good idea LV...we needed a trivia section for the GR forum. good way for newbies to get some info on the character.

Marvel Spotlight #5, 1972, writer=Gary Friedrich, pencils/ink/cover= Mike Ploog.
(which has btw currently sold for a whopping $4500.00 in rating 9.6 mint condition at a local comic auction site!)

ok...now here be mine....this one is a little tricky.
In what GR issue did the Hulk first make an appearance and how did GR defeat him?

yup...some people accidently say issue 10 (since it does have a Hulk vs GR pic on the cover)..but that issue was simply a reprint of Marvel Spotlight #5. apparantly they couldnt finish the hulk issue on time..heh

if nobody answers the "how was hulk beaten" question in the next day or so i think you should get the "win".

GhostRider surrounded Hulk in fire, thus burning all the oxygen around Hulk so Hulk couldn't breathe.

Very good, done in true Fett Style.
your right, it was a good issue too. I loved the way GR was at the end of that series, awesome stories, more like literature to me :)

Answer * Flagg Fargo *

Ok, I guess I get another turn.

In the Hammer Lane limited series (6 and a half issues), GR only spoke once and only said 2 words. Although it was extremely uncool that GR only said 2 words in the whole limited, What were those 2 words?

FlameHead
03-17-2005, 10:06 AM
Great question, though you had to remind me of The Hammer Crap series didn't you?... grrr. To answer the question (after flipping through the pages of the limited to remind myself) the 2 words he says are "Forgive Yourself". He's speaking to Blaze at the time.

No need to wait for an aswer because I just read the lines from the comic... so I'll go ahead and ask one...

What was the name of the Junkyard that Ghost Rider II (Dan Ketch's) was born?

I was thinking "do better" from issue one half. What issue did you see that in? I mean, I believe you :) I just want to see it.

InVictus

Max Parrish was "technically" "a" GR, and it happened way before the appearance of GRII.
Naomi Kale...huh i forgot her...but she was also GR host and before Danny discover of the bike.... i am talking about a "not GR host" character that rode on GRII bike alone...

Close but no cigar! It was issue number 3 from the 70's series. You will notice issue 1 2 the bike had no flames & on issue 3 they decided his bike needed an overhaul thus adding the hellfire to it. Now since you bring up the Cowboy Ghost Rider ( the Dick Ayers classic ) I ask you this. What company published the first Ghost Rider series ( cowboy GR )? & what was the inspiration for his character? :yellow:

Actually Doc, I had no idea when you'd be back. Thought you weren't as regular as you are...

Well, actually I am a regular reader of the threads, I just don't post that often (the silent type :) )...and since I am a big Ghost Rider fan: this forum is a must, right?

Wikipedia says: Daredevil is the right answer, NDX:up:

Glad to hear you visit often Doc and you're right. The more GR fans we have, the better I say.

Daredevil eh? Now that I've heard the answer, it does sound familiar. Maybe I did know that.

Doc, I say you go ahead and ask. When escape comes back, he'll get his turn.

I believe the character was meant to be a villain for was Daredevil.

If this is right, just have someone else ask a question. Too bogged down to think of one.

you got it. That was quick.

Well, since NDX seems to be busy...

Sorry, but you will probably have to search your collections for this one :) ...
but exercise is good for your health ;)

In the story "Concrete Jungle" Ghost Rider 2099 gets trapped in some sort of cage. How many monsters surround him in the last panel?

"Shockin' terrific..."

 ...too hard a question? I say thee nay...

Hmmm...probably you are all too lazy to look up that issue, right? ;)
No "Ghost Rider 2099"-fans out there?

Okay, maybe someone could at least identify the artist of that issue?

It was prolly Kyle Hotz, right?

I don't have enough GR2099's in my collection. I'm sure I could find the info online though, it's much more fun to get it on your own...

That's right.
...and although I don't like all the things he's done, that panel/page I was referring to looks "Shockin' terrific!" (which is also GR2099's speech ballon, by the way).
Wonder if someone will still find the answer to the original question, but anyway, str8raz0r, get this thread going and ask the next question.

OK, kinda easy, but here goes:

In GR Annual #2, Johnny Blaze meets up with an old acquaintance at a truck stop...who might that person be?

isnt it a witch from the origional ghost rider? im just guessing off the top of my head.

RabidWolfe

It's the Witch Woman, Linda Littletree(s).

That orginal story had so many twists and turns, it seemed to be written by throwing darts at plot points.

However, it did introduce the Son of Satan (Hellstorm).

EDIT: Oh - someone else already said it.

^^^The68Pie got the basic idea first, RabidWolfe, but you got the full name(s).

Either of ya can post now. You both get cookies in my book.

Okay - I'll go next.

Who is Frank Ryder? (in GR comics, obviously)

Jim Mooney?

FlameHead

Hmm... that's strange. I just had a look at the site that I usually use for this kinda stuff and it says Gil Kane and Jim Mooney.

http://www.comics-db.com/comic-book/1046254-Ghost_Rider_1.html

Not to say that site is 100% correct.

Here's another link that supports "Gil Kane & Joe Sinnot" as an answer:

No worries man. I'm not disputing the answering and I'm sure if BG sees this in the future, he'll be able to confirm things.

We'll continue w/ the trivia eh?

Who almost persuaded Dan's mom that he could bring Barbara back?

Ixnay Unbound

That would be Reverend Styge, the second Sin-Eater.
