Thanks, It took a lot of time drawing the body that way. It`s easy to get the muscles right, but it`s hard to make it seem as if there`s spandex over it.
But in the end, it`s probably the most realistic picture of Superman I`ve ever made.

Thank you, I appreciate it. The hair isn`t really as hard to draw as it looks. I`ve been working on drawing hair realistically for a while now, to merge it with actual photos like the Welling one here. It`s quite easy to do when you get the hang of it.

One thing, for everyone making manips, not anyone in particular...
I've seen some manips of Welling on Deviantart where someone put a high-and-tight haircut on him, and he looks so much older.
Anyone want to consider doing that to see how it looks?
And I, for one, commend Ms. Lane on her bold fashion statement of not wearing a shirt.

And I'm not putting anybodys work down at all because everybody has done a better job than I could do. Well I'm not sure I know how to do it. I also like the first picture by Mike22.

Actually routh isnt. Its clear from robinov's comments last month. SR failed and they are going in a new and different direction. Which means its going to be a complete and total clean slate. You are not going to hire an actor who was in the failed product to return. Its bad idea.

As always I love your manips. Cool beans. However I have one gripe that I tend to usually have with your manips & that is, you seem to make Welling's head seem so small compared to the rest of him. He kinda looks like the shrunken headed beetle juice. Other than that, props again on a fantastic manip. :yay:

I had to manip the suit, hair and neck on every single one, it was a pain in the ass, but I'm pleased as hell with the end result. I initially made it with the intention of using it as my avatar, but it was to damn big for it.

All My Thanks to all the contributors to this thread. It's actually a good thing, now that, with Season 7, we have a Clark that could conceivably become Superman! it's great to see what he could actually look like.

But if I could make a request of someone, I have one sketch that I'd love to have a good Tom head on. I'm going to make a custom figure of him, but there's no Welling head big enough for the figure. At least I'd like a picture of what he might look like. I'll post it later. If anyone would try tweaking it I'd really appreciate it

First off, thanks to everyone for the pleasant comments.
This is the first time that I draw such a haircut on Clark, because in this picture I wanted to illustrate what a "cool" Clark might look like, since this is probably what he will end up looking like on smallville. Think of this as the Clark from the animated series. And also I made Lex look a bit older. The superman pose I'm sure most of you guys will recognise as a Reeve picture, but I did add Wellings proportions of course, a new shield and belt, and changed the briefs slightly.
I didn't want to simply manip all of this together with a photo as it takes some of the classic look away from it, so I drew it from scratch, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
Oh yeah, and from now on, I think I might just stick to making these drawings in Black and White, it's easier and takes less time.

Colour is great, but your black & whites look terrifically slick, too. Love that hairstyle on Clark, I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route on the show. Better than having him wear it that way as Supes, ala "Lois & Clark." The shield does look like it's sitting a little low to me. Whatevs... amazing work, as ever. :up:

yea photoshop takes time to get into knowing how to do/use all its wonderful features, i took a class on photoshop a few yrs ago though i wasnt that good at it myself and i dont have the program on my laptop or back home on family pc to practice on.

This particular manip was meant to focus on these three and not the rest of the league, but it did cross my mind to do a full JL manip while I was making this one.

And don't forget Bale as Bats. :)
Of course, Bale is pure awesome as Batman and definetly one of my favorites. I have a Superman/Batman picture in the working, but I'm not entirely sure what costume to put on Batman, the spandex one or the rubber suit.

Hehe, Thanks Steve. The flash was originally low-rez that I resized to match the other two, so it looks a bit blurry at certain areas.

yea its a very cool and interesting look though i dont think fans would like to see superman decked with leather he isnt xmen/dd(movies where they had leather suits)
