instead of wall hooks and zipties i usualy work with string and clear pushpins.. usually hides more, as for the open or not factor, i open all most everything, except for doubles and variants, i have very few doubles and i just try to get rid of them through trades. variants i keep closed because honestly, there the only figs that will be worth possibly anything. these days figs are to mass produced unlike toys in the 80's and before. Plus im 20 and am a huge marvel fan, always have been, i dont see me losing that fandom so i doubt ill ever want to part with these figs anyway so why keep them packaged? plus saves room and looks cooler... its actually funny because my roomates are actually starting to bring friends in to see my room and show it off. its kinda funny but its cool

na i prefer spideys to be cluttered, reminds me of the fight collages in the comics, plus i find this is a kind of art in a sense... the best paintings are ones you look around at and find things that are new. Not something you look at instantly and get the whole picture.

1) Do you happen to have any of the stands to spare? I only have one after the one I got from Vision, Capt, and Deadpool broke.

2) How'd you do the stand for Nightcrawler? I might be getting a Storm and would like to make a stand like yours.

as for stands.. ya i have like one or 2 extra.. but i kinda save them for other figs...

as for the bamf! base its pretty simple.

step 1) exacto knife the lightening bolts off
step 2) paint HOT pink (acrylic) let dry
step 3) paint dark purple with sponge (or paper towel)
step 4) while still wet take a wet sponge or paper towel and dab some of the purple paint off so u can see the hot pink shine through (also dab with clean dry sponge or paper towel
step 5) (optional) use grey or grey and purple as third layer and do the same with step 4

Okay so I gotta steal my Moms Digicam again. I just posed my X-men Shelf again. it rules. 2 Sentiles, Nightcrawler and Cyclops on one, Blue Angel and Storm Flying in, The Sceond Sentinel is Stepping on Juggernaut while Colossus and Wolverine prepare a fastball special. Gambit, Phoenix, Bishop, Iceman and Beast provide the ground support while Xavier looks on. I am just upset that my Rogue figure was mutilated, she would be anice addition to the flyers.

hmmm well what i would do, is definately get some figs flying, and for posing theres 2 major secrets. the most dynamic pose you can get is when there about to do something, or have done something. not in the process of doing something. the anticipation of the action really helps (see my cap for instance) with most my poses i feel i get a sense of a "battle about to start" where as with spidey i did include a lil bit of the battle, (see rhino) as well as fan 4 (vs galactus)

another good tip for dynamic poses is to actually look at comics, find poses that are do able.

and for hanging ur figs... since it doesnt look like u can use thumb tax, if u dont mind i'd nail in little nails... (real thin) and then bend them to form a hook shape, add string and you have a great way of makeing your figs fly

Ah, I never tie the Fishing line, I loop it around them and secure both ends to the roof, that way I avoid any knots or anything.

on the occasion that IU use a Knot I leave it loose enough to still hold the fig while still allowing me to Slip some scissors in.

I photo-edited it a little to highlight the coolness of it, well and also because the close-up didn't come out so great (Magneto is a little blurry).

on the bright side, you could do some easy customs on some... paint hulkling's hair, cut off Wiccans "wings", and repaint iron lad and give him visions cape. ... patriot would need alot more work, his costume looks much different now too (has quilted pattern etc)
