We're talking about the smartest man on the planet, second only to Reed Richards, and the second best sorcerrer as well, second only to Dr. Strange.

But he would have to prepare for that, right? Magneto is an all powerful mutant. I don't even think there is competition. And I'm not even a Magneto fan :p

Doom probably already has prepared. He's met Magneto and seen what he's capable of several times. He must've thought to construct his armor out of some non-magnetic material or figured out a way to nullify the magnetic field around it or something. The guy created an effective means of travel to Heaven, for Christ's sake. No pun intended.

Man, this would be one hell of a battle. Gambit is one of my favorite x-men, but I don't think he would win this fight, so I'm going to vote for Archangel.

Gambit's got ranged attacks and Archangel's got wings, pretty much. I like Archangel a hell of a lot more (excluding everything Austen did with him, of course) but I don't really see how he'd win the fight without any practical offensive capabilities.

Wouldn't you agree that he has tremendous amounts of experience fighting enemies with ranged attacks?

He has far more experience fighting ground based energy weilders, than Gambit has fighting experienced airborne opponents.

I like the Cajun alot but I have to go with Archangel.

By the way does his blood still heal??

Never liked that.

That falls under Austen f***wittage, which should never be mentioned again in my opinion. Especially not the weird BDSM costume he wore when Asamiya came on. Ick.

I don't know what kind of experience they have with fighting the types of opponents they are. But a large portion of Archangel's experience dealing with ranged opponents comes from his time with the metal wings, when he had ranged attacks of his own. Gambit would be more experienced overall, considering he was trained as a fighter and a thief since his childhood. Don't know about flying people though, and I don't know how he fights now since I hate Gambit and stay away from stuff with him.

If Archangel had his real wings he would probably lose, but if he had his metal wings, he could unleash an arsenal of blades, fly rings around Gambit, and just give the Cajun a good run for his money. Gambit isn't a chump, but I don't think he would be able to hit someone that could fly around really fast and counterattack just as fast. He would have to be on the defensive alot, which isn't Gambits game.

Just so you know Xavier can transform the Astral plane at will.

Strange does have Magic but on the AP he has a severe disatvantage.

Telepaths are like residents and Sorcerer's are like visitors there.

Actually she is

Strange taps into power from other Gods like Agamatto.

He might be able to dispell her with the eye but he is in no way more powerful

Beyond that he is the Master of the Mystic Arts in Asgard

Loki would waste him.

The fact that they generate their own magic power and Strange doesn't hasn't really affected Strange as far as I've seen. If Strange needs the power, he knows where to get it. He's done much more impressive stuff with his magic than I've ever seen the Enchantress do.

Kicking Dormammu's ass consistently is a good one. Dormammu generates his own magic power, just like the Enchantress and the Asgardians, plus he draws more power from an entire dimension of worshippers. I don't really know too much about Strange myself, but I know he's done some impressive stuff with the Defenders, too.

I don't know a whole lot about Strange, and less of X-Man. but here is my rundown

Telepathy and magic are almost inseperable at times. the things I have read Xavier do with his telepathy and the thigns I imagine Strange doing... well there you go. if X-Man is more powerful than Pheonix, I can imagine him doing impressive things with his telepathy and telekineisis.

the determining factor I can see is the items. X-Man's powers are based on his powers. Strange knows a number of spells, but also has numerous magical artifacts, IE: Eye of Agamotto, which would be highly protective against a telepath as it dispells illusions which are a telepath's bread-and-butter. also we know he can invade minds with the best of them as he drops in on Spidey's dream just before Peter faces the second task of Ezekial's three.

also, if X-Man's powers are limited to telepathy and telekineisis, Dr. Strange has another advantage; variety. its the difference between having a bazooka, and having one sword, one shotgun, one handgun, and one grenade. you have to have variety. even if X-Man has extremely strong telekineisis and telepathy, Dr. Strange has many other ways to get at him. he can conjur whatever X-Man's deepest fears are, and make them real, not just some illusion.

personally, I'll go with Strange, but as I said, I don't know X-Man.

I'm not an SW fan (although durool durool) Its just comic logic. SW's probablity powers give her an advantage in any fight, not to mention she knows honest to god real magic. Storm is limited to her mutant abilities and the fighting skills she has picked up over the years.

I will have to put my vote in with Betsy. Lorna, while she did train with Magneto, it has been made clear over the years that she is not of his level of power. Betsy is a high level telepath, and telekinetic, with the Psionic knife thingy. also she is a high level martial artists and assassin. Lorna, while very strong and trained with her powers, just isn't going to win, although she will be tough to beat.

I would have to say that it would be Sandman. sand moving at high speed can strip flesh. also he could pour himself into Rhino's airpassages suffocating him (hey, SM is a bad guy).

Rhino has basically only physical attacks, while on most enemies they are devestating, on Sand-Man they are useless as chargin Sand-Man would simply cause him to dissapate into his sand form, in which he is far more lethal.

I don't like to say this about anyfight, but this one

Sand-Man hands down.

okay, I will have to give this to Scorpion due to the variety of his attacks. he and Shocker are pretty much on the same brain level, but Scorpion has inhanced strength, agility, wall crawl, plus the lazer/acid/blade/wrapping tail. while shocker does have a good ranged weapon, Scorpion and work ranged and melee.
