Figured instead of always making new threads about the new figures people get I'll make one thread where if you want yo ucan tell us the new figures you got...Like the ones I got this weekend.....From the JLA series I got The Flash and Green Lantern...from the Hush line I got Hush....I found a Man-Thing at TRU and I saw a Doc Ock but this f#%king fat guy that works there took right in front of me....and I got me a Flash Rey Mysterio from RA12...

Its 12.99 in UK pounds not US Dollars, so it's not that bad. Sar it at one online store for £20! :eek:

My KC Flash arrived today.

Alex Ross JLA figures.
Got the Flash and Superman.
They look great in the package, but they kinda… suck ass hardcore.
The sculpt and the paint are pretty darn good, but Superman is damn-near as tall as the Green Lantern Series 1 Kilowog figure, and that’s just too damn big. He’s almost a head taller than Hal Jordan… Superman is only like 6’ 3”. I don’t like it when these DC Direct figs aren’t scaled properly.
The figure looks good except Superman looks overly-pissed and his arms are in a funny position. I HATE how his arms are ALMOST articulated enough to put his fists on his hips, but they’re not quite there. It’s annoying. He only has one pose that isn’t ridiculous, and it’s not a very Superman-ish pose at all. His arms… hang down by his side… wow.
Flash is absolutely horrid. Complete and total crap. The sculpt is nice (although Flash now has a zipper down the FRONT of his costume… yeah, must have missed that in the 40,000 Flash and JLA issues I’ve read…) and it’s a nice looking figure. The gold on his costume is a little muted and looks bland and old, but the face sculpt is great. His smirk is PERFECT Barry Allen. The huge, huge drawback to the figure is that he just can’t stand. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get this stupid figure to stand up. It just can’t be done. His feet are bent in a way where he has to be in the “running” pose constantly, and because of this you have to bend his knees. The problem is that the KNEES ARE TOO WEAK TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT. They made Barry Allen a big fatass (entirely too thick and too tall) with weak knees. The figure’s knees just aren’t stiff enough to keep him in that dumb looking position and even on the stand and foot peg (yeah, the stands have two pegs but the figures only have one hole in one foot) he slowly lurches forward until he tips over. Ugh. It’s extremely frustrating… you can’t even prop him up against another figure because of his awkward running stance. If you could drill a hole into his forward foot so BOTH feet will be secured by the pegs in the stand, it may work. MAY work. The figure just isn’t balanced at all and his weak knees make him a big, worthless paperweight.
The plastic the Flash is made out of is almost rubbery… it’s a lot like some kind of sturdy clay or something. It sucks and it bends and even changes shape in some places. (where his legs attach to his hips… yeah, if you push the legs up too far it literally deforms his pelvic-area. Weird.)
The stands are really… bizarre. This odd kind of blacktopped platform thing that’s just… too big and clunky. Plus it’s ugly and generic looking and it gives the Flash absolutely NO SUPPORT AT ALL. I would have loved to have seen some kind of special stand for the Flash designed specifically for his feet so he could stand up…and a “floating” stand for Superman that makes him look like he’s floating a foot or two off the ground (I suppose that would be like an inch… to scale).
And WHYYYY did they do that to Superman’s arms? Why? Make it so you can fold them across his chest. That would go PERFECTLY with the super-pissed look on his face. Or at least make it so you can put his hands on his hips in that iconic pose… sheesh, people.
So far these Alex Ross figures blow ass. I was supremely disappointed with the Kingdom Come figures (except for Captain Marvel) and these aren’t much better.
The only real improvement I’ve seen in the reduction of the HUGE “cuts” for neck articulation, (KC Superman looked like his throat had been slashed or like he was wearing a choker) the improved articulation (hips, elbows, wrists, knees, neck and limited-ball-joint shoulders) and better paint jobs.

As of right now I wish I’d spent my $30 on something better. Total disappointing, awkward looking, worthless crap.

If you're in your shop and you see these two figs and you're trying to pick one... put them both down and buy the GL Series 1 Kilowog figure. It's amazing. Or the Hal Jordan figure, because it's very good as well. These Alex Ross things just suck ass horribly and I do not reccomend them at all unless you're going to leave them in their boxes (because they look great in the boxes).

Won it on eBay a few weeks ago for $182.50, which works out to be only £97.04, cheaper than anywhere elese I've seen it.

I found Nightcrawler and Bullseye at this other TRU than the one that i normally go to (which only has 6 pegs filled with Weapon X). They had all of wave 9 (save Prof. X and variants) but I dont really need them. I just get what I like. I'm pissed that both figs dont have accessories. NC needs a sword(s) and Bullseye has to have some daggers.

I solved my bullseye problem. I gave him movie punisher's handgun (doesn't fit too well in his hand, but it does the job) and Kraven's small dagger (had to put a little fun-tak on it). Bullseye is definately my fav ML so far. His sculpt is great.

Well after the dissapointment of not finding MKSM 12 at my comic book store. I thought i'd treat my self to a little ML figure so I went to have a look. I looked around nothing much until I looked behind Black Widow and there he was! The one and only Doombot series 8 rerelease!

I got Kilowog from DCD's GL series (mostly 'cause I dig huge, bulky figures for some reason and Kilowog's just the damn coolest GL around), and I really approve. They've actually done a decent job of articulating him, which is more than can be said for most DCD figs.

Today, by some miracle, the local Meijers had actually stocked Marvel legends, and I was able to pick up Deathlok, Gray Hulk, War Machine, Dr. Strange, and Nightcrawler. Professor X and Bullseye are still on preorder from Amazon, though. STrange and Deathlok were as well, but I cancelled them when I picked them up off the rack tonight.

I also picked up a Darth Sidious Unleashed figure.

Cool, good luck with that, you're gonna love that Galactus...I'm gonna go the case route with ML10 I think, just cuz from what I heard the case packouts will net you 2 sentinels, which I really want...It's the only instance I can think of where I'll be hoping NOT to get variants, which is cool, cuz this looks like the first wave where the variants are straight repaints, with no differences in the sculpts whatsoever...if I'm wrong, someone lemme know

Yeah War Machine was the worst! I think he was just a repainted series one Iron Man with a little bit of armor added....i think that is why he looked so chunky

I got a variant Hulk from GAlactus series when I was in Universal Studios in Orlando. They had all of the Galactus series, but at $14 ea and no discount I passed on all but the variant hulk.

Yeah, his articulation is great.

However, it's only a mater of time before I get Ult. Rhino, he is an awesome looking figure.

On the other hand, Lizard really didn't look too nice, and the paint job looked poor.

that peticular lizard fig is a re-used model from 1997. I have him. Im guessing the purple pants was either a prototype or one of the older versions had his pants be a purple color.

That is true. Though many of my stores suck ass and not having a credit card limits my use of eBay. I had a bad experience trading which is why I rarely do it.

All together with shipping it was like $13-$15 off ebay. Not the worst deal ever. I saw a loose Urban Legends Daredevil get up to $25 or so. I kinda helped by jacking up the price purposely for this guy just because I was pissed that he out bid me. Then the guy deleted his ebay account because he probably didn't want to pay somewhere like $30 for the loose Daredevil when he could get the set for 25.

I read a post that said that there's a Prof X chase fig, what he looks like I have no idea. I just wanted to know because I bought two Prof X's (one to open, one to keep) and I just so happen to have gotten the Hulk and Bullseye variants that same day.
