Within a few minutes, Osborn and Kingsley arrived at a huge loft Kingsley had been working on for quite some time.

Aside from being a veritable fortress, it now housed a wide array of criminal plots Kingsley had been working on as per his partnership with Osborn.

"Norman, let's discuss this in detail"
Kingsley turned on his holographic display, showing New York City.
"You are currently working to acquire our allies Bullseye, Electro and Sandman as subordinates for this plan. They will all be handsomely rewarded monetarily for their services, and I'm sure you've mentioned that they will be held on retainer for the duration of our plot. However, considering the billion dollars you've offered each of them, I doubt they'll have any arguments. The five of us are Generals so to speak. (though I mean that lightly, as Electro and Sandman never struck me as great leaders!) Each will command four of our new Goblin Centurions, as well as the new Goblin Army. Each Centurion commands four subordinate Goblins, sure they don't exactly live up to the CENTURY part, but you can't win em all. That puts each of us in charge of 24 fully armed Goblins. Mind you they're no match for either of us, but they'll be more than capable of doing their jobs. But that's rather expository."

"The 125 of us will set out in five corps. 3 air corps consisting of yours, mine, and Electro's, all on Gliders, 2 ground corps lead by Bullseye and Sandman armed with all the battle vans and heavy motorcycles I can muster."

"The underlying plan is to kill, bomb, maim, electrocute, smother and destroy every living thing they come accross in the span of 10 minutes. I'm guessing with a little luck the death toll could hit 20,000, and the damages in the decabillions. Upon completion of those 10 minutes of senseless violence, they return to their respective hideouts and wait for further instructions."

"THEN the fun begins, hijacking the major news networks we state that if we don't receive 100 billion dollars by wire transfer from the combined resources of all of New York, we will start our rampage anew on Wall Street. The beauty of this plan is that our deadline will be in only a few hours, and rather than organizing to pay the amount, all of Wallstreet's major corporations will start transfering us huge incriments of money, and like a demonic telethon they'll likely more than eclipse our demans just to save their greedy asses!"

"When does the plan start?" Norman interjected

"Soon My freind, My Freind ver soon ." Roderick cackled as he walked to the Goblin Gear behind them.

It was going to be a fun day for those two.

Norman looked at Roderick, All he was a key to power in Roderick, in a few days he will start a riot and chaos will come, He got out his Goblin armour and put it on.

”I can’t wait for this to work” Norman whispered to himself.

Looked at the goblin army They we’re each special rank, and different colour:

Air Commander

Air trooper

Ground Trooper

Ground Commander

“Must say I am Impressed Time will tell how this we be the Biggest I have ever done “

The Goblin was going too do this and he was going to this with getting to Spider-Man, but The Avengers and the X-men will be after him, but it didn’t matter he would have Manhattan in his hands. The Goblin said

“Well Rodrick we will have this plan ready but later on, this will be the way SPIDERMAN WILL DIE !“

OOC: Hey all I'm back to make my season 1 finale post.

Max Dillon lay on his bed looking out the window. Arm around a sleeping hooker who was closely cuddeld beside him.
A little trickle of light was shining weakly through the window. Looking back on the past events of today, his eyes screwed up from what light was getting to them.
Suddenly out of the window came a bright burst of light. Putting his hand over his eyes to act as a shield, he walked up to the window and gazed out. He couldn't see much but he could make out some fiery wings. Weird.
In his amazement, he didnt notice the phone ring for a couple of seconds. Then almost jumping at the sound of it he looked around. Wading through a litter filled apartment, he eventually reached the phone and picked it up.
"Yeh?"
"Hello I pressume this is a Maxwell Dillon?" Came a voice from the phone
"Yeh that's me" Said Max staring forward out of the window at the bright light.
"Mr Dillon I am a man in need of your unqiue talents. Talents which are above the ordinary."
"Who is this?" Demanded Max
"Please Mr Dillon, please. One does not prefer to make his true identity apparent at this time." Max frowned. He hated it when it was like that. For all he knew he was working for the Blob.
Nether the less he responded "What would you like me to do?"
"I would like to meet you in person Mr Dillon. Or should I say... Electro?" This brought a smile to Max's face. He was back in buisness. " Now the place we will meet at is quite secluded no need to worry. And this is no ambush Mr Dillon I assure you. Our meeting will happen tomorrow at 2:30am. Best leave it early in the morning. Meet me at the abadoned weapons factory down near the bridge closest to you. Come alone Mr Dillon. That is all. Goodbye" And with that, the phone started to give out a neverlasting beep.
Max put the phone down. The smile still on his lips. The next morning he entered the factory. 15 minutes later, he emerged fully clothed.

2 days later...

Doom tired of these games. He knew that what he was about to do would put him through a great deal of physical pain, but that would be far better than being humilated by these pathetic gnats.

"Victor Von Doom bows to no one!"

With a snarl, Doom set on the jet propellers on his boots to full blast. Since he was upside-down, this sent him headfirst through the floor.

Staggering to his feet, Dr Doom realised he was in another lab. Quickly accessing his computer system, he triggered the self-destruct system. Doom would make his grand retreat, while these fools would die before they even knew what hit them. In five minutes, Castle Doom would be destroyed. But hopefully these meddlers would be going down with it...

Before Doom could finish his train of thought, he heard a crumbling sound overhead. He looked up just in time to see another section of ceiling overhead collapse. The rubble landed on top of Doom, sending him through another section of floor and leaving him buried in a pile of rubble in the floor beneath. Would be able to escape Castle Doom before the self-destruct sequence he initiated destroyed the place? Or would this be the end of Victor Von Doom?

OOC: Well, that's all the Doom I'll be writing for now. Kang and take over when he gets back. if he wants to continue as Doom, he can have Doom escape. If not, he can leave it open-ended, so someone else can take over if need be. Moving on, when will we have Mary-Jane's funeral? I want a chance to make my last post as Bullseye as well...

:::In the courtyard of Xavier's mansion, there are a few rows of folding chairs. White. A fountain is seen down the isle. In front of that fountain is a white oak coffin. The coffin is closed, with flowers atop of it. Professor Xavier wheels himseld to the center.:::

"Good afternoon. No. I cannot lie. This is not a good afternoon. This is a horrible, sad, depressing afternoon. I lost a child. We all lost a friend. We are all here because he all share a commen love for one person. The woman lying in that coffin. A beautiful woman. A powerful woman. A....perfect woman. I am proud to call her my daughter, even if she is not so proud to call me her father. All i could ask is that she would call me her friend."
:::He goes to the coffin.:::

:::He begins crying anyway:::
"But(sob)If we are going to cry anyway(sob)...what does it matter right?"
:::He opens the coffin and sits by it.He turns around still crying, but smiling.
"This is not a good afternoon at all....its better" he said to himself.

Sabretooth stands just a few feet from the woods so he can see the funeral.

"It was a pain "burrowing" the helicopter from genosha without Magneto knowing but its worth it.I've always respected Jean's strength and power, it was a shame she was brought down by a giant piece of metal."

He can see that more heroes are starting to appear so he starts to back away deeper into the forrest. He takes one last look towards the casket and sheds a single tear.

"Heaven help the Sentinals if they ever come to Genosha, because the first hundred Sentinals I destroy is for her!"

He turns away and walks into the forest, a few minutes later a helicopter rises from a clearing a few miles in the forest. Sabretooth heads back to Genosha.

Bobby Drake sat in the front row, trying his best to hold back his tears. He is motioned that it is his time to speak.

"Jean, was not only a teammate to me, she was a friend. one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for." Tears start rolling out of Bobby's eyes. "We were both one of the originals. She brought so much to our little family here at Xavier's. It pains me to think that I wasn't there to help her in her time of need. The good Lord knows that she was there for everybody here, at one time or another. She would npt want us to remember her by how she died though, but how she lived. She was caring, sweet, and compasionate. So, please, let us remember her by all she did for each and every one of us, and not by how she is today. Goodbye Jean, you will be missed."

Bobby sat back down in his seat, wiping away his tears. He felt especially vulnerable at the moment, he is usually seen as the "class clown". But just now he showed everybody he could be serious, and he cried. He usually tries to hide that side of himself. But not today. Not only did he fail Jean not not being there, Deadpool is also in a coma because he didn't get to him in time. Bobby tells himself that none of this is his fault. How was he to know that Jean was fighting to her death? How was he to know that there was a grenade in that box that blew him to pieces, preventing him form getting to Deadpool in time. Bobby just sits and hopes that things get a little better...

As Dr. Doom activated his jetboots Daredevil felt the vibrations coming from his feet and retracted the cable allowing Doom to go free. Looking towards Cap he said, "Sorry I had to do that. It was either that or get my arm ripped off and get dragged through the rafters. Besides my left shoulder is still not 100%. The main thing I regret about all of that Reed Richards wasn't around to see this. He would've printed up the picture and sent it out as a Christmas Card."

As Daredevil chuckled he felt a rumble within the ground. He said, "Cap this place is about to go belly up we need to get moving NOW!" Daredevil grabbed Cap and fired his cable to a tree outside the window and began to swing to a safe distance. Once they were far enough away Daredevil & Cap landed on solid ground. Daredevil asked, "I got one question. Spider-Man took the jet. How in the world are we going to get home?"

OCC: Okay I think this is a good stopping place for Daredevil for this season. We can safely assume that he and Cap found a way to get home. Warrior can post a reply and if he suggest a way home safely assume DD followed.

I knew I should have rented a tuxedo.

If it was bad enough that I already sticked out because I'm not well known here (that might be a good thing, because if they knew who I was, I may just be not liked), but I REALLY stick out because I have nothing else in my "wardrobe" that's not my normal hunting clothes. I'm the only one here with leather on. At least I'm wearing black, it would have really set of the wrong mood by wearing anything else.

I listen to the ceremony. I'm strangly haunted and moved by them. The people who were there truely loved this woman. A part of me hopes that when I go down someday, someone would be there to do the same for me.

I'm not sure if I could have gone up there to say something. I wasn't a family member or a team member, I'm just some guy who saw her for a while before her death and brought her to her family. So, I resolve to say it in my mind--kind-of fitting, actually, considering most of my talking to her was in telepathy.

'Jean Grey. I never knew you that well, hell, I'm not sure if you had known me the way I do, you might not have wanted to. But, in a way you've helped me. You see, I was just a lowly vampire hunter, I...well, I can't say I truely LIKE what I do, but I was content.

'Now that I think about it, I think you knew every thing that went on in my head. Hell, you were a telepath after all, when you accessed my mind you probably found out sh--things about me that even I didn't know. Yet you saw all of that inside, and you still trusted me to do the right thing.

'I think that's what the million-dollar answer is to the question that's been going in my head. Question: Why in the hell would "The Daywalker" want to come out and become part of the superhero world? Answer: Because someone trusted me to be able to do it.

'I think you've helped me, in your small way, on making me become more then I am. You gave me the thought that I could become better, not just as a hero, but as a MAN.

'That is the true fact I've discovered sitting here at this furneral. Seeing all these superheroes here mourning for their loss, crying, made me realize that these aren't just the tradictional superhero arch-type, they're real people who have real emotions and have made mistakes. That made me think: If these people can make mistakes and still be heroes, why can't I?

'Thank you, Jean Grey, for helping me to become a better man.'

OOC: I think I'll leave it at that for this season, because I can't think of anything more to put that can't happen until next season, and I wouldn't want to, because I think this is the best post I've written so far.

Among the assembled superheroes, Ben Grimm stuck out like a sore thumb. Like always, it was his appearance that set him apart. Whereas these other individuals, who were at the same time endowed with terrific power, were able to hide their alter-egos, Ben could not. Despite being dressed in a custom-tailored designer suit, his physical differences were not easily hidden.

Earlier on, in his career as the ”ever-lovin’, blue-eyed Thing”, this would have bothered Ben…moreso than it did now. For the most part, he had come to accept the way he looked…and that it hadn’t changed who he was on the inside. And the people around him did the same.

(The fact that Beast and Blade were there--one big, blue and furry and the other decked out in leather from head to toe--helped.)

Not-so-deep-down, Ben had a heart…and like the rest of his body, it was bigger than most. He cared about what he did and he cared about the people close to him.

As his gaze fell on the casket, he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of responsibility. Although he didn’t know it at the time, while Ben was leaving Grand Central Station those days ago, Jean Grey was dying in a brutal attack. Maybe he should have followed them through those sewers…

But it was too late now.

At the same time, Ben wasn’t sure what to make of the whole thing. Being one of the members of a premier superhero team, he had seen a lot. And his mere proximity to Reed Richards gave a him a heightened knowledge of the world around him, whether he liked it or not. Ben knew that ”superheroes” rarely stayed dead…in fact, Jean Grey had been ”killed” before.

Looking around, though, Ben saw the sadness…he realized that, no matter how many times someone ”dies”, it will always be a moment for pause.

He imagined how he would feel if one of his teammates…his family, were to die. All the knowledge he had of people coming back to life would mean nothing if Sue Storm were the one laying in the casket.

Grimm lowered his head at the thought…he mourned the loss of Jean Grey and the twinge of responsibility swelled to guilt. Perhaps there was nothing he could have done, but he didn’t even try.

Over the four days of intense battle that the world had seen, Ben Grimm had grown weary…complacent, even. He found himself unwilling to do things he normally would have no problem doing…especially for his ”real” team.

But that wouldn’t happen again…

Reasserting a sentiment that had always been there, Ben vowed that, no matter what, he would do everything in his power to help those in need. He wouldn’t let his feelings or personal pride (as small as it was) get in the way of doing what was right…of him being the hero he has always been.

At that moment, he came to a decision…when this was over, and until Reed and Sue were back, the world needed a Fantastic Four.

Ben looked around the gathered heroes again…this time, with a different thought.

”So…who’s it gonna be?”

OOC: Just a note to Warrior and MST3K 4ever, I think, since that fight with Doom took as long as the "2 or 3 days" the rest of us went through before this funeral, it seems reasonable to say that the fight ended days ago and, if you want, you could be at the funeral.

The two timelines moved at such drastically different speeds that I don't think you should necessarily be left out...unless you don't really care to attend, either way.

Retro Post:

Quicksilver had been politely chatting among the guests.

He walked over and chatted briefly with Ben Grimm. Light conversation, as the two have never been close. They've just kicked some of the same butts. heh.

He purposely left the hardest ones till last. Hank and Bobby. Finally Pietro got up his nerve and steeled himself to speak to the only team mates present that had fought beside, and known, Jean as long as he had.

"Hello Hank, Robert..." he said. The three exchanged polite pleasantries. Then they spoke of shared memories.

"I can remember, Robert, when we first fought. You were throwing snowballs at my sister. And you, Hank, were bouncing about trying to knock me out with your impression of a human pinball...." Pietro said, and all three of them chuckled. Pietro continued, " And it was Jean who finally put the pinch on me...even at such a young age, here telekinetics were a powerful force." Again the three men chuckled, but a little sadder this time.

Eventually it was time for everyone to take their seats. As Pietro moved over to his place, he noticed a silver haired gentleman. It was his father.......

OOC: want a spirited father/son characterization thing here batnkevlar, or should we skip it? I think it'd be a nice character touch...we both honor Jean, but have family issues that date back even longer than either of us have known her.....I'm game either way.

The truck came to a stop outside the front gates of the opulent mansion. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, carefully climbed down from it's bed. He waved to the driver, and gave his thanks for the ride. Once again, living on the lam, he had done his best to find clotheing in his travel sack that would be appropriate attire for the somber event. The best he could find were a black pair of dockers, and a long sleeved, navy blue, button down shirt. Self consciously, he made his way to the gates. He didn't know why, exactly he had come here. He didn't fit in well, and had often found himself at odds with many of the people assembled here. As he stood near the call box, prepared to press the contact button, the gates swang open, seemingly of there own accord. He hesitantly entered the property, and couldn't help wincing as the gates gently locked together again.
Banner: " Well, there is no turning back now, I must see this thing to it's finish." he said as he walked up to a path and followed the sound of voices, to the back of the mansion. There he found the greatest gathereing of "super heroes" ever assembled in one place. It struck him as a profound example of how respected Jean was among her peers. Here was gathered the worlds greatest. Men and women, worthy of all accolades in their own rights. All to pay respects to the fallen heroine. He couldn't help but feel stining guilt as he thought of all she had given to make the world better. It was a stark contrast to the engine of destruction that existed inside of him. He didn't feel that either he, or the Hulk, were even remotely worthy of the title, hero.
It was easy for him to make out the shape of Ben Grimm in the distance, he moved to stay out of the heroe's vision, keeping somber groups of people between himself and the man that was all to often his rival. Out of respect for the deceased, as well as Grimm, he did his best to avoid the side effects of an encounter with the strongman of the Fantasic Four. He made his way to the seating area as Dr. Charles Xavier made his way to the closed casket.
He couldn't help wondering how people would react in the event of his death. He felt certain that there would not be a greif filled funeral, attended by the worlds gretest heroes. Once, again he felt bitter and alone. No one would mourn him when he died. He closed his eyes, and once again, his thoughts went to Betty, he was consumed with sorrow. He felt Xavier make contact with him mentaly, and.......felt ..........the poignancy of the eulogy. The circumstances were similar, and they were both young, beautiful, stong, women who had so much to offer the world, and were taken prematurely. He could no longer seperate his feelings, greif for his Betty, mixed with his sadness at the death of Jean Grey. He could no longer contain his sorrow, and found himself openly weeping.

http://www.incrediblehulk.com/banner2.JPG

Bruce, sat in his chair, locked in his own thoughts, feeling guilty that he was bringing his own greif to a funeral for Jean. He put his hand in his pocket, and was once again comforted by the presence of the mystery letter. He ached so badly , to leave now, and begin his quest to find his Betty. Out of respect, he restrained his impulse, and moved it to the back of his mind. It became a dull ache, that he new would grow into an throbbing pain. He put his hand over his face, emotionally exhausted. Still with his hand covering his face, he turned to find a more private vantage point, as he felt guests approaching his seat. He was halted by Charles Xavier's mental request," Please Dr. Banner, do not feel out of place. You have earned your place among us many times, most recently in aiding in the disposal of the spore devices. Jean would have been honored to have you here." Banner looked up to see Proffesor Xavier, approaching, Scott Summers at his side.

Xavier: " Scott, I do beleive that you have met Dr Banner. Yes I thought you had, forgive me gentlemen, I believe Storm has need of me." and with that he left the two men.

If Bruce felt bad, it was immediately apparent what condition Cyclops was in. His loss was fresh, his emtions raw, and overwhelmingly acheing. His heart went out to Summers, feeling that a man stood before him, who had lost similarly to him. In a rare instance, Banner lowered his protective walls, and in the manner of one who was vulnerable emotionally, reached his hand out, and placed it on Summer's shoulder in an act of comiseration. He opened up and spoke," Mr. summers, i have lost my wife, and soulmate. She was the only thing on this earth.... that made me feel.......human, since my accident. I know what pain you are feeling, and want you to know, I am sorry for your loss. I admired your Jean greatly."
He felt Summers shoulder tense, and he stepped back. Summer's looked up in challenge, his mouth all hard lines, until he looked into the anguish filled eyes of Bruce Banner. The man. He immediately softened his face, and went so far as to offer a quick embrace to the startled Dr. Breaking away, he simply said, " Thank you." Those words, conveyed so much meaning, they hung in the air, and it was as if a full conversation had been shared. Slowly, Summers turned in the direction Xavier had went, and was in time to see his mentor leading the gathering towards a hill. Banner followed after Cyclops, feeling as if a great thing had been given to him. He felt ............human..........after his exchange with summers. He was accosted from his thoughts, as he was granted his second gift of the day, the vision of the Pheonix flying westward, into the sky.......................................

End for season 1

MST3K 4ever

OOC: Just a note to Warrior and MST3K 4ever, I think, since that fight with Doom took as long as the "2 or 3 days" the rest of us went through before this funeral, it seems reasonable to say that the fight ended days ago and, if you want, you could be at the funeral.

The two timelines moved at such drastically different speeds that I don't think you should necessarily be left out...unless you don't really care to attend, either way.

OOC: Well since everyone else is there...I think DD should be there as well.

IC

Matt quietly approached the casket and bowed his head. He said a silent prayer, crossed himself and quietly said, "Hail & Farewell Jean...you will be missed."

He left the casket and sat in the back. I hate funerals, my dad's, Karen's, Elektra, and now this one. I can never get used to these...it also reminds me...that maybe someday my time too will be up...and when it is...what will happen? Will people realize I am Daredevil...will being a vigilante wipe out the good I did as a lawyer? Or will it enhance it? I don't know and I don't care right now...after all the crap that has happened over the last few days....all I want to do is...I just want to be alone.

Matt stood up and went back to his apartment. Climbed into his sensory deprivation tank and fell asleep.

OOC: The end for Daredevil in season 1...can't wait for season 2 :daredevil

OOC Post

Aren't we going to have Mary-Jane's funeral now? I don't mean to go on and on about this, but I think Mary-Jane's funeral deserves to end a season rather than open it. tying up all loose ends now will mean that we can allow for time to have passed after the start of the second season.

Personally speaking, I have put a lot of work into planning out a final post for this Season, involving Mary-Jane's funeral. I just naturally assumed that we would end the season with MJ's funeral, even before Jean died and we had to consider having a funeral for her as well. But as well as talking about myself, ElectroFlare really worked his ass off and made some excellent posts. I think he should be allowed a degree of catharsis as the season comes to a close as well.

I personally think that Mary-Jane's death was just as important as Jean Grey's, and allowing one funeral to clsoe things up, while another one is just going to be used as an excuse to springboard into a lot of fights, it sort of cheapens the character arcs of everyone not involved in the war in Genosha story.

OOC: If you guys want to have the funeral now, have it. I don't think anyone else is going to show up. It's supposed to be a public funeral so if you want to have it then just do it. I don't think that you have to wait for the okay seeing as you and Spidey are the only ones that are going to be there. I don't think that everyone is in the same time continuity anyway. So...post away and finish this season up. Just do it quickly so the last posts can be during Jean's funeral. Batnkevlar gets last post anyway.

OOC: want a spirited father/son characterization thing here batnkevlar, or should we skip it? I think it'd be a nice character touch...we both honor Jean, but have family issues that date back even longer than either of us have known her.....I'm game either way.

OOC: Actually, you can't see Magneto because I'm telepathically shielding our presence from everyone. I can edit my post if you guys want to have some dialogue.

As Spider-man was hunting down Bullseye, he happened to land on the sidewalk in front of a TV store, where the news was on.

"Today, the funeral for Mrs. Mary Jane Parker will be held. It is believed that her husband is either missing or murdered, due to his disappearence at about the same time." Spider-man heard the announcer say.

"There will be another day for Bullseye. Now is a day for MJ." Spider-man said, and leapt into a dark alley way to change. After changing, Peter Parker hailed a cab to the funeral. He stopped first and rented a tux on the way.

He showed up just as the viewing started. Many people were startled by his presence, as he was believed injured. The limp he walked with, due to the Taskmaster's bullet, helped convince them.

He walked up to the casket at his turn. She was still beautiful.

"MJ. I'm sorry. I could have saved you. It's all my fault that you're not here anymore. I should have stayed with you, instead of running off like that. I didn't think he would harm you, but I was wrong. I'm sorry. I never wanted to have to do this. But I have to say goodbye." Peter Parker whispered, holding her hand in his. As he leaned over to kiss her, his spider-sense went off.

What now? He thought...

OOC:Alright Bullseye, set you up. I can edit it if you don't want the spider-sense to go off, but I figured it'd be the best way to wrap up Spidey in Season I.

Meanwhile, in a cemetery in New York City, another funeral was taking place. The funeral of Mary-Jane Watson. There was a crowd of grieving friends and family members. And standing alone, to one side, was Mary-Jane's husband, Peter Parker. But someone else was observing the funeral, unknown to the other people in attendance.

Sitting in a beaten-down car, far back from everyone else, Bullseye sat and watched the service, taking place by the burial site. He wasn't in his costume. No, he was wearing a black suit, full mourning attire. He didn't expect Parker to spot him. The kid was in a world of his own. Bullseye considered killing him right now, and having it done with once and for all. But something was stopping him.

Bullseye hated Peter Parker. He hated him for loving Mary-Jane, and for being the person Mary-Jane loved. He hated him for letting Mary-Jane be endangered, letting her meet a lowlife piece of scum like Bullseye. And most of all Bullseye hated Peter Parker for not stopping Bullseye from killing Mary-Jane. Why didn't he stop him? it was all Parker's fault. Everything was his fault. But as much as Bullseye hated Peter Parker, he couldn't kill him. Not today, anyway.

Bullseye hated to admit it, but Bullseye and Spider-Man shared a powerful bond. They had both loved the same wonderful woman: Mary-Jane, sweet Mary-Jane. Bullseye had loved Mary-Jane more than he had loved anything. Except for himself. He really had a love-hate relationship with himself, that was for sure. He knew now that Mary-Jane didn't love him, would never love him, but that didn't matter. Whenever he was with her, he actually felt like life was more than just a sick joke. Life meant something, it could be something beautiful. But now that she was gone, Bullseye would never think that again. Life was just one big cosmic mindjob.

And that brought him back to Peter Parker. Bullseye hated him for being loved by Mary-Jane, but he also admired him for it. Parker was a lucky man. It didn't matter that she was dead, he should count himself lucky that he had ever been loved by something so beautiful, something so pure. But now she was dead. Bullseye and Parker could both share the same heartbreak. Whehter Parker liked it or not, they were both in the same boat. They were in this together. They had both killed her.

Bullseye watched solemnly as the coffin lowered down into the grave. He wished he could have seen her face one last time, but somehow he felt showing up at the viewing would have been a bad move to make. he couldn't see her, but he was sure she could see him. Oh yes, Bullseye believed in God. He hated him, but he certainly believed in him. Mary-Jane was now in a better place, a place Bullseye would never see, looking down on them all. Bullseye wondered what she thought of him.

With that thought, tears began to gather in Bullseye's eyes. His lip began to tremble. No! He wasn't going to cry! Bullseye wiped his eyes and frantically looked around to see if anyone was watching. being caught spying on the funeral he could risk, but no way was he going to let anyone see him so vulnerable, so weak. Bullseye closed his eyes, but all he could see was Mary-Jane's smiling face. He had never been lucky enough to see her smile in person, but he had used his imagination to picture what her smile would be like. He would never see her smile now...

And that was it. Bullseye couldn't take anymore. he just broke down, wailing uncontrollably. No one outside the car could hear him, and even if they could, Bullseye frankly couldn't care less. He had worried before, but now he was past that. As he punched himself in the head and tore at his skin, tears streaming down his face, all he could think about was that she was gone. Forever.

Bullseye needed to feel this pain. He needed to lay Mary-Jane to rest once and for all. Mary-Jane was dead, and Bullseye had finally sold his soul once and for all. Any hope for redemption - if there had been any after all he'd done - was gone now, Bullseye knew that. Bullseye was a monster, a cold-blooded killer. But Bullseye was okay with that. That's what he got paid to be.

Johnny Storm

*Johnny back to his normal routine of being a celebrity and handling the business aspect of the fantastic four. Rushes to his next meeting, not knowing if it was business or pleasure, He runs by a newsstand. He stops abruptly, since a picture in the Daily Bugle catches his attention. The front page shows pictures of the heroes who took part in the war with Doom. In the lower right hand corner there was a column dedicated to an X-man who risked her life. Johnny realized that he was missing the funeral. An idea came upon him, thinking it was the least he could do, with his busy schedule and all. Johnny flames on right there near the newsstand and takes off. With his fire trail he forms a circle with an "X" inside, then on the bottom a "J" and a "G".*

OOC: thanks to KK for bunnying me, I have limited internet access recently so I havent been able to post... should be up and running within this week though.

IC: Dark. Cold... static. An empty warehouse somewhere in the wilderness of Latveria.

The backyard of Dr. Victor Von Doom.

The movement had been... defeated. The mere thought made Doom quiver with disgust and dissapointment as he sat in pitch black, face rested in his palm. But Doom was an intelligent man... and he was not delusional.

He had been beat.

Oh, it took the combined forces of nearly every possible hero and government organization in the world to even attempt to halt his efforts... but piece by piece, the empire he had built had dwindled farther and farther from his grasp. He had seen, conquered, and lost. After being nearly beaten to death by Thor, injuries which he still suffered from... he had not been able to maintain command and control over his forces, which crumbled under the might of SHIELD, Stark Industries, and the FF/Avengers amalgamation. Add in Dr. Strange and the X-Men... and it was too much for even the great Victor Von Doom to handle.

He had been beat. Plain and simple.

Any other person would take some sort of solice or comfort in the fact that it had taken so much to take him out... but this was not any other person. It was Doom, and Doom did not settle for "there's always next year". With fury, he slammed his fist against the arm of his chair, nearly breaking it. He still had Latveria, and he always would, but the plan to extend his tendrils of power had... failed.

Doom had failed.

Rage swept over Victor. Rage and resentment for the individuals who had interfered... those responsible for the temporary delay in his conquest.

Temporary.... yesssss. A thin smirk came across Doom's face. This was only temporary. Sooner or later, Doom would be the victor. It was inevitable.

But first things first, Victor thought with a vengeful smile.

The Thing. Johnny Storm. Thor. Nick Fury. Tony Stark. Photon. Daredevil. Deadpool. Captain America. Stephen Strange. Cyclops and the rest of his bandit X-Men. One by one he would hunt them. One by one he would tear them apart, limb from limb. Just as they tore his empire apart.

Doom rose from his chair and made his way to the command center of his warehouse. There were many issues on the agenda... he had to restore order to his fractured country, and bring Latveria back from the brink of destruction. But then again...

first things first...

:::As Hero after Hero, Friend after friend, say their goodbyes, a light drizzle begins to fall. It does not stop everybody from paying respect though. A rumble is heard in the distance. Most people do not think much of it. But not Xavier. Xavier, in the middle of a conversation with Ororo, begins to wheel himself towards a hill in the yard of the mansion. "Professor?" -Strom says. He wheels to the top of the hill and others follow. Quicksilver, Cyclops, Strom, Thing, even the hunter Blade. They all look with amazment as to the far west, sitting with the clouds, is a beautiful woman. Surrounded by a glow. Wings of fire sprout from her back and she gives a smile to the people watching her. She turns around and flies away.:::

~Excuse me professor? Don't you think there are more important things right now? Like saving the world?~

*Magneto watches as the Phoenix floats oh-so-delicately, like a butterfly. But then again, Eric Lensherr knew it stings liek a bee. Jean Grey had died, and had been reborn as the Phoenix. But not everyone could come back form the dead. Magda could not, neither could his first daughter. The children he had after despised him, and his son had betrayed him to the humans of the US government.
Eric looked at his son, Pietro, with a fury of a god and the admiration of a father. He had set out on his own, wherever the winds of time may take him. Wanda was gone, taken aback by bouts of insanity and Eric was finally alone. He had watched friends and enemies die, and he was left behind. But he would stand back up and rebuild. He would prove to everyone why they should fear Magneto. The Brotherhood of the New World Order would prevail, and now he had a country to fall back on. Not a country that would put him into concentration camps and kill his parents. No adopted countries who would not accept him for who he is. Instead, a country that would fight until their last breath for him. Acolytes who would die for his cause. Magneto stands up.*

"Thank you, Charles, for giving me Hope. Hope for my kind. Hope for my Brothers. Hope that I might once again rule what is rightfully mine. Thank you Charles. I give you thanks from your friend, Eric, the Master of Magnetism."
