04-2004, 01:34 AM
Goldberg is perfect for the look of the character though I doubt he'd be able to show the sensitive side of Skinner. John Malkavich is a pefect choice... if he were up for the action and makeup he'd have to undertake.
The PG-13 thing is somthing I'm not even going to think about anymore... not until I see the first one anyway.

Have you got anymore pics of skinner Flame?
What would you say was the best story containing him?
how much of a physical threat is he to GR ?
sorry for all the Q's but youve piqued my interest on this character:ghost:

I don't have any more Skinner pics right now... but I'll try to get some.
Because I haven't read the Spirits of Vengeance storyline in a while, his entire story sorta jumbles into one for me. Issue 3 of SOV (I think) contains his rebirth story. This is the main reason why I like this character. It's so very tragic and a great idea for a villian. Plus, he had the coolest weapon; his forarm bone which transformed into some brutal looking axe type bones. Awesome
As for physical threat, we'll he was no more of one than anything or anyone else. Ghost Rider is still near invincable, no matter who or what is attacking him. Skinner was an addition to Lilith's Lilin and thus strengthed her little family. This threatened not only Ghost Rider and the rest of the Midnight Son's but the world as a whole. Not so much physical pain but the pain of not existing in a world as we know it is what GR had to worry about.

You Know it just made me think what a great Rouge's Gallery GR has,as 1 of the difficulties facing DD2 is who to have as the villain since none of his foes are that great outside of kingpin and bullseye.
thx for the info flame he is an extremely menacing character:)

DD2 has a lot more things to worry about than which villian it's going to have... I'll leave that at that.

So... back to the Lilin. Let's talk about Meatmarket.
http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/meatmarketgrider1.jpg
He made a few appearances, probably because he was so visually appealing. If they ever developed a story with him, they'd probably do most of it cgi... therefor no casting would be involved. Might be fun to think who could pull it off though.
Information of him can be found here...

well meatmarket is another excellent sounding GR villain....I can't honestly think of a way to use an actor other than in motion capture form...for that a good character actor may be best.....he's another villain who i think would give the PG-13 rating a problem as skeleton with flesh patches doen't sound rating friendly to me..lol..
have you got biog pages on all the lilin as i like the sound of pilgrim ?

Sorry about never getting back to you on this HR. It seemed to get lost in the cracks along the way. I couldn't find any bio pages on Pilgrim, though I do remember them having more Lilin pages somewhere online. I'll have another look when I get off work and on my own computer. I may have the files saved on my compuer as well.

While I love the Undertaker I don't think with Skinner unique abilities that full body tatoos would work in with the scheme.

I think you have some great ideas there. I especially like your choice for Skinner (one of my fav of the Lilin) and Nick Stahl would probably make a pretty good Blackout indeed. He certainly has enough of a pretty boy look to pull off the "beautiful face" that he so dearly loves.

Yeah, she'd be a really good villain. She was a strong character in the comics: mother of a load of hellspawn with diverse powers and appearances. Lots of creative possibilities there.
You know who I think would make a great Lilith? Sigourney Weaver. Like she is in Alien Resurrection, dangerous and sexy. And, of course, a great actress with strong screen presence.

God, u hit the motherlode there....!
I hope that if they ever make a sequel, and if they did decide on Lilith, they don't take the predictable "sexy, seductive young villainess" route...
Instead , someone older (but still sexy, IMO) like Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Lena Olin or Miranda Richardson would be amazing!!!!

I'm a huge fan of Lilith and her kids. I really think it would make for a brilliant movie as she is the perfect villian for the screen. All her little henchmen can be sent to stop Ghost Rider from getting to her but, of course Ghost Rider must have vengeance and nothing will stop him from getting to her.
By the way, we have a conversation started about who you'd cast as Lilith or any Lilin.... http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148987. I'm pretty sure many agree with you on the Sigourny idea...

Didn't know this thread existed. Thanks for the tip, Flamehead.
I vote Sigourney Weaver for Lilith. Great actress, icy, sexy, strong maternal figure.
No ideas for the Lillin, but please no wrestlers. I love wrestling, but it's like death for a movie to have a wrestler in it.

Yeah, Sigourney would be wonderful...
I agree with the wrestler comment as well. While they may have the look (and certainly talent in their own field) they most often fail to live up to the task in film.
...but please no wrestlers. I love wrestling, but it's like death for a movie to have a wrestler in it.
Truer words may never have been spoken. I am a avid wrestling fan for around 20 years now (I started watching very young) and what I've come to realize is that wrestlers can't act.
My friend and I always comment that Chris Benoit had the most accurate mannerisms to be Wolverine in the X-Men movies, but we also know it would really be a bad idea knowing Benoit can't act. Hell, at times he can't even work a mic.
No wrestlers.
I must say, Sigourney Weaver might be the best choice for Lilith. Maybe if not a Ghost Rider sequel, perhaps as a character in a Dr. Strange film. Or maybe that's the insomnia talking.

I don't know...especially after seeing this guy and revamping my choice for Skinner. His last film was The Longest Yard
Dalip Singh

By the way he's 7'3 400pds. That seems about right cause that's the average from six different sites.
And if not Skinner then another. He's a current fave for Bane in Batman.

Jet Li couldn't either when he filmed Lethal Weapon 4. Leanred the lines phonetically. But I think I remember at the premiere he spoke more during an interview, it was just the character.

Umm...I hate to tell ya but that was pure Arnold in Conan. The movie he was dubbed in was Hercules in New York. The figured his accent was fine for Conan since it was fantasy and he was supposed to be Cimmerian or some such. He also had done Stay Hungry( Jeff Bridges, Sally Field"naked") and Pumping Iron along with a few T.V. shows before Conan. No dubbing in any of those either.
Even though I am against pro wrestlers in movies, Dalip Singh does have the perfect size and body type for the character. It could be possible to redesign Skinner and have him a silent hunter to allow for such an actor. But is he a good enough actor to play the character right?
I have still yet to see The Longest Yard remake, so I'm curious.

Hard to say. Sometimes someone just is. Or is just perfect for a certain role. Hulk Hogan pretty much played himself in Rocky III and was better than anything else he'd been in since. Serena Williams was in an Law and Order episode and couldn't act her way out of a wet sack. Same with singers trying to act. Some can (Cher, Tupac, Will Smith) some can't ( Brittney Spears, Lil Kim, Kenny Rogers)

Nelly was pretty good in that movie, as were most of the wrestlers and football players.
But the movie does not seem to house the most complicated of roles. Either a security guard or football player or... cheerleader. These were not Oscar roles (don't need to see the movie to know that).
I'm sure as fans of the character we don't want a bad actor to ruin him. I still feel Colin Farrell, albeit had the right accent for the character, was a horrible choice for Bullseye and just made scenes with him unbearable.

You bring up a valid point. But I also don't feel Farrell was physically right either. The problem with getting things right has plagued comic to film movies over the years. Sometimes to the point of being unbearable. Farrell as Bullseye is just one example of the wrong actor. Punisher to me was the right actor, wrong script. X-men got many things right and at the same time many thing wrong. The Hulk, well. And I'm not even gonna get into Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut. I guess that's what makes the ones that come closet so utterly enjoyable. The ones that closely blend the physical, acting, and script. Spiderman I and II. Batman Begins. Superman the Movie. Blade. The X-Men films for the most part. Sin City and other excellent graphic novel adaptations.
Here's to hoping that GR (and hopefully future sequels) has that blend.

I wanna cast my name in the hat for Skinner.
Though I'm not as heavy, at 6'5, 210, I think I could fill the bill. I have a fairly extensive martial arts history, so I could handle the rough and tumble part of it.
As for Lillith? hmmm.... Monica Bellucci has a certain look about her.
Milla Jovovich has the build and appeal for a role too.

Gary Oldman is the man. Fearless actor. I know what you mean about him being a little old for the part though.
How about Ben Foster? That'd be his third Marvel movie, but, damn, he's an amazing actor. Completely different in every role and totally convincing. He's young, lean and can do the psychotic thing (Hostage).
