again!pursuing my idea of an army of batmen, I propose U something: to constitute a whole panorama of all the batmen existing according to each penciller, director, cartoonist!
here's the game :
find the name of the precedent post and then post your pic of someone's batman from feet (or knee at least) to head, clear and visible, and illustrating the style of the penciller. If the penciller has changed style , U can post the same guy twice ( since the batman is not the same!).
-just put the name of the penciller.
-just put the name of the cartoonist designer.
-but put the name of the director AND the designer of the movie.
I begin easy :

Hmmm....I wanna say the Hindelbrandt Bros.? SP? German spellings are difficult to remember. Let's see, first names...one's Greg and the other escapes me. One pencils and the other paints. May not be them, but definitely mimics their style if it's not. They love dynamic perspective and multiple colored light sources.

This thread gives me an idea. Here's a possible story for the comics: Flash forward to the future. Bruce Wayne has retired as Batman. However, he runs an academy to train people to be Batmen. First they start out as Robins, then when the time is right, they graduate to Batmen. Therfore, you have whole squads of Batmen and Robins to fight crime. They could all have cool, different costumes and maybe a couple of the people would have different attributes and abilities besides the normal ones you associate with Batman and Robin. And the current Robin could be the new main Batman maybe. I know, this sounds a little bit too X-Men, doesn't it?

That Batman wasn't that different from the Sword of Azrael, see the big eyes, the belt, the flapping cape.

The penciller in my image is a young artist, he just made some works for DC, in all his branches and will paint part of a miniseries during 2005. He's a friend of Jim Lee.

the military theme and sound of it. I just imagine some ridiculous, and not fully thought-out, situation where Batman fans are coming to the rescue for their hero for some odd reason or another. It's just a silly daydream I have. I have this hobby of listening to soundtracks and imagining things with the music. I'd go into detail with this "final confrontation" one but I don't want to embarrass myself. I posted something similar with the Dock-Ock suite on the first Spider-Man 2 various artists CD. I used my imagination, and that suite, to make a Juggernaut live-action movie sequence. I wrote it all down. The thread died from lack of interest.

And we have a winner! Btw, Rags is now on Wonder Woman after his successful Identity Crisis series. The other one is not a Frank Quitely's piece of art.
Now it's your turn.

That's the artist of the art I posted last month. Giuseppe "Cammo" Camuncoli still lives in Italy, will be one of the artist on Batman:Europa, a painted mini, and right now is working with Jim lee on "The Intimates" ("He's a CLOSE friend of Jim Lee").

The authors of Cybersix are not Italian, they are from Argentina.
Larroca is Spanish, like Pacheco. And Gary Frank, I don't know, but his Batman is slightly different.
But I've said the artist is American, he just happened to be born in Italy. His family name sounds more Spanish, though.

Although it isn't the most detailed pic, it's actually not that hard to spot it's Bolland. Most artists are instantly recognisable in the way they draw faces, eyes, mouthes. Hands are also a very good tell-tale sign.

The eyes on this batman are wide and triangular and seem a little bulgy, as if they're not entirly framed by his brow. The shape of the head is long and the bat-ears are neither very short nor long and bend a bit outwards, curling back inside like horns ever so slightly. That's CLASSIC Bolland. :)
