I doubt the pic shows, but here's the cover to the recent GQ mag with Alba on the cover. It says "Wake up to Jessica Alba" and has her wearing nothing but a pair of blue little boy shorts and a smile. I'm hearing alot about it. If this was already brought up, I apologize.

Well considering I'm and Auburn/Brown haired woman that went predominantly blonde....lol....this is a hard question.....I actually like the color inbetween....like she had it when she was promoting "Honey"....and I have a feeling she may like that too and will possibly go back to that.....NOW if you ask most of her fans....they are worse than "fanboys" when it comes to this....they want her back looking exactly like she did on "Dark Angel".....and let me say BTW many were not happy with that photo shoot....I for one that it was very classy, and beautifully done......but knowing as many hispanic fathers as I do.......her dad's reaction to them was not surprising AT ALLLLLL......I loved her boyfriends reaction and her reply back....LOL

Personally, it looks unusual and interesting in a good way for this movie. A futuristic setting definitely needs some cross breading looks to the characters. Did you see Starship Troopers and how the setting had all these characters with names like Rico, Flores, and Ibanez being played by Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer.... all white as they come and the film's setting taking place in South America? That movie alone is probably why I've been so receptive towards Alba being cast, and me thinking she's perfect and being happy for her.
I do however, hope she doesn't remain looking like this for too long. It just doesn't look natural; I mean it's nowhere near the extreme of Jacko (and I'm sorry to even bring him up as a comparison, being there hardly is one....it's just to make a point), but it does look a little wierd to go around publicly like that long after these movies are done filming. This movie, yes. Sin City? Yes. Talk shows and stuff months after these movies? No. If it's a matter of it being a public reicipe that sells magazines and gets her work later on, then more power to her, but, I'd be surprised. :cool: Am I off here?

To kick things off I'd like to make this point: Some people (including myself at one time) feel that Jessica Alba, although drop-dead gorgeous, is "too sexy" or exotic to play the role of Susan Storm. However, I think the casting choice is dead on, as shown in this picture comparisons I developed. Jessica possesses many of the same features--the full lips, the doe-eyes and the general facial structure--that artists have depicted for Susan in recent years.

Susan's Story

Susan Storm Richards
(known aliases include: Invisible Girl, Malice, Susan Benjamin)
Susan Storm is the eldest of the two children of Dr. Franklin and Mary Storm. She was born in Glenville, New York and was raised like most children, with the exception of one thing: her father was jailed for performing illegal medical procedures. When she was 12, she met Reed Richards (then 23) at her aunt's bording house. She was quite infatuated and tried to keep tabs on Reed for years to come.

As Susan grew older, she became interested in acting and got a few small television roles. Upon learning that Reed was moving to California, she left to pursue both of her dreams: Reed Richards and a career in Hollywood. She quickly captured Reed's heart and to pledge her faith in him, she offered her and her younger brother, Johnny, as human guinea pigs for his experimental rocket ship.

Sue was the first to find her super powers after the rocket crashed just outside of Central City, California. Initially, Sue could only become invisible at will; but over the years she gained the strength to render other objects invisible as well as create invisible force fields. Reed and his father, Nathaniel, have theorized the her powers stem from Hyperspace, giving her virtually a limitless supply of energy.
Shortly after the creation of the Fantastic Four, Susan designed their first uniforms. And not long afterwards she married Reed Richards and bore him a son, Franklin. Her first pregnancy was filled with complications, and she would have died if the remaining members of the FF borrow Annihilus' Cosmic Control Rod to save her life. Although her second pregnancy was not as life-threatening, their second child was believed to be still-born. This child, in reality, was transported into the future where she was born under unusual complications.

After Reed's apparent death, Sue took up leadership of the Fantastic Four. She quickly became more than a power to be reckoned with. After Reed's return however, she had been somewhat reluctant to give up her status of authority. Since her son was captured by Onslaught, and his powers severely depleted by creating and maintaining the Franklinverse, Susan seems to be returning to a more motherly role, hoping to raise her children in a more stable environment.

Her father lapsed into alcoholism and gambling addiction, so she and her younger brother Jonathan moved to Long Island to stay in the boarding home of their Aunt Mary. For several years Susan had to look after Johnny like a surrogate mother, and this affected their relationship for many years to come. Despite her underprivileged background, Susan got good grades in high school and won a scholarship to Columbia University. Going into college, she was torn between seeking an acting career or pursuing a medical career like her father. But while taking an astronomy class, she met Reed Richards and it was love atfirst sight. Susan introduced Reed to her brother Johnny, and Reed introduced her to his roommate and army buddy Ben Grimm. The four quickly became fast friends. After Reed completed his doctorate, he was awarded a government project to complete the first interstellar starship. Reed asked Ben to be his pilot, and he agreed. Susan went along to stay with Reed and the three left for Stockton, CA to work on the project. Johnny was still in high school, but he went west to visit the others during summer vacation. That's when Reed hit them with his bombshell---the governement had cancelled his project and was withdrawing all funds. In a desperate attempt to prove his ship would work, Reed decided to make an unauthorized test run---but he needed four people to fly the starship. Sue and Johnny quickly volunteered, against Ben's protests. Ben was (rightly) worried about bringing inexperienced civilians on board, as well as the possible effects of cosmic radiation with the minimally shielded starship. In fact, Ben almost refused to go until Sue played off his ego and pride. The four rocketted off to the stars, and you know what happened afterwards....

She could turn invisible (duh!) but that was it, and she wasn't particularly strong. But Sue eventually discovered that she had another power---the ability to create invisible force fields. Over the years, Susan became much more adept at using these powers. For example, instead of just using her force field for defensive purposes, Sue can also use them as a weapon to attack foes. Indeed, Sue has been able to single handedly defeat the Thing, the She-Hulk (both with altered personalities), Titania, and the Absorbing Man. Her force-field has managed to sustain attacks by nuclear explosions and the Hulk. Today, one can convincingly argue that she is now the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four.Furthermore, while Susan cannot fly, she can use her force field to elevate herself and others through the air---as high as ten miles above the surface of the Earth. (Valeria is especially fond of using this power to "surf" through the air, much to the chagrin of Susan, who worries about her daughter losing concentration in mid-air.) In addition to making herself invisible, Susan can also extend a field of invisibility to include other objects or persons. Finally, although this is not a "power" granted to her through cosmic radiation, Sue has trained extensively in martial arts since becoming one of the Fantastic Four and currently holds a black belt in judo, karate, and shaolin kung fu.

If Reed could be described as the head of the team, and Ben the heart, then Sue is probably the backbone. Even if her work isn't as flashy or visible as the others, Sue has nevertheless been essential to keeping the team together. But just because she has been relatively quiet in the past does not mean that she can't lead the team. With Reed, Johnny, and Ben in the Negative Zone, Susan reluctantly decides to form a new Fantastic Four to show her daughter what it means to follow in her footsteps. The Invisible Woman may not have the scientific expertise that her husband did, but to use a Star Trek metaphor, you don't have to know as much as Mr. Spock to be a Captain Kirk. Sue has the experience needed to make tough decisions, and the team trusts her leadership.So if you want to read adventures about a demure Sue who has to wait for the other boys to rescue her from the clutches of Dr. Doom----this probably isn't the web site for you!

OK. I just have to disagree with everything you say here. I was less than convinced by her in the trailers (admittedly I'm being very sceptical from just a few clips) although she does have the look down. And as far as Angelina being hotter? I don't think so good buddy!!!

The top picture is the best Susan Storm image I've seen to ever come out of today's era. Hat's off to you K. for finding this gem. On the other hand, the bottom image is one of the worst to ever cross this forum. LOL. IMO it's degrading to the character, Sue Storm and women in general.

I enjoy the company of women, have a beautiful girlfriend and appreciate the female body. But, when women are presented continually in this fashion it not only creates a destructive trend in comics (it pushes itself above the story in importance) but, also plants a seed in the minds of young men that exceptional women all come packaged as a T&S model. I've been accused of being a "ladies-man" at first look or this is what I search out in women (my girlfriend is considered beautiful by anyone's standard). But, it's hard press to find something that will steam me more than when something like this is trumpeted. I wish the artists who enjoy doing this would put down the "girly" mags and go live a little in the real world.
