Nice stuff Bob.funny that the Storm Shadow was your favorite. it's actually the first of a long line in a new "series" i'm working on. see, in the online Joe community, a big thing is customs. where people take existing toy parts and mix and match them, recolor them, modify them, etc to create all new versions of Joes (or all new characters in general). same idea of customs you see people doing with superheroes, but the Joe community seems to be more obsessed with this idea. anyways, so my plan is to draw various customs i find online, and this was the first of them, you can see the original here:

I have a hard time getting into JTHM. I love Squee and Zim, but JTHM seems so stream of conciousness that it makes it hard to follow through the entire thing. It certianly has its moments, but on a whole I've never been able to get into it to the extreme that alot of my friends have.

Well, I think that really depends on what type of site you're doing. Page 32 took me ages to complete, mostly because I had to get a friend to write a script to automate the review submission/posting proccess... On the other hand, I got Brad-Johnson.com finished in two days, thought it's not open yet because I haven't put up the content.

as for teaming up with someone, i have considered it, but will have to decline. two reasons. the first is that i have no patience for a comic book. especially if i used that method above. took me two hours just to do that one pic, and i was tracing a photo. multiply that by a few hundred pics that i have to draw from scratch, and you get the idea how much time i would spend. i get bored too easily, which is why i have never finished any comic of my own, unless it was under ten pages.

and that's reason number two. i have about three stories floating in my head as of right now. i really want to finish them before i start illustrating someone else's story. i know that sounds selfish, but it's just how i am. if i'm going to spend hours and weeks and months of my life drawing a comic, it will be mine.

yeah, i'm a slow artist. i look at drawins people do, and they are like "it took me 30 mins" and it looks as good or better than art that takes me an hour or more. i kind of wish i was faster, so i could pump out more. i have so much swirling in my head that needs to get out.

continuing my "JLA Redux" series. up to bat, we have the king of the underwater world, and the emerald knight.

i really wanted to combine the old Aquaman costume with the 90's one (with that horrible hook hand, green pants and grey shoulder armor). as for Green Lantern. i don't know what the hell i was thinking.

I'm so idealistic, I can't help it. Autonomous anarcho-syndicalist communes could work if people would work together. People automatically assume chaos and disorder when they think of anarchy. I see it as solidarity, community, and freedom from societal standards and chains.
