I personally never heard of the band until I bought one of their CDs a year ago. When I ask anyone if they've ever heard of them, they always look at me puzzled and say "CKY who?"

Man, I grew up on Petra. They had a concert here in smalltown WV when I was like in middle school.
Now, they just don't seem as cool as they used to. They were like 80s metal, feathered hair and all. I just grew out of em, sometime.

i never actually listened to the libertines. when i first heard of them i thought they were some crappy punk band of the same name from upstate new york whose guitarist i kind of knew when i lived up there briefly and didn't give them a chance. i guess i should check them out, too. didn't one of the members of the uk subs play in the libertines?

Ehm, not that I know of. They did play with Peter Perret from The Only Ones once though.
You should definitely check out The Libertines, it's just a shame they're no longer together.
