In fact whenever they met in the 70's - 80's Spidey would be very worried

Spidey is always worried :p And many people have beaten Spidey more than once :up: It still doesn't make Morbius special ;)

Thing is, Ray being telekinetic, could just knock Polaris out by putting pressure on her brain, or break her neck (the latter she wouldn't do however)

Polaris either has to throw something, or manipulate the iron in Ray's blood, and that takes a little while longer then feeling pressure on your brain, or being outright telepathically subdued.

Tough one. Husk is the only person that could touch Penance. And if we're talking about the post "M" crisis where the twins became Penance, it'd be super hard for Husk. Unless of course Husk became that alien rubber. Then she'd dance circles around Penance, then become diamond and lay her the ever loving beatdown. Pre "M" crisis Penance. Husk would just become diamond and beat her down straight on.

I have concluded that Marvel and Nelso realized the horrible mistake they made and buried all evidence of the Illuminator, but I do have some ideas on how to remake him. the new favor is that I need a villain that would be New Avenger material, or at least need a team up. the stipulation is that he needs to be inter-dimensional, and able to toss people into other universes.

Here is some info on Penance's powers...She definatley wouldn't go down easy...

Known superhuman powers: Penance is a mutant whose molecular structure has atrophied, collapsing within itself until every part of her body now has the density of diamond. This leaves every edge of her body, including hair and fingers, sharp enough to be capable of cutting through stone. Her dense body also leaves Penance highly resistant to physical injury, and anyone striking Penance without protection will probably cause injury to themself.

well...i'm impartial to who I want to win, but I think Husk would win...I did vote for her after all. Husk and Archangel? yea haha she was 18 and he was 28. Powers: Mr. Fantastic's body is too pliable for the energy blasts to do any lasting harm. not to mention with his power it is easy to evade and get in close where Cyclops' power is nulled.

without powers: while Cyclops is probably trained some in a few fighting disiplines, he could easily be out thought by Reed Richards.

cyclops, he's too tactically sound to lose. he evaluates and re-evaulates the situation while mr. fantastic needs time to think, test his actions over and over, and he doesnt react quick enough. he's not taken seriously without the other three.

Cyke would destroy Reed.

Reed is probably the greatest scientific mind but Cyke is probably the second greatest tactician.

he would either as mentioned above get him to stretch far enough where he was far more suceptible to force.

Also if Mr. F doesn't see an attack or expect it he can be knocked out or hurt just as easily as anyone else.

In FF X-men wWolverine went Bezerk when Reed refused to save Kitty and attacked reed while he was standing very close and actually gave him a black eye.

Cyke would own the silly putty man.

Cyclops...he is a much better tactiction then Mr. F and while mrlf can take some punishment even he wouldn't be able to take too many of cyclops blasts, and up close fighting would not nullify his optic blasts, that would only do more damage to mr. f.

Yeah, Cyclops blast can shatter a mountain side at full force...I don't think Mr Fantastics body could absorb that kind of impact. Even if he could absorb the force, his body would not be able to handle the heat from the blast.

Okay, the heat matter in Cyclop's blast. technically there isn't any heat, although from time to time there is. its only supposed to be a concussive blast.

Mr. Fantastic's body and deform and flatten and stretch to unbelievable proportions. I think he could most definitely handle a point-blank optic blast. but I thought getting in close would nullify the cyclops' blasts because he would have less time to reach for his visor to trigger the blasts. also, Reed likes to wrap his enemies up, restricting theirm movement, thus taking his optic beams out of the game.

I think Spider-Man is a match for either Cap or Wolverine, not to mention I'm pretty sure he's laid the smack down on Wolvie already at some point.

DD, neither Cap or Wolvie could touch him. his senses are better than Wolverine's and one of his more famous villains was a guy who throws small objects to kill him. I doubt DD would get hit by the shield.

Cap isn't as smart as Peter, he is probably a better tactician in advanced palns, but Spider-Man has made a career out of flying by the seat of his pants and coming out on top. plus with all his science and math knowledge, I'm pretty sure he can find a way to get Cap hit by his own shield.

Wolverine, yeah, he's got the claws, and a healing factor and a wealth of fighting knowledge. But, he has almost no range unless he has someone with a great deal of strength do a fastball special. Cap MAY be strong enough for this, but wouldn't do it. Wolvie also, while he is a common character in team ups, I don't see him working too well on a team. not really. Spidey, while a loner frequently teams up with better fighters and I'm sure he could take cues from DD if nececsary.

I gotta give this to DD and Spidey. great match up Sparta.

Since Proteus actually alters and warps reality, and mastermind uses illusion..and we really don't know if mastermind can affect proteus....but anyway I will go with Proteus.

No contest. Proteus' mind existed on a higher plain, he was entirely energy based. I doubt Mastermind's illusions could fool him for a second, let alone actually reach him. especially the Proteus that was bonded with Piecemeal. with Piecemeal he would be capable to track the psionic energies back to MM, not to mention recognize that there were no energies coming from whatever was being show to him.

Proteus would then warp MM into nothing. this is no contest in my opinion.

Good match-up....Longshot has super human agility, blade weapons that can be thrown, and his probability altering power (good luck) ...Black Panther, while not having any powers is in the peak physical shape, and his costume made from a vibranium weave helps quite a bit, along with his claw weapon.

However, I believe that Longshots agility,and his probability altering power would give him the edge so my vote goes to Longshot.

Well since Vibranium absorbs energy, and is nigh indestructible, I believe that cancels out Longshot's blade weapons. I think they are probably at similar levels of agility, but Black Panther is probably stronger. plus he would be able to use either type of environtment (jungle or tech) to his advantage.

I'm going to say skill beats Luck anyday of the week.

Ever read the "What if Spider-Man kept the smybiote?"

Well, in that reality, Spidey kicked a whole bunch of ass, and eventually the symbiote ended up on Thor, only to be killed by Black Bolt.

Anyway, Spidey should be augmented to twice his normal power if you go by what the symbiote can do now. 20 ton press isn't so much.

However, he'll also be too fast for Hulk to hit, and too agile as well.

I don't think EITHER could win realistically. However, if Hulk gets lucky and hits Peter, Peter is in serious trouble.

I won't vote, but if I did, I'd slightly lean towards Hulk, thing is, for me, its just too different for this to be voted on.

They can't really hurt one another realistically.

Well the Hulk being showen is the smart Hulk and Bruce Banner ain't no dummy so I don't think Spidey is going to be winning this with his brain. 1. Spidey can't hurt him 2. Spidey can't just tie him up with his webs. Yes it would take a while for Hulk to hit him but once he does it's over.

This thing peter said may not have to do with Spider-Man actually defeating the Hulk as the Hulk, but maybe as Banner, or if the Hulk, could be gas or some trickery like calming the Hulk down. Just because Peter said it, though, doesn't mean he could defeat the Hulk. But based on past fights, Hulk thunderclapping and defeating Spider-Man hurting his ears, yes, without even touching him, and Spider-Man admitted he was out of the fight (Hulk ended up fighting somebody else who was also battling the Hulk at the time), etc.. You gotta go with the Hulk.

the hulk would just make a lot of noise and shatter the symbiote right off of lil spidey.even if he allowed the suit to stay on spidey for the whole fight, the hulk would kill spidey in one blow. and what is this about spidey being too fast. last time i checked, the hulk could jump from state to state, so you spider-man whores out there should just be realistic about the situation. we're talking about the INCREDIBLE HULK here, not harry potter.
