I think we should have Norman Osborn become the Green Pimp rather than the Green Goblin! That'd be cool. He'd have lots of bling and stuff. and it'd all be green.

Hey folks-
You folks may have seen my postings of both of my Spider-Man scripts. In addition, I've been working on doing an animated film based on my first script, and I need voice actors to perform the roles.
You'll find my first script here:
http://www.simplyscripts.com/script...spider-man.html
What I need is for folks interested in doing the character voices to e-mail me Wave or mp3 files of themselves performing lines of the characters. Pretty much all newer systems have some capacity for recording sound. I'm not terribly concerned that the sound quality be fantastic, just clear.
As a suggestion to those interested, definitely read for more than one role. I'm especially looking for female performers for the roles. Right now as I'm starting to do the animation, I'm making the sound files to work on syncing the dialogue. And believe me, performing the female character lines is creeping me out ;)
Below, I've posted some images of the CG characters from the film.

Fear not guys.. I haven't abandoned you or the project. Still busting my hump on it and will till it's done. Things have held me up in the making the progress I'd like. Aside from work and other life issues.. I've decided to render the film in widescreen, so I have to re-render all of the scenes i've previously done. also, I've been doing alot of lighting tests and so forth to work out the overall look I want the film to have.
I also wanted to have a substantial amount of work to post. Anyway, here's some new stuff and older stuff re-done:

No offence, Dragon, but this is pretty sub-par at best looking...but I think it's okay as you're working on your own or in a small group, what program are you using? I might use it depending on it's price to get the feel of 3D.
It's sub-par by today's standards, but I wouldn't expect you to have a budget of $100 mill...but I honestly can't wait to watch this because it does look VERY interesting.

I'm not looking to make something to rival Final Fantasy or the like by myself, on my two computers, when films like that have up to 200 animators working in state-of-the art facilities.
I'm having fun making this film, and alot of folks here have put forth a terrific effort doing the voice acting. That's all I'm interested in accomplishing.

I'd love for the film to get some broadcasting, but unless Marvel licensed it, it couldn't happen.
My professional reasons for doing this is because I'm showing my approach as a director to doing a big budget action/adventure film. Such a movie would be out of reach to me financially, but I can make it on my desktop :)
Although maybe Marvel might want to do some animated Spidey movies, which I love to direct ;)

You did an EXCELLENT JOB on the sequel lines. And actually your performances from both films compliment each other. In Spidey 1 Peter sounds younger and less experienced. In Spidey 2 Peter sounds more mature,as though he's been through alot, which is how he should sound. I'm still going through the lines you sent, but the funeral scene where Peter confesses to Gwen captures exactly what i was going for emotionally. You are a truly talented actor.

I'm glad you liked them! There are a few lines I'd like to re-record because you can hear my roommate typing away in the background, so when I get a chance I redo some of those.

I live in NYC so if you like my voice that would be great..
im asian though, beware.
For the most part, I'm finished with voice casting for the first film. There might be some minor characters here or there that need recording- so I'll contact you if there's anything available.
You're welcome to audition for the sequel; Thresh has me thinking about it heavily since he he sent me his recorded lines for the sequel.
And Squirrel- you'll be seeing some Shocker scenes in the trailer (All the villains and major characters will be seen).

You should audition for some of the new roles in the sequel script. I'm not sure if anyone has been cast in these roles yet, but here are the major roles in the sequel that didn't appear in the first film:
Quentin Beck/Mysterio
Hobie Brown/The Prowler
Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
Johnny Storm/The Human Torch
Sandman
Kraven the Hunter
Officer Huggins
there are also an assortment of police officers, doctors, and other minor characters.

Hey folks-
It's really exciting for me to see so many interested in auditioning for the sequel. Although I can't allow myself to get sidetracked since I'm still working on the first film, feel free to send auditions for roles you feel are appropriate.
The exceptions would be Peter/Spidey and Norman Osborn as well as several others from the first film, which are already cast.
As a helpful hint, try not to "do voices". Speak in your natural voice, ubt act the lines out. I'll then tell you what needs more emphasis. Another thing for anyone reading Ock- Ock is American, so, no German or Austrian accents.
Thanks.

It's not much, considering I'm not Dragon, but I suppose there's no harm in sharing some news about an impending trailer for the film (be it a teaser or otherwise).
Over a week ago Dragon sent me some lines to be recorded for a trailer of some sort, seemingly a teaser from the nature of the lines. There were seven lines, I won't divulge the exact dialogue just in case Dragon wants to keep it quiet until he shows off a first official glimpse of the film, but it's a nice bit of standard Peter Parker dialogue talking about how he is different from most people for obvious reasons.
On more of a performance note, it was a nice little stint to perform because I got to sort of go back and voice the younger Peter Parker, whose voice is different from the older Parker I voiced for the sequel recently. It was interesting to try and replicate the younger voice of the character (due to the fact that my voice has become deeper and more defined in the year between recordings for the two films). Just a cool bit of info that I hope will give a little anticipation to the upcoming first look at the flick.
I'm sure that Dragon will chime in and give us some more concrete (and less boring) news!
UPDATE: In anticipation for the new trailer, I thought that I might start getting the word out on this project beyond the confines of the SHH forums.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtROxfdGFO4
It's nothing we from the hype haven't seen, but YouTube seems to be a hotspot for people to check out clips and build anticipation for projects. I'm sure once the trailer is released by Dragon it'll be put up there too!

I liked the Spidey vs. Hulk clip, but a couple things turned me off. Mainly the physics. I think there's a part where Hulk grabs Spider-Man by the ankle and as he's pulling him back,Spidey's entire body is just sticking up like he's standing. Now the part only lasted for about a second anyway, but just throwing that out there.

That's really just an editing issue. Trimming it a few frames would remedy the problem. To be honest, I never really completed the edit on this clip. Among other things, I intended to add dialogue. But I decided to move onto the full length film that I'm working on now.

I have to again praise Thresh, and Green Goblin especially. You guys have made Peter and Norman really shine and I can't wait for you to see the finished product.

Yeah, this seems to have a lot of potential. Do the X-Men one too. In fact, can you do an entire series of CGI films based on Marvel characters?

Yeah, that's the site that MarvelMovies and I set up for the movie. We're changing hosts soon, so hopefully after that we'll be getting back to updating the site a bit more frequently. :)

Thanks for the kudos GG- (Not to be confused with the other GG, the fine thespian voicing the Goblin in my film ;) )
As far as the number of films, yeah, I have it numbered at four. And as Threshold mentioned above, the Six are in part 2.
Each flick will be about 2.5 hours in length. So they're EPICS :D
I'm hard at work on the trailer now, so I hope to have it up soon. Only thing is I'm looking for a way to post it without the decrease in quality that occurs at sites like You Tube or Photobucket.

Have you found all of your voice actors...I just now ran across this thread and will try out for a part. I can do tons of impersonations and would love to give it a try.

I can answer this one, since Dragon kindly showed me his script for movie 2.
Doc Ock is the main villain in the movie, and along the way he recruits Sandman, Electro, Mysterio, Vulture, and Kraven to take down Spidey.
I'd offer to voice Ock for you Dragon, but I'm sure you don't want your Doctor Octopus to have an irish accent ;)

I don't know if anyone is incredibly interested or not, but here's a random little short film I made with my brother and his friends today:

Again, I put this online for them and thought that some people would like to see a bit of my acting ability (although I'm not very Spideyesque or Parkeresque in this one).
NOTE: There's quite a bit of bad language in this thing, so if you've got the kids around or if you are a youngin' yourself... maybe you should think twice before you click on that link.

I'll give it a look Thresh.
To answer the above question about when I'll be done, that's tough to say. The simple fact that I can't anticipate the regular work I'll be doing, which puts a dent into my time owrking on Spidey. But at the same time, I'm trying to upgrade my equipment, both hardware and software to speed up my efficiency.
This is a link to my X-men clip rendered and with effects layed in, so you can see the difference. Although this still doesn't reflect the quality of the full image.

Well, that was just about the COOLEST FRIGGIN' THING EVER!!!
If you need someone to do a voice for Cyclops, it's kind of a dream of mine to play Cyclops (second to playing Spidey actually), so I'm just throwing that out there... Even if it's just a grunt or two, I'm game for it! :cyclops:
Haha! That was great.
Thanks, it was fun to improv that stuff. I'll have a bunch more movies up in a week or two, so stay tuned to my YouTube account video's or to this thread, where I'll link to them... :)
