I love this movie. Its where I first fell in love with Natalie Portman. Awesome story, great action and of course Gary Oldman was badass.

loved this film!
the way the film ended its perfect for a sequel. arent they working on that Mathilda screenplay yet? i think Portman already agreed to do it if the script is good isnt it?

Great movie, one of the few of Besson I like. It has some of his main little obsession (the police as a corrupted force) but not to the point of being irritating like in his next movies.

hands down one of the, if not the, best action movies ever.
Love the movie and thought Natalie Portman was great in it(cute too! :D ) heard there is a special edition dvd of it with extra scenes and more action in it. Never could find it :(
EDIT: Cause it made Rizpower angry

there's "the professional" and "leon: the professional". the professional was the cut released theatrically in america. leon: the professinoal was the cut that WASNT released theatrically in america and it has more footage....really really cool footage!!! it IS on dvd. i got my copy at best buy...so you shouldnt have a problem finding it. i think there was even a sticker on the front saying it had the extra footage...i think theres also a superbit version of leon: the professional...but i was never into the superbits...you dont get the special features....

yeah, i always thought it would be cool if they did a sequel called MATHILDA....whit mathilda grown up and her life as an assassin...BUT, it would have to be done very carefully and well. get luc besson to return as writer/director...get portman to return to the role, etc....
gary oldman was kickass and crazy. i found the little girl being in love with leon somewhat weird but good.
Don't know if it's true but I actually heard Leon was surpose to have sex with her  but N. Portman parents objected to that part so it was written out.

I saw this movie when I was about 8 and ever since then I've considered Jean Reno to be one my favorite actors.
I don't know about a sequel though, Jean Reno made that movie what it is for me and while I like Natalie Portman I couldn't imagine a "Professional" movie with just her as the lead.

I have been hoping for a while they give this movie the videogame treatment. Luc Besson really shines with this gem. A+ film that never gets too old to watch.

I love it. Briliant movie, one of my favorites. (Just look at my avvy). Portman deserved an Oscar (one of, if not the, best debut performances ever) and Oldman is at his best here. And yes, I'd love a sequel. Portman said on the deluxe edition that she'd do it if Besson wanted to.

if there was a sequel they would turn portman's character into the brunette nikita (that isn't sidney bristow)

If they do a sequel she needs to look after a young boy. And she should cross that line and have sex with him.

God, I love this movie! Jean Reno, Natalie Portman, and Gary Oldman ara all great in it. The film has become one of my favorites. I think a sequel with Portman could work, but only if it was a great script.

That is a pretty cool idea for a sequel. I like the title, kind of inspired me to create my own. I was bored
And yes it was fun pasting Portman's head on Milla Jovovich's body.

I'd love to see a sequel with Portman. I can see her character going to work for the Italian guy with the restaurant. Of course on the side she'd be cleaning up the left overs from Stansfield crew :word::up:

I don't think she'd want to work for him anyway. It's not like she has no where else to go. He took advantage of Leon. Mathilda is smarter than that.

I'd like for 'Mathilda' to be part of the title of the film in some way. Your idea isn't a bad one though.
