i think no companion has ever compared to rose and althought i was really sad to see her go they made it so the character could not come back which i felt worked she is still alive she is still protecting the world but effectivly dead to the doctor and to bring her back would take brilliant writing for it not to feel tacky and if it felt tacky it would damage the character however in the world of doctor whothere is plenty of doppelgangers so maybe a few years downtheline billie piper could play a small part im glad to see martha will be back and donna too but lets have martha darker and donna nicer

I suppose. The Sontaran's just don't quite have the presence that the Daleks or the Cybermen do, and I wouldn't want yet another war story, which is what the Sontarans would lend themselves to. Then again, yet another Time Lord Big Bad would seem a little repeatative aswell.

I just bought series 3 from work (let's hear it for inside info on sales prices, and employee discounts). I fully intend to watch Runaway Bride, Shakespeare Code, Lazarus Experiment, the Human Nature 2-parter, Blink, and the 3-part finale again. Also, the deleted scenes and outtakes.

And so the Master died in the Doctor's arms and Dr Who fans everywhere go in to meltdown. He He!

Anyway the last couple of episodes gave us a good opportunity to show of some of our work. The feature prosthetic of the last two episodes was the ageing make-up on David Tennant. Although we'd already done an ageing make-up on David for his imagined death bed scene in Episode 9 it was decided that we should take the look much, much further. This gave me a chance to create my own 'homage' to the classic Dick Smith "Little Big Man" make-up. What Fun!

For our three days of filming we managed to apply the prosthetics in around two hours. Thanks to Anthony Parker for assisting me with the application on this one and, of course, Mr. David Tennant himself for being super patient throughout and an all round smashing bloke.

The end of season episode has aired but, fear not WHO fans, in nine days time we start filming series four..... No rest for the wicked!!!
