Before Taskmaster can respond to Deadpool's remark about his image inducer, Deadpool's cell phone rings."...yea, but I....you ca....."

*Deadpool hangs up his phone and turns to Taskmaster.*

"you know sometimes you just can't talk to people. You know, they just ramble on and on and no matter what you do you just can't shut them up. You know what I'm talking about? Oh yea, Doom says 'hi.'""So the almighty Doctor Doom saw fit to grace us with the sound of his voice, huh?" said Taskmaster as they came up to the gate outside Camp David.

Getting out of the car, Taskmaster motions to Deadpool to follow him to the trunk of the car. Opening the trunk, Taskmaster registers Deadpool's glee upon seeing the small but impressive array of missile launchers, high-explosives, assault rifles, and machine guns.

"Remember; we don't want a repeat of what happened at the White House. I can't always save your ass. We'll go in stealthily and then, when we've cut off all escape routes..."

Taskmaster loads his weapons and straps them onto his back.

"...we'll kick it Old School."

*While Johnny is shooting down gun towers, he receives an urgent call from H.E.R.B.I.E. alpha.*

'Sir, Mr. Storm and Mr. Grimm, according to my electronic sources, Doom's droid in California are fitted with a miniature radiation explosive device. I do not have information about the extent of damage these devices can cause, but please be careful.I believe he is using the same droids in Lavteria a well.'

“Freaking Doom, Wise guy huh? I sure wish Sue was here; her force fields will come in handy. That or Reed, we need another wise guy, fight fire with fire. H.E.R.B.I.E. patch this meassage to everybody else.”

*H.E.R.B.I.E. does what he is told.*

Photon makes landfall in Latriva and under cover switching back to her visual intangable light form before comming back out into the open and fires a well placed laser bolt at the first doom bot that comes her way. Which promitly explodes unleashing it's lethal failsafe device-which being in her intangable form is uneffected by it. Then switching tactics she vaporized the next robot entirely before it could activate it's fail safe unit. But seeing this new problem she uses her powers to send a coded snap message back to Fury.
"Photon to Fury? Doom wasn't kidding about that fail safe device. The only way around it is you have to take out the unit before it can activate it. So pass it on to the others." she ends as she begins quickly taking out doom bots while waiting for the others to arrive.

<snip>”You’re kidding, right?” Ben asks his teammate, fist still poised, ready to strike, ”We can’t catch a stinkin’ break…” Grimm drops the droid.

However, this moment of hesitation and distraction costs him. Once again, the robots have locked on and a hail of missiles and laser-bolts hit him, knocking him back.

”These are the kinds of problems you need Reed here to solve,” he laments to himself, ”looks like we got ourselves an interestin’ fight ahead o’ us.”

Making her way thru the doom bots Photon spots Ben, and the robots which successfully hit him with missiles. And vaporizes them totally in quick order as she makes her way to him. Cursing to herself as she leans down towards Ben.

"Hey. Rockman. You still with us?" she asks.

" Nick, I think we should have Grimm and Storm pull out. This doesn't look good."
with that said I fly around were Thing is at and swoop down toward two tanks. I rip both barrels off the tanks and pull out the soldiers in them. I tos them aside into the rubble and lower myself closer to ground level. I hover next to Thing so I can cover him with my repulsor rays. . .
( To Thing) " Hey, need a hand outta here?"

"Hey. Look who decided to join the party." Photon says, still vaporizing doombots as she greets the approachng Iron Man.

OOC: Unless this disrupts things Photon, in her light form recently managed to join the Thing by the time Iron man arrived.

Doom hovered above the battlefield, jet packs firing. Immediately, all Latverian Forces stopped firing at the makeshift team of Iron Man, Thing, and Photon.

Doom lowered himself to the ground, coming face to face with the 3 heroes. He let a low chuckle.

" My Oh My... what have we here. " Doom reached into his armor and produced the device he had been working on so meticulously before the New Avengers had shown up.

" Ladies and gentlemen, you have trespassed upon Latverian soil. You are now under the laws of DOOM, and being the absolute authority here and soon the world, I hereby demand the following.

Surrender. Your resistance is in vain. As we speak, my forces have reached the easternmost border of Iran and will soon begin mobilizing for the next advance into India and China. It is now safe to say that the control of half of this planet is in the palm of my hand. Furthermore, at my command, the entire Bay Area will be leveled to the ground. Any more attacks from you and yours will be a direct violation of Latverian law and will force me to order the murders of countless innocent American lives. "

" Sadly though, you are all amazingly ignorant and stupid, and will most likely continue to fight for whatever idealistic "cause" you deem so worthy that you would give your lives. " Doom looked at Photon and Iron Man especially, grinning under his mask. " So this..." he said, presenting the device "... is the cure to your wretched existance." He attached the device to his armor and activated it, producing a low hum and a glowing blue light.

" What you are looking at is my newest invention to thwart your pathetic attempts at heroism. This device is a vaccuum. Of what you may ask? " Doom took a few steps back and snarled. " This device is a vaccuum of any energy within a given radius. The energy is sucked into the device and redirected through my armor where it is either stored or released at my will. Photon, Stark.... any attempt to use your "powers" will result in them being redirected to you with the force and will of DOOM. "

Now, I will offer you one last chance. Leave now, FOREVER, and do not interfere again, and this goes for your friend Nick Fury as well... and I will allow you to live and the world will not know the pain of innocent people burned alive. Or stay, and fight... and I will systematically destroy every single person in your dispicable country and crush your skulls under my foot.

He is starting to get frantic now as the scenes of destruction unfold right before his eyes. Every second his team isn't there is a second where innocent people are dying.
He Quickly relays the information to Professor X as he runs to the Xjet.

Professor Xavier, contact Magneto, and tell him to bury the hatchet and meet us as fast as he can. Maybe he can stop these things.
He sat in the Blackbird, ready to take off as soon as Rouge reached it.

*Johnny walks in with his personal force shield modulator activated, between the three heroes and doom. His force shield is covered with cracks from being blasted with missles, energy rays, and beaten by Doom's droids. Johnny had managed to drag in two droids. One droid with one arm around Johnny's neck pounding on his shield and the other droid was squeezing his waist very hard. The two droids looked perfectly unharmed, but both were damaging Johnny's personal force field.*

"Damn you Doom, I'm tired of your childish games, just because you’re a selfish baby who wants to rule the world. Well you want to get rid of us and we heroes want to get rid of you. I'll just go SUPER NOVA, destroying your toys activating the fail safe, and killing us all!"

Well, guess what happened after ol’ Adolf got his territory…he wanted more. Doom ain’t running this show anymore. We’re ending it now.”

Before anyone has a chance to react, Ben Grimm grabs one of the droids of Johnny and makes a quick leap at Doom as he hovers in front of them. In an attempt to evade the tackle, Doom tries to gain height…but he cannot distance himself enough with such short notice. Grimm attaches himself to Dr. Dooms ankle with a grip like a vice.

”Iron Guy! You want to give me a quick scan of Doom here…tell me if we’re playing with the Real McCoy…?”

”Give me a sec…yep…as far as I can tell, that’s him in the flesh...and, uh...metal.” Iron Man replies. (OOC: Hope that’s O.K., Batman…)

”Good…hey, Vicky…I don’t buy it…I’m wagerin’ that if you go down, for good…we’ll all be the better for it.” Grimm is not his usual, cheery self…he’s been pushed to the edge in the last few days. If Reed were here, he’d be able to outsmart Doom…but Reed wasn’t here. Seeing Johnny break down was the final straw, Ben was going to deal with this his way…once and for all. ”If you don’t call yer dogs off this minute, and I mean here and in the U.S., I’ma slam this little guy here right into your chest. See, Doom…even if this blast takes out a thousand people…one of those thousand’s gonna be you…I know you…you’re not ready to die for any cause…”

His teammates watched as this odd chain hung in mid-air.

”Yer’ choice…either you withdraw every troop…and I mean, every troop from the States and pull back yer forces everywhere else…or you and I see just how lethal yer little robots are…”

(OOC: Just so you know, kang…the Thing’s got some serious kung-fu grip going on Doom’s ankle…there’s no way you’re knocking him off without losing that leg.)

Ripping his com off, Logan throws it into an alley as he zooms past. There was only one thought on his mind...Doctor Octopus, bleeding. Alot. Going through what he remembered about the good Doctor, Logan placed the events together. Bullseye. Doc. Green Goblin. The Punisher.

"Okay the last time I saw Doc, he was with Bullseye, but no...Okay...next stop, that freaking factory!"

Gas meets engine, engine meets speed and Logan is headed to Oscorp...

Blade waited...and waited...and waited.. It'd seemed forever and Fury's helicarrier had'nt gotten there yet. Blade shrugged before noticing another thing - the assault droids and battle tanks had stop in their tracks.

Blade got up and slowly moved out of the escape pod's "cover". He noticed the scramble going on with Doom, the FF, and his Avenger teammates. As he got closer he witnessed a sequence of sorrow and anger all at once. Johnny begging for it all to end, and Ben lashing out at Doom, threatening to take him out regardless of what the consiquences were. Apparently he did know him well, well enough to know that even Von Doom was afraid of death.

When Blade was within close proximity to his allies he spoke, trying to be as comical as he possibly could, "Where's the fire?"....

( To Johnny Storm) Whoa, whoa...settle down. You're hittin' Doom below the belt, Johnny boy. Let's take it easy now. Let me Talk to Doom.
(To Doom) Listen up Doom. We'll pull out, but we have our eyes on you. Any further attacks that you either have planned or act on will not be tolerated any further. We will not stand by and watch you enslave further countries under your power-hungry rule. That especially includes the U.S. And just because we're the only ones here don't think that we don't have our own alliance formed against you. You're time is coming Doom. It's just not now.
(To Group) Avengers!! I'll stand cover. Let's move.

"Not yet shellhead." Photon, still facing Doom says to him. "I got family in 'Oleans. Family that no way am I going to leave under his thumb. That's why it's time to end this BS now." then she switches her attention to Doom. "Again your move."

”Quit yer blubberin', kid,” The Thing had heard enough, ”he's right though, there’s only one way to stop deranged psychos. Yer a smart guy, Tin-can…you ever heard of appeasement…? You know, back before WWII, how all these countries, to avoid war with the Nazis, gave Hitler and his gang all this territory if he agreed not to fight? Well, guess what happened after ol’ Adolf got his territory…he wanted more. Doom ain’t running this show anymore. We’re ending it now.”

Before anyone has a chance to react, Ben Grimm grabs one of the droids of Johnny and makes a quick leap at Doom as he hovers in front of them. In an attempt to evade the tackle, Doom tries to gain height…but he cannot distance himself enough with such short notice. Grimm attaches himself to Dr. Dooms ankle with a grip like a vice.

”Iron Guy! You want to give me a quick scan of Doom here…tell me if we’re playing with the Real McCoy…?”

”Give me a sec…yep…as far as I can tell, that’s him in the flesh...and, uh...metal.” Iron Man replies. (OOC: Hope that’s O.K., Batman…)

”Good…hey, Vicky…I don’t buy it…I’m wagerin’ that if you go down, for good…we’ll all be the better for it.” Grimm is not his usual, cheery self…he’s been pushed to the edge in the last few days. If Reed were here, he’d be able to outsmart Doom…but Reed wasn’t here. Seeing Johnny break down was the final straw, Ben was going to deal with this his way…once and for all. ”If you don’t call yer dogs off this minute, and I mean here and in the U.S., I’ma slam this little guy here right into your chest. See, Doom…even if this blast takes out a thousand people…one of those thousand’s gonna be you…I know you…you’re not ready to die for any cause…”

His teammates watched as this odd chain hung in mid-air.

”Yer’ choice…either you withdraw every troop…and I mean, every troop from the States and pull back yer forces everywhere else…or you and I see just how lethal yer little robots are…”

(OOC: Just so you know, kang…the Thing’s got some serious kung-fu grip going on Doom’s ankle…there’s no way you’re knocking him off without losing that leg.)

And before doom can even think a brightly shinning Photon almost instatly move in behind Doom. Grabing him in a necklock with one hand and placing her plam solidly on the side of her temple.

"Listen to him Doom. This way no one wins, No one loses and it'll be a Draw which eveyone can walk away from this." she pauses. "Or if not then I will be forced to instantly take out you and every single robot on this rock." Photon says to him. "Granted I might take out much of my teamates in the process but isn't that what you have in store for us anyway?"

OOC: Iron Man knows immediatly that we've taking about the type of major league EMP pulse here needed to do what she says is in the class that supernova's give out. The type that-in short kills bigtime.

OOC: im pretty sure i outlined that my doombots are immune to emp pfunk. i made it detailed so that there was no confusion as to the strength of these doombots.

Photon and Thing had Doom cornered, the pressure being applied becoming insufferable. Under the immense strength of the Thing, Doom's leg broke off, exposing wiring and spraying shards of metal everywhere.

Doom grinned from his aircraft hovering above the scene. " Fools. Do you really believe that Doom would put himself in a situation so dangerous? Even though I could easily destroy all of you, I am no idiot. " Doom's voice resonated over a megaphone.

" These negotiations are over. I gave you your chance to resolve this problem peacefully. Now the end of the lives of thousands of mothers and children are on your hands. "

" Doom to US command. Fire at will, destroy completely, leave nothing alive. " Victor radio'ed his command. (OOC: just for reference, the attack has now begun in California)

Doom scowled at the 4 heroes. " And as for you... " he ejected himself from the cockpit and flew just out of the Avengers/FF, the real energy vaccuum attached to his chest and activated.

He turned to his massive army. " Kill them. All of them. " He turned back to them with a growl and released a lethal concussive force blast right at the Thing's feet...

OOC: The Doombots work like this. There are land based Doombots, which are assault droids, bi-pedal, with all the high-tech guns and whatnot. These are the highest in quantity... then there is air strike forces and heavy artillery (tanks, high powered laser guns, etc.)... The doombots are a product of Dr. Doom's engineering, so needless to say, they are hard to kill... and also Dr. Octopus invented a fail-safe device that is installed in every one that should they be destroyed, they blow up and release a radiation blast that fries any living molecules within a given radius.

They are attacking the Bay Area from all sides, destroying EVERYTHING. people, buildings, etc.

Doom’s blast is well-placed, hitting The Thing right at his feet. The force of it is so powerful that he is again thrown back, hitting another wall. This time, however, the wall is more solid. Ben Grimm’s massive body hits with a heavy THUD! He groans. Looking down, he realizes that he still has ”Doom’s” leg in his left hand and a now-attacking droid in his right. He flings the leg aside.

”Wotta revoltin’ development…HEY STARK!” He yells, ”YOU MIGHT WANNA CHECK THE WIRING IN THAT FANCY SUIT O’ YOURS.”

The Thing pulls himself of the ground…droid still in hand.

"Ben...why is this happening? I thought we were heroes, we are blessed with powers and we can't do nothing to stop this. I mean the good guys always win, right? Ben, I promise that Hispanic girl who lost her mom during the radiation explosion in New York that nothing bad would ever happen again…I lied to her Ben. Knowing that I failed her I really wanted to sacrifice us for the greater good. I'm sorry Ben, I'm sorry for thinking that way."

”Nothing t’be sorry ’bout, kid…you did what you had to do…what you thought was right. It ain’t easy being the good guy…never has been, never will be…you always gotta make the tough calls…my Aunt Petunia once told me that.” Sudden thoughts of his family and what might happen to them if Doom were to succeed lights a fire in Ben Grimm’s heart.

As he rejoins his teammates position, he notices that Johnny Storms’ force-field is near-failing under the renewed offense of Doom’s army.

”JOHNNY! Get outta here…yer done for today. I ain’t messin’ around, neither. Grab the vampire and move…get back to the carrier."

With amazing speed, The Human Torch, now ”flame-on”, is streaking through the sky with Blade in-tow.

(OOC: Pfunk2 and BATMAN409- Here’s your out…if you want to retreat to a safe distance, just say that you did that in a post. I understand Photon has some funky powers where she can maybe withstand the explosion…and, I’m not sure about Iron Man…it’s up to you guys.)

”Photon…Iron Man…you might wanna join ’em cuz I’ve had about enough…I’m gonna see just how bad these little fellas are.”

As Grimm says this, he stalks towards Doom, shrugging off laser fire. Without hesitation, he puts a fist through the chest of the battle droid in his hand, releasing the explosion of radiation…

Shortly after Dr. Doom lands on the ground and gives his orders, he is stricken by something from the sky... No, someone. Thor speared Doom and carried him a good distance from his Doom-bots. Balder and Sif, on winged steeds, swooped down slaying robots and flying away before they could self-destruct.

"Dr. Doom. You have started a war with Asgard, with my friends, with my country (Thor is a citezen of the U.S.) and with all of Midgard. Do not worry. I will not use any energy for you to absorb." Thor drops Mjolnir. "No thunder. No lightning. Just me. I am going to kill you right here and now with my bare hands."

Thor, one of the strongest beings on earth, punches Doom in the chest sending the armored villain into a tree.

"No running Doom. Today, you die."

The bomb lands infront of Frank and sends him flying a couple of yards back.
OCC:I know not much of a post I just need to plain my actions without a bomb coming at me.

Pulling up to the warehouse, Logan scowls at seeing the big letters OSCORP adorning the roof. Moving the bike behind a dumpster, he begins moving closer to the building.

"Better samurai up for this, I guess."

Quickly leaping from the ground, over a flagpole and onto the balcony of the first floor, he gingerly steps over a security camera. Crawling along the ledge, he stops just short of a falling ash from an executive's cigarette. As the man closes the window, Logan continues creeping along until he reaches the air conditioning vent.

Slowly he pops a single claw, carving a line through the hinges on one side of the vent. Opening it just wide enough to fit inside, he begins to move in, stopping just in time to see the laser trip lines.

"Slimy bastard. Clever, but slimy."

Maneuvering his body into the vent past the lasers, he continues his way through the vents like a cat, working his way through the winding hallways toward Osborne's office.

"Well, Should I contact the FF or what?"

Osborn felt an enormous amount of pain - his skull was burning! His brain was being bombardedwith images of all the people he'd hurt, all the innocents he'd killed. He let out an anguished scream, writhing around on the ground.

He needed to try and think through the agony. he realised there was only one think to do. Staggering to his feet, he grabbed a nearby trashcan, throwing it at Ghost-Rider. It wasn't going to do much damage, but it broke his concentration. He was free from the grip of that burning gaze.

Osborn ran away, retreating behind a corner of the street. His head was still a mess, but the one thing he knew was that he had to kil Spider-Man. But who would take care of Ghost-Rider?

Osborn knew what to do. With shaking hands, he took out his cellphone, dialling the first number on spped dial. The call was answered, and Osborn spoke:

"Hello, Magnus..."

The chopper hovered a few metres from the Oscorp building.Ock observed it for a minute."Ok takes us exactly 2 metres above that side of it" Ock said pointing for the pilot."That will avoid the cameras Norman has installed there".

Venom looked at Ock."How do you know he has cameras there Octopus?".Ock smiled."I obtained the security plans to Oscorp years ago when I stole a shipment of ISO-36 from their labs".

The chopper hovered at the angle Ock had suggested.Ock opened the hatch door with a tentacle."Shall we meet and greet gentlemen?" Ock said with a sinister smile as he lept out of the chopper onto the roof,landing on two tentacles.Followed by the others.Electro hovered down on a wave of electricity.

The roof of Oscorp was re-enforced with some kind of metal.Ock looked at Electro."Between my tentacles and a high energy blast from you we should penetrate this" Ock said.Venom pushed them both aside.

"Stand aside ladies.We'll take care of this" Venom snarled as he punched a large hole thru the roof.Ock lowered his shades and looked at it."Crude but effective nonetheless.Well done Brock".Ock gestured to them as they jumped down thru the hole.

Two security guards were running down the hallway they had stepped into."Hold it right there you freaks" one of them shouted as they opened fire.Venom stepped in front of Ock,Electro and Bullseye and the bullets were simply absorbed by the symbiote.Electro fired out two neat streams of electricity and melted their guns.

Venom lept at them and grabbed each of them by their throats."We hope your brains taste as good as you look" he said as he smashed their heads together.

Doc Ock was impressed.He smiled."Gentlemen you do me proud.When the Six is complete and we join Doom we will be unstoppable.But first to the matters at hand".Ock walked down the corridor and came to a room that said 'Private.Do not enter'.

He tore the door off its hinges with two tentacles.Behind the door was the generator for the whole complex."Electro fry this please.It will knock out his whole security system in one go" Ock said with a sinister smile.

"Sweeeeeeet" said Electro as he charged up and blasted the generator.Sparks flew as the lights flickered in the hallway.Doc Ock looked around and smiled.

"And now we go find the dear old Goblin and make him talk" Ock said as he snapped a tentacle claw.

"I can't believe we left him behind like that....", he turned around and stared Johnny right in the eyes, removing his shades, "I know it was for the so-called "greater-good", but personally, I woulda rather died along side him then run off like this......thanks..."

He paused a second, placing his shades back on after letting Johnny know that he was'nt one for running, "..But I suggest that next time, you let me choose my own fate..And tell your little pals at H.E.R.B.I.E fine.. I'll go to Cali or wherever with ya, as long as they can ship me my Mustang over here along with that matchbox you guys call a car...."

OOC: I've got a couple housekeeping items I'd like to bring up...hopefully they aren't too controversial...
The first thing I'm wondering about is whether we can decide on a sort of timeline for stuff that has happened so far in the RPG...I've actually skimmed through the whole thread and it seems that so far, the time passed in the RPG is roughly more than a week...possibly shorter and definitely no longer than 2 weeks...considering the number and magnitude of events we've seen...it seems more reasonable if we can decide to "ret-con" this a little to maybe a couple months or something. The only difference this really makes for us now, is that if we were to flashback a little in our posts, it would be "a few weeks ago" rather than "a few days ago", perhaps...really, it makes little difference but I think it kind of helps with the story and the feasibility of a lot of it.
The second thing I'm gonna bring up (and this is where I think we'll see some controversy) is what territory is under Doom's control at this point...I bring it up because this storyline is one I'm a part of and it is probably going to eventually encompass everyone in the RPG.
Like I said, I've gone through the thread and I've specifically read all of kang's posts...from what he's said in his posts...when he's directly mentioned taking over countries, here is what I've come up with (although, I've even added territory beyond what's been stated)...

"Well go ahead and hide behind your badass exterior, just helping man. Just to let you know we were not running away, we were working as a team and following a teammate’s plead. Photon knew what Ben was doing and stayed to absorb the radiation. Iron Man with his tech and power probably was Ben's right hand man. Since I can fly, I was the transport. that's an example of working together as a team, maybe something you should learn. I hope Ben is strong enough to take that blast, and the other two I believe can survive that disaster. Now with Lavertia basically gone, and his resources cut off, I think we're needed in America. When we reach California, is there somebody I can have H.E.R.B.I.E., my assistant robot contact to have your mustang ready upon your arrival."

I'll patch him in on what's going on so that he can pick-up my Mustang and take it to the Baxter Building for further transport.. I don't want him making such a long trip to California in his state of health, especially with all this **** about Cali being blown to bits by Doom's droids...", he turned away from him with a smirk, "It'll just be a second."

He patched into his "other" comm-device, sending a brief message to his long-time companion. Moments later, he begins to speak out to Johnny, "Ok..I'll ride in that thing until we get to Cali. Whistler'll take care of things with my ride so that it'll be there when we arrive.. Let's move."

Blade made his way past Torch, tapping him in the shoulder as he neared the fantasti-car, "And cheer up kid.. I'm sure Thing did survive that explosion.....Vigilante's intuition...", Blade hopped into the passenger's seat and waits for Johnny.

Photon and Thing had Doom cornered, the pressure being applied becoming insufferable. Under the immense strength of the Thing, Doom's leg broke off, exposing wiring and spraying shards of metal everywhere.

Doom grinned from his aircraft hovering above the scene. " Fools. Do you really believe that Doom would put himself in a situation so dangerous? Even though I could easily destroy all of you, I am no idiot. " Doom's voice resonated over a megaphone.

" These negotiations are over. I gave you your chance to resolve this problem peacefully. Now the end of the lives of thousands of mothers and children are on your hands. "

" Doom to US command. Fire at will, destroy completely, leave nothing alive. " Victor radio'ed his command. (OOC: just for reference, the attack has now begun in California)

Doom scowled at the 4 heroes. " And as for you... " he ejected himself from the cockpit and flew just out of the Avengers/FF, the real energy vaccuum attached to his chest and activated.

He turned to his massive army. " Kill them. All of them. " He turned back to them with a growl and released a lethal concussive force blast right at the Thing's feet...

"Damn it all!!" Photon cries out as she imediatly lets go of the Doom android and fires a laser blast to intercept Doom's lethal concussive blast before it could hit the thing. Then angry looks around for Doom himself.

Doom’s blast is well-placed, hitting The Thing right at his feet. The force of it is so powerful that he is again thrown back, hitting another wall. This time, however, the wall is more solid. Ben Grimm’s massive body hits with a heavy THUD! He groans. Looking down, he realizes that he still has ”Doom’s” leg in his left hand and a now-attacking droid in his right. He flings the leg aside.

OOC; Ignore my last post then.

”Wotta revoltin’ development…HEY STARK!” He yells, ”YOU MIGHT WANNA CHECK THE WIRING IN THAT FANCY SUIT O’ YOURS.”

The Thing pulls himself of the ground…droid still in hand.

"Ben...why is this happening? I thought we were heroes, we are blessed with powers and we can't do nothing to stop this. I mean the good guys always win, right? Ben, I promise that Hispanic girl who lost her mom during the radiation explosion in New York that nothing bad would ever happen again…I lied to her Ben. Knowing that I failed her I really wanted to sacrifice us for the greater good. I'm sorry Ben, I'm sorry for thinking that way."

”Nothing t’be sorry ’bout, kid…you did what you had to do…what you thought was right. It ain’t easy being the good guy…never has been, never will be…you always gotta make the tough calls…my Aunt Petunia once told me that.” Sudden thoughts of his family and what might happen to them if Doom were to succeed lights a fire in Ben Grimm’s heart.

As he rejoins his teammates position, he notices that Johnny Storms’ force-field is near-failing under the renewed offense of Doom’s army.

”JOHNNY! Get outta here…yer done for today. I ain’t messin’ around, neither. Grab the vampire and move…get back to the carrier."

With amazing speed, The Human Torch, now ”flame-on”, is streaking through the sky with Blade in-tow.

(OOC: Pfunk2 and BATMAN409- Here’s your out…if you want to retreat to a safe distance, just say that you did that in a post. I understand Photon has some funky powers where she can maybe withstand the explosion…and, I’m not sure about Iron Man…it’s up to you guys.)

”Photon…Iron Man…you might wanna join ’em cuz I’ve had about enough…I’m gonna see just how bad these little fellas are.”

As Grimm says this, he stalks towards Doom, shrugging off laser fire. Without hesitation, he puts a fist through the chest of the battle droid in his hand, releasing the explosion of radiation…

"No way Ben." Photon shouts out as she quickly shifts and adjusts her now powered up light form to intangable. Allowing her to both easly ignore the explosion and rapidly absorb the deadly radiation around here (which means all the radiation in the area-which should save everyone's butts here). Then, once that's done she streaks skyward at near lightspeed and once in earths orbit releases it and a masive visual flash of light seen from miles around. Now back to her normal glow Photon quickly gives a look down at the earth and heads back into the fight.

*The Fantasti-car soars above San Francisco, now in ruins. Johnny can barely hold his rage at the site of fallen houses, buildings, and landmarks. His blood boils as he witnesses hundreds of fallen bodies as he and Blade pass Market, Broadway and the Embarcadero. Upon entering highway 101, he notices civilian automobiles racing across the lanes. This relieved Johnny a little knowing that there was still signs of life. There was also a reason why those cars were speeding. They were running away from Doom’s droids. He speeds the Fantasi-car along the chase and presses a combination of buttons near the steering wheel, warming up the negative zone generators. Johnny drives the Fantasi-car in front of the on-coming droids, blocking them from the speeding cars.*

“You know guys with the Bay Area’s booming Real Estate and overpopulation, I can recommend an area that is inexpensive and has plenty of space, and it’s called the negative zone.”

*Johnny presses the trigger button and a portal the size of a garage opens directly in front of the Fantasti-car, the portal sucks in the droids, and while Johnny releases the button the portal immediately closes. Then he turns to Blade.*

“Dude, within the compartments of the fantasti-car go find a levitation belt. Jump out and try to kick, punch, or whatever you do best to those droids and direct them to the front of the Fantasti-car. I’ll open the portal and it will suck them in. Try not to get in front the car, and also warn people if you see them. I’ll also contact the X-men and who is ever here to help about the portal.”

As Ghost-rider sees the trash can coming he pulls his hand back and punches it and shatters it into a couple of pieces. As the dust from the trashcan clears he sees Osborn running away. Here is where he has two choices, one chase Osborn or two check on the punisher to see if he is ok. Being the good guy he decides to check on punisher.

The chopper hovered a few metres from the Oscorp building.Ock observed it for a minute."Ok takes us exactly 2 metres above that side of it" Ock said pointing for the pilot."That will avoid the cameras Norman has installed there".

Venom looked at Ock."How do you know he has cameras there Octopus?".Ock smiled."I obtained the security plans to Oscorp years ago when I stole a shipment of ISO-36 from their labs".

The chopper hovered at the angle Ock had suggested.Ock opened the hatch door with a tentacle."Shall we meet and greet gentlemen?" Ock said with a sinister smile as he lept out of the chopper onto the roof,landing on two tentacles.Followed by the others.Electro hovered down on a wave of electricity.

The roof of Oscorp was re-enforced with some kind of metal.Ock looked at Electro."Between my tentacles and a high energy blast from you we should penetrate this" Ock said.Venom pushed them both aside.

"Stand aside ladies.We'll take care of this" Venom snarled as he punched a large hole thru the roof.Ock lowered his shades and looked at it."Crude but effective nonetheless.Well done Brock".Ock gestured to them as they jumped down thru the hole.

Two security guards were running down the hallway they had stepped into."Hold it right there you freaks" one of them shouted as they opened fire.Venom stepped in front of Ock,Electro and Bullseye and the bullets were simply absorbed by the symbiote.Electro fired out two neat streams of electricity and melted their guns.

Venom lept at them and grabbed each of them by their throats."We hope your brains taste as good as you look" he said as he smashed their heads together.

Doc Ock was impressed.He smiled."Gentlemen you do me proud.When the Six is complete and we join Doom we will be unstoppable.But first to the matters at hand".Ock walked down the corridor and came to a room that said 'Private.Do not enter'.

He tore the door off its hinges with two tentacles.Behind the door was the generator for the whole complex."Electro fry this please.It will knock out his whole security system in one go" Ock said with a sinister smile.

"Sweeeeeeet" said Electro as he charged up and blasted the generator.Sparks flew as the lights flickered in the hallway.Doc Ock looked around and smiled.

"And now we go find the dear old Goblin and make him talk" Ock said as he snapped a tentacle claw.
Venom crouched down over the now lifeless bodies of the two OSCORP security guards who foolishly tired to stop the group of Super-Villains. He gently grabbed one of the guards round the back of the neck, raised his head up off the floor & looked at his pale, bloodied face. Venom shuck his head slowly.

What a waste. We do so hate to take an innocents life like that, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made! Nothing must stand in Our way of destroying that flying green gimp Osborne. Venom's voice begins to fill with rage once more & looked dead ahead, almost in a trance. & nothing must get in the way of Our greatest goal...to KILL that wall-crawling menace Spider-Man once & for all!!!

Venom clenched his fist tightly... *SNAP*

He looked down at his hand at the red mess.

Venom stands up & brushes himself off, flicking the thick red goo of his hand & onto the wall opposite before joining up with the rest of the group in the generator room. Just in time to see Electro fry it into a million bright sparks.

As the whole building went into darkness, Electro realised that he was again needed "Need a little light do we?" Max said as he shot up sparks from his hands getting rid of the darkness

Ben Grimm opened his eyes…he wasn’t dead.

”Guess those robots weren’t as deadly as we thought…” he says, looking around. And then, he realizes why he’s survived as he sees Photon descending from the sky. He also notices, now in the distance, Thor facing off against Doctor Doom. Although Grimm knew his move had been brash, he also knew that it would force Doom’s hand…but with Photon easing the radiation threat and now Thor engaging Doom hand-to-hand, The Thing’s move became relatively pointless.

”Hmm…this is why I’ve kept the same teammates for so long…they’d’ve realized what I was doin’ and let me do it…and that’s exactly what Johnny did. Speaking o’ Matchstick…” He thinks to himself then activates his communicator. ”Johnny, it’s me…turns out I’m fine…we’ll take care o’ things here, just do what you can back in the States.”

The Thing looks around…the droids are still attacking and being engaged by Iron Man, Photon and two other figures on winged horses.

”Gee…I wonder if they know Thor…” he comments, nonchalantly.

It seems that Photon is relatively idle, while the other combatants openly engage the droids (and destroy them), she absorbs the resulting radiation. Since Dr. Doom is now otherwise occupied with Thor, Iron Man freely uses his full array of weapons on the droids. The Asgardian warriors also have very little trouble with any force they come up against. For now, anyways, this battle seems to be shifting in favour of the heroes.

”Well…I guess it’s time to do what I do best…”

The Thing launches headlong into the latest in this long series of fights. And as he rips apart droid after droid and tank after tank he longs for a return to normalcy…or, at least, as normal as life can get when you’re a superhero.

(OOC: Before anyone gets there panties in a twist, this is a perfectly reasonable response to everything ”Doom’s” done…I’m expecting FrantikMagik to make a clearer post IC as to what exactly is happening…but just as a heads up…the President of the US, along with the U.N. Security Council and basically every other nation is declaring war on Latveria, ie Doom. The U.S. has created their own droid army and, thanks to intelligence and espionage, have surrounded all known Doom bases in America. The forces in Europe and Asia, etc. are attacking the front lines of Doom’s empire around the world.
And before anyone complains about me using the President to make such a big move, I would say it’s fair considering kang604 did, basically, the same thing when he first took over all these countries. Like I said, I think you can expect a full-on post by ”Fury” hopefully sooner than later.)

A few seconds of clam followed by gunshots and loud booming.

Cyclops runs outside and goes on the attack, keeping his distance from the Doombots.

They run to where Taskmaster and Deadpool are disguised as secret service agents.*

*Taskmaster shows the agents two guards dressed as Deadpool and Taskmaster with bullet holes through their heads.*

In light of your annexation of numerous sovereign nations and the events that took place in Seattle and various other locations around the world, the United States Congress secretly passed a measure writing a virtually blank cheque to a half-dozen of the leading weapons and arms corporations under the supervision and leadership of Stark Industries. Their initiative was to create an army to rival your own. Thanks to the work of some of the brightest minds in the world today, and with many groundbreaking contributions by Tony Stark, himself, we now have that army.

In addition to this, in conjunction with the United Nations, we have comparable forces on standby in a number of nations in Europe, Asia and Africa, waiting for orders.

Also, a number of SHIELD divisions, including Intelligence, Espionage and Psi, have been working overtime and have located a handful of your facilities here on American soil. Luckily for us, due to the size of your operations, you had to choose remote locations and anyone within one hundred miles of your compounds have been evacuated. As we speak, you are no doubt being given word that each of these known facilities is now being surrounded by our own robot forces. According to our intelligence, our forces number yours approximately 2-1. There’s no way out, Doom…

We also have a full compliment of units enroute to engage your force in California.

Here are the conditions…

First of all, your forces in America will be forfeit as punishment for the attack on Seattle…we will destroy, dismantle or confiscate all equipment we find and all human personnel will be immediately incarcerated, pending trial.

Secondly, you will retreat your forces across Europe, Asia and Africa back to Latveria, forfeiting all the territory you’ve acquired in your recent conquests.”

Fury looked directly into his monitor, dead serious.

”Seeing as how you’ve already begun your attack here, the President has declared war on you. Without a full and unconditional surrender, you can expect us, very soon, to be bringing World War III to your doorstep…”

Now, he leaned in closer…dropping his voice to a near-whisper…

”We’re not kidding around, Doom…it’s over.”

Fury sat back…satisfied that Doom had no recourse. It was only a matter of time before the Doctor’s simultaneous surrender and retreat.

[OOC: Kang…these droids we have built are at least equal to yours (impervious to EMPs and the like) and due to the fact that it’s basically the whole world against you, we have the means to keep it numerically superior and, obviously, the designs are constantly changing and evolving.]

OOC: Alright, just so everyone knows, I'm gonna give a brief overview of the major events transpiring currently in the thread.

War has broken out across the globe. "Allied" forces with a somewhat comparable army to Doom have engaged his armies everywhere. There is an army engaging Doom's robots in California. Their are also American droid armies engaging a handful of Doom's hideouts within the U.S.
Basically all fronts of Doom's current empire in Europe, Asia and the Middle East are under attack.
The President has appeared on TV declaring war on Doom, only to be now in the custody of Deadpool and Taskmaster who are under contract from Doom to kill him. Fury's gonna try and get there in time but I'm not too sure I like his chances.
The X-Men are in Cali...along with The Human Torch and Blade...fighting against Doom's army and doing what they can to protect the innocents.
In Latveria, Doom is currently occupied in a fist fight with Thor...I'm not entirely sure he's heard Fury's address to him.
Speaking of which, Fury has informed Doom of the resistance he now faces and has demanded from Doom a full surrender...
Thing, Photon and Iron Man are currently in Latveria fighting robots...
Doc Ock and his thugs:D(that is Electro, Venom, Bullseye) have broken into Oscorp looking for the Green Goblin who has placed a bounty on there heads. Osborn's hiding trying to get himself equipped to fight.
Wolverine is also lurking around this situation, he's going after Doc Ock (to be honest, I can't exactly remember the reason, right now.)
I know, at one point, Spiderman, Punisher and Ghost Rider were all involved in some kind of fight with Gobby so they won't be too far away...
Magneto doesn't seem to be getting much action...except for GG trying to recruit him to run errands for him...LOL.

So, there you have it. War around the world...and a couple sub-plots...

He waits until the camera does one last pass and then dives into the copter and locks the doors. Not much but it'll do until I can peice together a plan...going in there against those four psychos alone with no plan....fool harty at best...need time to think

Doom turned to face his new attacker and scowled. " You... " he whipped his cloak back across his shoulders, raising his palms towards Thor.

In his mask, a radio message buzzed through. " Sir, panic has stricken across the empire. Our forces in America have been engaged, Latveria is under attack, all of your fronts are being pushed back, the president has declared war on our nation, and Nick Fury of SHIELD has demanded surrender of - "

Doom clicked off his radio in rage. Meddling heroes should know their place... he roared at Thor.

" YOU DARE DEFY ME?! THE FACT THAT YOU ARE GOD ASGARDIAN DOES NOTHING TO IMPRESS DOOM! YOU HAVE ONLY SUCCEEDED IN ANGERING THE HAND THAT WILL BEAR YOUR DEATH! IT IS ONLY INEVITABLE THAT I TAKE MY PLACE AT THE HELM OF THIS PLANET! RECOGNIZE THIS THOR, FOR I AM DOOM, A TRUE GOD AMONGST MEN!! "

Doom was livid with anger. His plans were falling apart and he was stuck fending off an attack from none other than Thor. Doom knew of Thor's strength, what he was capable of... he knew that in terms of raw, unadulterated power, Thor was the best of the best.

But Doom didn't care. He was furious. All of the work, all of the time he had put into accomplishing what he had achieved was being torn apart by the likes of these so-called "heroes"... these costumed hooligans with dillusions of granduer and moral responsbility. People who didnt recognize greatness when it stood in front of them, resplendent in green robes and an impenetrable armor. People who didnt recognize the accomplishments of a man who with only an iron will and his genius intellect had gone toe-to-toe with every government, army, hero, and god in the known universe, and was not only still standing, but triumphant. People who didnt acknowledge the wrath of DOOM. People.... like Thor.

Doom's brow furrowed and his rage boiled over. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew the smart thing to do was to retreat... to re-organize his forces and maintain order within his ranks. But then again, that was in the back of his mind. What was in the front was taking out all of his frustrations, all of his anger out on the costumed vigilantes who had caused all these problems.

Starting with Thor.

With a roar, Doom lunged at Thor, palms out, firing blast after blast right at the Asgardian's head...

OOC: Doom has confronted Thor one-on-one. Just for reference's sake, without the leadership of Victor, the Latverian forces are in complete disarray and are begin to weaken and buckle under the pressure of the American/Stark Industries Forces, SHIELD forces, The Avengers and the X-Men. (damn, thats alot of people gunnin at me lol)

The Blackbird was about to land.
"California, this is the Xjet. We're landing now a few miles from the battlesite."
Scott turns to his teammates.
"Alright, from the analysis of these things, we have to keep our distance. Maybe we can use Doom's own Life destroying Technology against him. Rouge, your powers will probaly make you resitent to them, just be careful. Bobby and I can hit them from a distance. As for you, Betsy, find Doom and subdue him. I don't care what methods you use."
The Blackbird lands. Scott turns on the defense systems.
A few seconds of clam followed by gunshots and loud booming.
'XMEN! GO!"
Cyclops runs outside and goes on the attack, keeping his distance from the Doombots.

"You want me to fight him all by myself? joked Psylocke

*Seconds after the president delivers his televised message from Camp David two gun shots are heard echoing off in the distance. The President is instructed to get inside one of the facilites while four secret service agents go to see what "that noise" was. They run to where Taskmaster and Deadpool are disguised as secret service agents.*

Agent 1: What's going on?
Agent 2: What happened here?

*Taskmaster shows the agents two guards dressed as Deadpool and Taskmaster with bullet holes through their heads.*

"Look at what they did to my face!! See!?!"

*The guards recoil in horror as they gaze upon Wade's difigured mug.*

TM: "I think these are the same assassins who attacked the white house."

Agent 1: Are they dead?

"Well, if the blood and brains oozing out of their heads is any indication, I'd say that's a rousing affirmative."

Agent 3: You two are hero's.

*Agent 3 calls on the radio to the Presidents personal guards at tells them what happened. The President radios the agent back personaly.*

President: Bring them here so that I can personally thank them.

*Deadpool and Taskmaster follow the agents to where the president is being safe guarded. Deadpool whispers to Taskmaster...*

"Does that thing come with a DNA scanner?"

OOC: Sorry Spike if I'm bunnying you too much. And nobody ever said where the prez gave his telecast, so there ya go.OOC: I don't mind the bunnying at all. I haven't been able to get on here as much as I want to lately, so I have to make this as brief as possible.

IC: As Taskmaster and Deadpool reach the president's location, Taskmaster answers Deadpool.

"Unfortunately, no. But either way, we're probably gonna be fighting our way out of here."

TM and DP are escorted into the President's office. The President is showing a warm smile to his "rescuers."

Prez: "I'd like to thank you both for maintaining the safety of this installation." The President notices the scarring on DP's face. "Don't worry about your face, son. I'll be sure to give you the best medical treatment money can buy."

Taskmaster smirks. "Too bad 'the best treatment money can buy' won't be nearly enough to save your ass."

TM deactivates his holographic disguise and hurls his shield around the room, disabling the guards surrounding them. He then pulls out his uzi and presses it against the President's forehead.

OOC: Can we kill this guy yet? Or is somebody going to instantly pop into the room and somehow take the prez away from the area before DP or TM can even fire a shot?

”Hey Photon…how fast can you get back to California? Something tells me you should be there protecting people from the radiation. This battle here is pointless, Thor’s keeping Doom busy and I think his buddys can do enough to keep these tin can’s busy.” Grimm wasn’t usually the one calling the shots, but if he had to, he was a natural leader. ”Tony, why don’t you and I get to England…a little birdy in my ear’s telling me we’d be more useful there.



Photon, taking out another robot turns towards Ben's voice. "Yeah. You're right. Meet you back in england afterwards." she pauses for a second to wave goodby, then leaving a light trail behind her streaks off.

Arriving in california within seconds Photon quickly proceeds to do the absorb the radiation their in the same matter she did in Lativia. Stopping a few times to discharge the now transformed energy into space where it lights up the sky for miles around.

"Damn. I'm starting to feel like a light bub here." she thinks to herself.

As Photon continues dealing with the radiation around califormia she notices the X-men's jet enters the airspace some distance away.

"If things wheren't interresting enough" she thinks to herself and continues with her work.

*The Fantasti-car soars above San Francisco, now in ruins. Johnny can barely hold his rage at the site of fallen houses, buildings, and landmarks. His blood boils as he witnesses hundreds of fallen bodies as he and Blade pass Market, Broadway and the Embarcadero. Upon entering highway 101, he notices civilian automobiles racing across the lanes. This relieved Johnny a little knowing that there was still signs of life. There was also a reason why those cars were speeding. They were running away from Doom’s droids. He speeds the Fantasi-car along the chase and presses a combination of buttons near the steering wheel, warming up the negative zone generators. Johnny drives the Fantasi-car in front of the on-coming droids, blocking them from the speeding cars.*

“You know guys with the Bay Area’s booming Real Estate and overpopulation, I can recommend an area that is inexpensive and has plenty of space, and it’s called the negative zone.”

*Johnny presses the trigger button and a portal the size of a garage opens directly in front of the Fantasti-car, the portal sucks in the droids, and while Johnny releases the button the portal immediately closes. Then he turns to Blade.*

“Dude, within the compartments of the fantasti-car go find a levitation belt. Jump out and try to kick, punch, or whatever you do best to those droids and direct them to the front of the Fantasti-car. I’ll open the portal and it will suck them in. Try not to get in front the car, and also warn people if you see them. I’ll also contact the X-men and who is ever here to help about the portal.”

*Johnny contacts the other Heroes who are helping in California about the portal on the commincator.*

Within a matter of seconds, Blade takes out his throwing knife and instantaneity beheads all the droids, grabs the family of three and flies away. Then Johnny swoops in with the fantasti-car, opens the portal to suck in the droids before they emit their deadly radiation.*

Bullseye was standing in Oscorp with Doctor Octopus, Venom and Electro, awaiting instructions from The Doc, when he heard one of the dead guard's radios go off. It was Osborn on the other end, asking for Mattie. Looking at his teammates cautiously, Bullseye picked up the radio, answering Osborn:

"I'm sorry, Norman, Mattie's a little bit too dead to talk right now. Maybe you'd like to have a chat with me."

Osborn started to say something, but Bullseye cut him off.

"Shut your mouth, Osborn, and listen to me. Our little team-up was fun, but I've found some better friends to play with. But we have a little problem. You see, you have something we want. You have J Jonah Jameson and Mary Jane Parker, we want them. You can keep granny if you want, but we want those two."

Osborn began to utter some protests, but again Bullseye cut him off.

"This isn't a goddamn negotiation, Norman! Do you know who I'm working for now? None other than Dr Doom, the man who will be rulin' the world by this time next week. If you screw with us, there will be nowhere to hide. No hole is gonna be deep enough to stop us from findin' your rich-prick ass, do you understand me?"

There was silence on the other end of the line. Bullseye could only hear Osborn's breathing. He would take that as a yes.

"So, if you want to live to be an old man with a supermodel trophy wife who only wants you for your will, you're gonna do what I say. Bring Mary-Jane and Jameson to Oscorp. No back up, just you. If you give us what we want, we'll let you live. If you don't show up, you're gonna be as dead as your halfwit son!"

Before Osborn could say anything, Bullseye switched off the radio and threw it to the ground, on top of the dead Mattie. He turned round to his teammates and gave them a thumbs-up. Things were coming along nicely. Very nicely indeed.

Thor is pelted with blasts of energy. He is thrust back and as Doom runs at him in blind rage Thor kicks him back with both legs.

Thor roared with anger. He wanted to stop this menace. He lunged at Doom and before Doom could blast him again he grabbed his left wrist and twisted it. A bone snapped in Doom's wrist sending him writhing in agony. Thor then threw the armored mad man to the ground.

"This is for the innocents that are dying by your hand as we speak!"

Thor walks toward Doom ready for another attack.

Doom howled in agony from the fracture in his arm. It wasn't a complete break, but something had definitely snapped... He bit his lower lip to steel himself from the pain and stood up regaining his composure and facing Thor once again.

He grinned. " Dying by my hand, Thor? How foolish you are. I provided you with a peaceful means to end this conflict, that wouldnt have resulted in the death of the innocent... for understand one thing Thunder God, Doom does not revel in murder. I gave you the oppurtunity, and you tossed it aside. These innocents die by your hand Asgardian, not mine. "

Doom caught his breath and took to the air, jet packs firing. From his armor, he produced dozens of tiny explosive devices and hurled them at Thor, while releasing blasts of concussive force from his palms...

Taskmaster turns his head to Deadpool.

"Well, I'm not gonna wait around for some super-government idiot to pop in here, thinking he's Bruce Willis and stop us."

Taskmaster pulls the trigger, sending a bullet into the President's skull and coming out the back.

"I guess the job's partially complete. All we've gotta do now is get the hell out of here and get payed."

Suddenly, the secret service comes bursting into the office, guns firing at them.

"Yeeaahh...now would be a good time for that 'get the hell out of here' part."

Taskmaster and Deadpool start firing at the agents. Taskmaster shields himself from the return fire with his energy shield.

"We leave. NOW!"

Taskmaster pulls out a compact flamethrower and sprays the agents, then, with Deadpool, does a backflip through a window, landing on the lawn. They both sprint into the surrounding trees with agents firing at them. A bullet hits Taskmaster in the right thigh, sending him to the ground.

"Wilson! Fire the missile launcher!"

Dr. Stephen Strange drifted through the Astral Plane. He had been away from the Prime Plane (i.e. Earth) for only a few weeks, but had begun to feel homesick. Odd , he thought, I have strayed from Earth for much longer than this, and I have never before felt such an overwhelming need to return.

"Perhaps I should return," he said aloud, though within the Astral landscape he made no sound, "lest something terrible happened in my absence."

With that, Stephen Strange began to make his way back to his home plane.

[Doc Destruction]

As Bullseye and Venom banter back and forth, there is a blinding flash as Wolverine bursts into the room, taking Ock by surprise and picking him up and slamming him through the window out into the early morning air. As they plummet to the ground, Wolverine pulls Ock close to his face.

"Heya Doc...remember me?"

[Mr. Green]

Thor was pelted by explosives and concussive force. Thor was slipping into a state of mind known in his native land of Asgard as the beserker rage. Some warriors know this state of mind as well. It numbs the pain, it makes weakness into strength, and it makes what was once thought as impossible, possible. Thor jumped behind a boulder, not for protection, but to use as a weapon. He lifted the rock and hurled it into the air. The explosives blew it to bits sending the rocks flying into Dr. Doom's face, blinding him.

"I SAY THEE NAY!"

Doom, dissoriented, loses altitude while the enraged Asgardian hurls himself at Doom. Thor tackles Doom and they both slam into the ground. Thor grabs Doom by the throat.

"Thou art a coward! Excuses! Innocents will die because they do not except your rule! Not a good enough of a reason Doom! Raaagghh! DIE!"

Thor grabs Doom's head with both hands and slams it into the ground.

Daredevil sat in the copter and realized, Sooner or later things are not going to be so cozy here...okay I think I got an idea for the time being but it's going to require split second timing and some strong piping in the stairwell ceiling

He listened for the security camera to whir by one more time. Once it was past him he throws his billyclub at the camera and angles it so that it richochets back to his hand. Daredevil dives on top of the roof of the stairwell and crouches down like a cougar waiting to strike.

He then hears the sound he has been waiting for ..ANY AVAILIBLE SECURITY TO THE ROOF CODE 2....ANY AVAILIBLE SECURITY TO THE ROOF CODE 2 Daredevil then hears footsteps charging up the stairs and the door opens. He hears the guards approaching the camera as the door closes.

One of them says, "Security operations this is Hudson, looks like another bird has nailed the camera call maintence and terminate us from this call. "

Daredevil hears the Hudson enter the security code on the door followed by a gentle beep. He waits until the door closes. Okay gotta move now before maintence arrives

He flips off of the roof and touches the security code pad. He feels the electronic pulses and the oils of where Hudson's finger was... Okay I get one shot at this..here goes He enters in what he believes is the code and once he is done he hears a gentle beep.

Daredevil enters the building just before the camera passes by him. He fires his billyclub cable at the piping in the stairwell ceiling and pulls himself up and grabs onto the piping. Okay what next? I hope Peter never finds out that I have stolen one of his tricks he'd never let me live it down.

"Well well well one of the misfits from the X-Men.Of course I remember you Logan.It's hard to forget such an ugly mug.I was so hoping you had drowned when I knocked SHIELD out of the sky.But alas it seems not to be" Ock said as he raised his 2 upper tentacles and pointed them at Wolverine.

"But never mind.It means I have the personal pleasure of killing you myself" he laughed as he opened fire as a hail of bullets came from his tentacle claws.

*Fury, who landed minutes ago, aims his sniper at Deadpool's head and fires*

"Die you mutant freak.DIE!!!" Ock shouted.

Max ran to the side of the building and looked over the broken window. "Umm... should we help him?" He said as he turned back to the others. "Well I'm join in!" Max jumped down. "Hi umm... Wolverine isn't it? Adamantium bones? Well here's a science lesson for ya pal! Your in for a shock cause metal conducts electricity!" and with that, Electro let loose vicious energy bolts on wolverine

Watching the chunks of concrete and the electric blasts coming his way, Logan timed his move to coincide with the blasts hitting the concrete chunks, before dodging out of the way.

"Ah crud, where's Web-head when you need him." Wolverine thinks as he activates his Avengers homing beacon. "Well, better do what I can I suppose."

Wolveine leaps onto an abandoned car tire lying in the alley. Picking up the now broken chunks of concrete, Wolverine begins baseball pitching them at Electro and Octopus.

"Now, now, Green Jeans...your boyfriend and I here were having a nice, private chat."

Ben Grimm arrived in England by Fantasticar…more specifically, he arrived in Portsmouth where, roughly 60 years ago, the original Operation Overlord was launched from.

At this very moment, with dawn drawing near, Allied forces are on the verge of embarking on a similar mission…it is time for D-Day II.

”Everything ready, General?” Grimm asks as he approaches the commanding officer overseeing final assembly for the invasion.

”Yes, sir, Mr. Grimm…we’re happy to have you onboard…we have located a large piece of lead as per your request…” Just then, The Thing looks over to see the large sheet being unloaded from a truck (OOC: if anyone cares, the dimensions are roughly seven feet by five feet…about seven or eight inches thick).

”Perfect…get me one of your engineers for a couple minutes, wouldja? We’re going to need to fix ’er up a bit here…”

”No problem…McAuley!” The officer calls to one of the men assisting with last-minute preparations on one of the tanks, ”Get over here…I’d like to introduce you to Mr. Grimm….you’re going to be helping him with a very special project.”

”Awright, kid, let’s go.” The Thing and the engineer move towards an unused hangar, "You mind grabbing that?" Grimm looks at the timid soldier. "Just kidding..." says Grimm picking up the piece of metal as they walk by.

For the second time in a day, the leader of the United States appears before the American public on television…this time, it’s the Vice-President. Appearing from an unknown location.

”Good evening, America.
I have just received tragic and disturbing news. This evening, after the President made his public address announcing the declaration of war on Latveria and Dr. Doom, a pair of highly-trained assasins infiltrated Camp David and ruthlessly put to death this country’s Commander-in-Chief.
Our intelligence tells us that these assasins acted under the order of Victor Von Doom, himself.
I can’t give any further details concerning this as it is now under investigation and is strictly confidential.
Needless to say our prayers are with the President’s family tonight and I would like to express the deepest sadness from myself, personally, and everyone else in this administration and, I’m sure, the world.
However, I do have a message for Doom. You may believe that such tactics will frighten the world off of opposing you, but you are wrong. This egregious act will only serve to strenghten the resolve of, not only this administration, but the citizens of this country as well as our allies around the world. And before someone takes issue about the VP saying they don't know Doom's behind it, remember that the U.S. is now in a war with Doom and even if they don't know it explicitly, they may suspect it, and saying it can only help to turn people against Doom.)

Back in England, the huge hangar door slides open. An odd couple of The Thing and an Army engineer emerge. It had taken no more than thrity minutes, thanks to The Thing’s raw strength, for the pair to fashion the piece of lead into a massive, rounded shield. One that Ben hoped would do enough to protect him from the inevitable blasts of radiation.

The Thing would be the first on onto the beach…and he hoped he could cause enough distractions and problems for Doom’s force that the Allied units coming ashore would have a chance at gaining control of the valuable, strategic territory.

The forces were now ready…The Thing loaded himself into a boat and they began there journey across the English Channel…in a few hours, they would be landing in Normandy…hopefully, with similar results to their historic counterparts.

Stephen had arrived on Earth at about the same time Ben Grimm landed in England. His manservant, Wong, filled him in on the current situation immediately.
"Hmmm," Strange muttered, "it seems that the Sorceror Supreme has returned at a crucial time." He turned to Wong, "Wong," Strange said, "do what you can to aid the people in this area, I will need to get to the heart of this matter post haste."

"As you wish." Wong replied.

Smiling at his servant, no, his friend, Stephen Strange turned waved his hand in the air, and stepped through the swirling violet gateway he had created. The portal disappeared a moment later.

Spider-man noticed the Avengers beacon going off.

"Looks like old fur head can't take care of himself and needs the Amazing Spider-man to save the day. Well, he's got it."

Spider-man web slings through the city towards Logan and Dock Ock.

"Spider-man, spider-man, does whatever a spider can. Spins a web, any size-" Spider-man whips out a large net webbing, attempting to trap Bullseye.

"Catches theives just like flies!" Spider-man sang as he swung towards Doc Ock...

Daredevil hears the ensuing mayhem within the building and realizes who is causing Ock a lot of stress in the alley below. Logan! He's gonna need help... Screw covert...Osbprn wants me let him come and get me...besides after listening to his clowns on the roof...they make Ock's guys look like a Delta Force unit.

Daredevil drops down the stairwell and enters a corridor. Just then a security guard comes around the corner. He yells, "STOP!" Daredevil replies, "Not a bad idea...now you drop & roll!" With that he nails the guard in the knee with his billyclub the guard drops and grabs his knee mumbling.....things that aren't exactly FCC approved. Daredevil grabs the guard by his collar and says, "Sevurity command center...where is it?"

The guard says, "Get lost freak!"

He grabs his billy club and hits the guard in the other knee. He says, "Now that you have a matching set....Tell me where security command center is or I start on your arms."

The guard says, "Down one more flight 3rd door on your left...but you'll never get in it's got an electronic code pad and a password verifier."

Daredevil knocks the guard out and says, "We'll see about that." He heads back down the stairs and finds the security center. He begins tapping on the door with his billyclub. When the door opens Daredevil smells gunpowder realizing that the guard has his sidearm drawn. Daredevil nails the guard in his hand and then knocks him out as well.

His partner at the control panel begins to draw out his gun but Daredevil fires his billyclub cable around the guard's throat. Daredevil says, "Drop it! Now!" As he tightens the cable the guard drops his gun. Daredevil then says, "All-right you have one job right now...activate the building's internal sprinkler system now." The guard give him a blank look. Daredevil repeats, "Activate the internal sprinkler system now...and I promise you'll live."

The guard activates the internal sprinklers and every room in the building begins getting showered with water. Daredevil says, "Good job! thank you." He pulls the guard over with his cable and knocks him out.

Daredevil listens and is able to pinpoint Ock & Electro. Time to even the odds a little bit more He races to their location and then stops just before he enters their room. He stands outside the door. He takes a deep breath and then kicks the door down while firing his cable around Ock's neck. He then says, "Hello Otto! remmeber me...this time you don't have nuclear reactor to do your dirty work for you." He tightens the cable around his throat and says, "Now back off!" He tightens again and yells, "BACK OFF!"

"Arghhhhh" Ock snarls in pain as the cable tightens around his neck.His 2 upper tentacles continue to fire bullets at Logan.One of Ock's lower tentacles shoots up and grabs the cable and snaps it.

Ock falls to his knees gasping for breath.His knee is throbbing in pain from Logan's attack.Ock looks at Daredevil and frowns.

"You're the last person I expected to see here.But I'm not without compassion.Where would you like your body sent? Once I've removed your head for my trophy room" Ock snarls as he lunges a tentacle at DD at grips him by the neck.

"How do you like the squeeze??" Ock asked as he slammed DD into the wall and tossed him off the building.

Ock laughs.Suddenly his tentacles hiss.The A.I. is warning him of something.But it's too late.He turns just as Spider-Man lands on him.They fall over the building.Ock's tentacles are scraping against the building.They come to a halt half way down.

Ock's tentacles grab Spider-Man and coil themselves around him."Well well look who it is.And to think I was here for your benefit and here you are.You fall right into my lap" Ock says with a smile as he coils his tentacles tighter around Spider-Man.

"I understand you're missing some relatives Spider-Man.Or should I say Peter Parker?"

"Hey DD long time no see!" Said Max even though he new that in the last 5 hours or so, he'd fought with DD twice. "I'm afraid that I'm not gona let you have the Doc, he's kind of an ally." Saying this, Electro lept up high and hovered above DD. "Hey look at this little thingy on my chest Devil. It makes you dead! Handy isn't it!".
DD was now falling off the buliding. "Take this!" Electro shouted as he threw a huge ball of energy at him.

Sorry, Sable. It's just that I figured that you wouldn't be able to fight the Doombots because you only have short range powers and telepathy dosent affect them. If you got too close you would have been killed. I thought that Doom was at California so I told you to go and subdue him, to give you something to do that was slightly less life threatening. I thought you could use your telepathy or knife, dosent matter which. I figured that Rogue's durability could let her withstand the Bots and that Iceman and I can attack them from a distance. Just do as you will.

Cyclops lets Iceman fire and freeze the Doombots. Then Scott fires a dead on Optic Blast, shattering the Ice and the Bots before they can give off the radiation.

With only one tentacle holding him now, the pressure was slightly slackened.

Up until now, Venom had been watching all the commotion between Doc Ock, Electro, Wolverine & Daredevil from through the broken window in the OSCORP generator room. Doc & Electro seemed to be doing just fine & Venom didn't see the point in waiting his energy on them. He was saving that energy some someone very special! & then he arrived. Spider-Man decided to stick his webbed nose in where it wasn't wanted. Venom decided he'd saved his energy long enough & it was time to burn some of it off.
Venom put his fingers together, stretched & cracked them satisfyingly. Venom smiles with delight & rests a hand on Bullseyes shoulder.

Well Bullseye, don't know about you, but We're going to join in with that party down there.

Venom jumped up & croutched down on the broken window ledge & looked down. We saw Doc Ock holding Spidey by the neck with one of his tentacles, the others wrapped around his body. Never the less, Venom wanted a piece of the wall-crawler!

Here Spidey, Spidey Spidey...

Venom flung himself down towards the prone Spider-Man, arms out, mouth open & tongue flapping in the wind.

Venom connected with Spider-Man with a dull thud. Venom hit Spider-Man enough force to knock him outta Doc Ock's grip, catching them both off guard. They both hit the hard ground below with a loud crack & chunks of concrete fly off in all directions.

"Lets dance you pale imitation." Spider-man said, imitating the karate kid's crance stance(one foot raised, arms spread out to the sides)

He then moved down the side of the building and into the Oscorp building thru a window."And now to find Osborn's labs" Ock said as he moved down the corridor on two tentacles.

Dodging the blasts, Wolverine realizes after a few seconds that no one is paying attention to him any longer. Smirking, he asseses the situation and heads back up the wall to the roof, and creeps behind Electro.

The Symbiote suit swallowed up Eddie's head & he was Venom again. Venom leaped up onto the wall, above Spider-Man, & lunge onto the wall. He smiled & looked down Spider-Man.

We're going to enjoy this.

The wall Venom is stuck to suddenly gives way beneath him.

Uh oh!!!

Venom scrambles to try & cling onto anything! He fires out a web-line to a part of the wall that’s still standing, which zips Venom up & around into the air. Venom does a back flip before heading straight back down towards Spidey, where he connects with a double footed drop-kick to his chest, sending Spidey flying.

Strike one Spider-Punk!!!

"NOOOOOOO!" Max screamed as the sparks flew from the device. He grabbed Logan by the hand and threw him hard into the concrete ground. "Damn it!" He unclicked the belt from his chest and threw it into the coppter, the Doc could fix it later. He would have to play this one a bit weaker. "Your'e gona pay for that one you freak!" Electro went all loose on Wolverine

Spider-man goes flying through the air, but shoots a webline to stop, and imitates Venom's flip to stabilize.

"Poor Venom. Why did you hide when I swung in? Why did you wait until Ock had me in his death grip? Were you afraid? Well we're out in the open now,with no Ock to help you." Spider-man said. He then launched two web balls at Venom...

Venom moved to the side & dodged the 1st web-ball but the 2nd one got him right in the face, covering up his eyes.

Venom let out a loud cry & clawed at the webbing on his face. He ripped it off & was pissed 'cos Spidey mad him look foolish.

Bah! We don't need Doc Ock, or anyone else to deal with you Spider-Man. We can handle this ourselves! & what was that you just said about being able to do things better then us? Well, We'll have to see about that wont we?!?

Venom launched two of his own web-balls at Spidey, twice as big as the ones he fired at him.

Spider-man dodged the first web ball, but like Venom, got caught in the 2nd one and it wrapped him up from neck to toe. Spider-man fell like a brick.

"See? I even got more tied up then you!" Spider-man said and strained to try and break the webbing as he fell...

Norman glided to his company a battle royal “One is this Super villaincorp” Norman used his Binoculars to see what was happing The Sinister Six, Wolverine, Dare-Devil and Spiderman, the lucky day, but he’ll have to take sides Spider-man and the s6 wanted him dead but Spider-man’s a hero he’ll help you without killing you but would have to lie thou he glided to Oscorp for the battle

Venom laughs to himself when he see's Spidey all webbed up.

Venom fires out a web-line which sticks to the webbing covering Spider-Man, Venom pulled back hard on the web-line, bringing Spidey back up towards him.
Spider-Man gets within arms reach, when Venom connects with a vicious right hook, sending Spidey crashing to the floor below. Which splits the webbing around him open.

And Venom knocks that one out the park!

Spider-man shakes his head...'Venom is strong...I can't keep it up this way. I need to trick him.'

"Venom, thanks for unwrapping me. Its your birthday!" Spider-man says.
