I think that storyline is one of the greats with pete being cloned and ben reilly appearing as the Scarlet Spider, could lead to peter taking sum more "him" time and progressing with mary jane maybe even getting married only to have ben reilly killed forcing pete to pick up the old costume to avenge his clones death, i kno its different from the comic version but i like the character of ben reilly an think he'd make a unique element to spideys universe

Here's an idea. Maybe they could do the Jackal/Cloning and combine it with a Sins Past storyline too. :p ;)

Hey DarkAzrael. I'm not going to be mean to you but Fanboys hate the clone saga. As do I. I and others hope to God that never makes it to the big screen.

It's too complicated of a storyline for a two or three hour movie.
Not that I necessarily want to see it, but comic stories that take more than six issues to tell need a mini-series to tell the story adequately.

Only if we can have a spider-buggy, Aunt May's death and resurrection, and Norman Osborn and Gwen Stacy's bastard children in the same movie.Then it would be cool.

oh well, guess thats that then lol, just trying to come up wi a diff idea since it all seems to be about the lizard and venom not that i don't find them interesting but its all that seems to get talked about just wanted a bit of variation, its nice tho that so many people are against it yet don't say why but thats what i've noticed a lot around here(not just on this forum btw), i'm allowed my own opinion and i'd like to hope it i told sum1 y their idea sucked i'd explain yi wouldn't consider myself a fan boy but i do kno a lot about spidey even tho i have hardly any posts so am not a complete newb

But one thing I will say is that, if you want to be treated like a mature poster, you should try writing proper sentences, rather than just having one long sentence. Can you imagine saying all that you said in that last post without taking a breath?

i know a couple of ways to have the scarlet spider in a spidey movie and have NOTHING TO DO with clones
how ?have ss as either a tv show movie character[pete passes a movie theater advertising a scarlet spider movie or catches a glimpse of his show on tv or seeing him on a tv wrestling showas a wrestler

I like the Scarlet Spider costume and I really didn't mind the clone saga story even though the whole thing was basically the writer's yelling "We're out of ideas!".It killed the comics,it would kill the movies.But,it will never happen with Raimi directing and I can't see Sony replacing him.
