I love it when Jessica has to explain about her super powers and such. It's like a fresh approach to something I hear all the time. She seems a little clumsy when talking about them, but I like that. Makes it more believable that she was just some hot chick that ended up with these whacky powers. :D

It's interesting- in previous interviews, she sounded relieved that she only had to step off behind the cameras to become "invisible". I might be wrong, but I detected a little regret in the most recent Yahoo interveiw that she wouldn't be doing action scenes (which she did great in Dark Angel) because of her absence. What do you think Auntie? btw, you are the queen.

Thanks, hunter. The holiday's really wore me out. I did 18 performances for 14 days straight. I was really pooped. Didn't even have the strength to log on. The good news is that I've had about two weeks off. I have an audition tonight. Ahhh the circle continues.

As for the action comments. Kinda hard to gage whether it was regret or just strange new territory. Might be a tad bit of regret, kinda like the "be careful what you wish for" rule. I'm sure though that Sue will be getting plenty of opportunities in the franchise to do some action. Just imagine if she turns into Malice for one of the sequels. Yeeesh. That could get ugly. :D

Yes, but according to the script, Susan's forcefields do all the damage. She does no hand-to-hand combat in the film. However that might change in the rewritten final act, who knows.

Sue's character is just different because she isn't "there" they have to get Jessica's movements and all to put into the CGI "invisible" Sue. i'd be joking about getting paid double too lol! each actor has their hardships: Jessica doing lines twice, Ioan kissing invisible women and having to shoot somethings twice, Chris has wire work, and of course Michael in that suit. got to love them :D :up:

Born in Pomona, CA on April 28, 1981, Jessica and her family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi when she was an infant. Three years later, her Air Force father brought the family back to CA, then to Del Rio, Texas, before finally settling in Southern California when Jessica was nine. In love with the idea of becoming an actress from the age of five, Jessica was 12 before she took her first acting class. Nine months later, she was signed by an agent. A gifted young actress, Jessica has already played a variety of roles ranging from light comedy to gritty drama since beginning her career. She made her feature film debut in 1993 in Hollywood Pictures comedy Camp Nowhere. Originally hired for two weeks, she got her break when an actress in a principal role suddenly dropped out. But while taking an astronomy class, she met Reed Richards and it was love atfirst sight. Susan introduced Reed to her brother Johnny, and Reed introduced her to his roommate and army buddy Ben Grimm. The four quickly became fast friends. After Reed completed his doctorate, he was awarded a government project to complete the first interstellar starship. Reed asked Ben to be his pilot, and he agreed. Susan went along to stay with Reed and the three left for Stockton, CA to work on the project. Johnny was still in high school, but he went west to visit the others during summer vacation. That's when Reed hit them with his bombshell---the governement had cancelled his project and was withdrawing all funds. In a desperate attempt to prove his ship would work, Reed decided to make an unauthorized test run---but he needed four people to fly the starship. Sue and Johnny quickly volunteered, against Ben's protests. Ben was (rightly) worried about bringing inexperienced civilians on board, as well as the possible effects of cosmic radiation with the minimally shielded starship. In fact, Ben almost refused to go until Sue played off his ego and pride. The four rocketted off to the stars, and you know what happened afterwards....

Today, one can convincingly argue that she is now the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four.Furthermore, while Susan cannot fly, she can use her force field to elevate herself and others through the air---as high as ten miles above the surface of the Earth. (Valeria is especially fond of using this power to "surf" through the air, much to the chagrin of Susan, who worries about her daughter losing concentration in mid-air.) In addition to making herself invisible, Susan can also extend a field of invisibility to include other objects or persons. Finally, although this is not a "power" granted to her through cosmic radiation, Sue has trained extensively in martial arts since becoming one of the Fantastic Four and currently holds a black belt in judo, karate, and shaolin kung fu.

Jessica Alba's diverse appearences are irrelevant, IMO. Although Jessica is really talented for a girl her age, I think she's hasn't fully developed her skills behind the camera, and is still building up her versatility as an actress, which is probably the reason why her career roles haven't expanded . Although Jessica is really talented for a girl her age, I think she's hasn't fully developed her skills behind the camera, and is still building up her versatility as an actress, which is probably the reason why her career roles haven't expanded . LOL, I've been wanting to watch that movie forever, but the movie's not for rent at my local Blockbuster. :(

Reviews of the movie weren't phenominal, but I did in fact hear Alba's performance was rather convincing, although some articles I read had some nagative comments, some panned her performance as being too "wooden" but usually towards Alba's accent as a native in the movie. Still, critic reviews don't alter my opinion on movies, so I wouldn't be surprised if Alba pulled out a great performance in that movie.:)

Yeah, that's the thing about Hollywood though. I mean, the so-called professionals of movie reviewing have so many different views on a movie, some bashing the film, others that liked it immensely, it's hard to actually find a review that doesn't exaggerate the truth about the movie, whether or not it's bad or good. With Alba's academy award, I am very happy to hear of it, and I'm sure her hard-earned performance was the reason why she got the award, it only makes me want to watch the movie more and more LOL, ya know, to check out her performance myself.:cool:
