First of all, we will see more of the Tardis than just the control room.
Second, the Cybermen have been updated, however, no-one's saying how.
and thirdly, K9 has been tweaked but only slightly.

Both topics at Outpost Gallifrey are from the spoiler forums and just speculation or hearsay. They haven't been officially announced by the BBC. Mickey being a full time companion could just be a little bit of idle chit chat between Dr Who fans.

That's the worst idea ever.....what's he gonna do...just travel round space mating with stuff?

i didn't hate jack as much as most ppl here seem to have, but i couldn't stand seeing him as a main character in a show.

In my opinion spin offs are usually a crap idea, i never saw K9 and company, but i'm sure it was crap. This spin off cheapens the greatness of Dr Who.
Keep Jack in the series as an occasional character, or even a companion, but don't let him have his own series.

Love the design. Bryan Hitch is a God. I love his work on the "Ultimates"

I have to say the Cybermen have always looked similar to "Iron-Man" but these guys really look like War Machine. A few photshop tweaks here and there and you could make that photo look like the comic book character.

And to further your point, someone just walked into my cubicle, saw the picture and said, "Hey, it's Iron Man!" :D

Probably because Zombie Santas simply rolls of the tongue easier than Zombie Father Christmas'. Sometimes these nicknames come from what the people on productions use as nicknames for scenes so that they're easily refered to and understood. Maybe that's the case here?

Well, Mrs Richards...there is talk of a special effects company working on a scene that involves all the other previous Doctors utilising snippets of old Dr Who shows and comping them into a scene in the Tardis. The rumour is that they will be realised as emergency holograms of past incarnations of the Doctor.

Yes I agree and the rumours also suggest that this may be for a zero room scene ( the zero room possibly being the new room in the Tardis they have promised this season )

I still think it's a bit of fan wank because why would the Mill shop out additional special effects scenes to other companies when they have the contract with the BBC.

Yes I totally agree although there are many ardent Who fans who don't want it to happen just yet because they want the 10th Doctor to establish himself which I can understand also.

If this rumour is true then this would be Who's version of Deep Space Nine's Trial and Tribulations where they comped the new stars of the tv show in with an old episode of the original Star Trek.

I've proposed this before, but, well, we've had "The Three Doctors", "The Five Doctors"; why not the "The Four Doctors"?

Think of it as a forthcoming Children in Need special dealie so salaries can be ignored: David Tennant, Chris Eccleston, Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy. Both Paul and Sylvester still look the part, and the last three Doctors have pleasingly different personalities.

It could tie in to the Eighth Doctor's regeneration. Hell, it could be the main plot thread. Eccleston would only need to appear at the end in a cameo. That, and it would be nice to see the Eighth Doctor shine.

Not going to happen I'm sure, but it'd be a big crowd pleaser.

Dimensions in Time was a joke. It was also, lest we forget, intended to be a joke. That, and it was written at a time when there was no Who series whatsoever, never mind one being handled by a series of competent writers.

These days, there's every chance of a special being done right, handled seriously and being entertaining to boot.

As for CE, he's still well liked; if not by Whovians then at least by the kids who've only ever been familiar with his Doctor.
