I vote Grimm for two reasons,

One: the Staff of one was said to "have made the Dread Dormamuu tremble"

two: she wordlessly creates an image of Alex in her hand, showing budding talent of her own.

oh, heck, here's a third one, THree: She's not afraid to get in there and scrap with the best of 'em (Have you seen how sharp my Stilletto's are.

hey, I"m on a roll, so here's four: fashion. I"m sorry, but Nico has the best clothes.

TheCorpulent1
12-14-2005, 07:55 AM
I'd have to go with Nico too. While Billy definitely appears to have boatloads of power at his disposal (probably more raw mystical power than Nico, in fact), Nico seems to have more control over her powers. Billy has to chant commands for like 10 seconds before anything even happens, which has gotten him into trouble before, but Nico can just make up a rhyme and cast a spell instantly.

I vote for Sister Grimm.

Silver Sable
12-14-2005, 10:06 AM
Grimm

Zoken
12-14-2005, 10:11 AM
she doesn't have to rhyme even, the Staff of One takes simple one word or phrase commands and obeys the the caster. Now the draw back is that as of yet, Nico has been unable to repeat spells, this could be a bit of a problem, but luckily as her fashion flair shows, she is an imaginative girl, lets hope that extends into her spell casting.

also, if we're gonna talk team, Nico has it down. Chase and the leap frog can take out stature, Molly can put down the Hulkling, have gert sic Old Lace on Patriot, Victor can take Knightress down, and of course Molly schools Wiccan on some hurtin'... although truth be told, Wiccan could probably teach Nico a thing or two about spell casting.

TheCorpulent1
12-14-2005, 10:25 AM
Individually, I'd give it to Nico, but teams? The only reason that I think the Runaways would take the Young Avengers is because of the numerical advantage. I doubt Molly could take Hulkling given that he's strong enough to deck the Super-Skrull and he's apparently a shapeshifter of the highest order. The only problem is that if Wiccan takes Sister Grimm, Hulkling takes Molly, Cassie takes Chase and the Leapfrog, and Patriot takes Old Lace, that leaves Kate all alone against Victor or Karolina and one member of the Runaways unaccounted for. Now, if the Vision were an official member of the Young Avengers already, it'd be a whole different story. Vision could probably take down half of the Runaways single-handed.

Zoken
12-14-2005, 12:06 PM
Well, there isn't a person unaccounted for because A: Karolina is off with her own super-skrull, and Gert goes with Old Lace, so there for. and Molly could totally take Hulkling.

TheCorpulent1
12-14-2005, 01:38 PM
If we're going by current rosters, there'd still be someone unaccounted for because Patriot quit the Young Avengers. And Molly is nowhere near strong enough to put Hulkling down in one punch, which is what she'd need to do because at the strength level she'd have to achieve, she'd probably only get one punch off before falling asleep for the rest of the day.

and another important question, is this the Juggy thats sharing his powers with Black Tom, the more recent Juggy incarnation (The good one), or is it good ol', Bad ol' Juggy at full power?

any way you slice it, Hulk wins, but not an easy victory if its the fully powered Juggy.

you know, I'm changing my vote, Juggarnaut (I thought he had a lower strength rating than Hulk did, but they are both Class 100). also Juggy has more reasoning power than savage Hulk has. factor in the near invincibilty that his armor provides, also the fact that no known force can actually stop him once he starts moving in his chosen direction, Juggy can take it (When he's at full power).

By the way, about the Hulk vs. Juggernaut.....since Hulk is dumb as a stump Juggernaut would just convince him that they are on the same side (he's done it before) and calm Hulk down. He might even calm him back to Banner form then the fight's a done deal.

Silicon Surfer
12-16-2005, 01:41 PM
Captain Britain is not a terribly effective fighter and could probably manage to lose to Katie Power; but would defeat Ghost Rider most of the time on brute force. Juggernaut would certainly defeat the Hulk since brute force cannot injure him no matter its intensity. the Hulks strength starts out at the class 75 level so he has to get fairly angry just reach the level that Juggy starts out at. In addition the hulk, like the rest of us, cannot stay enraged forever . When his rage ends he drops back to class 75 level and Juggy does whatever his demented mind feels like to a Hulk that can no longer effectively fight back. Throwing Juggernaut away also fails since he can resist magically unless surprised and careless.

Obviously then, the bullet didn't kill him. Its possible to be shot in the head and not die. I can see how the trauma of getting shot would trigger the transformation. I think the Juggernaut could kill Banner. As soon as Juggs acted like his best buddy, Hulk calmed down and reverted back to Bruce, Juggs could easily kill him with a Class 100 punch to the head, or anywhere else for that matter. The impact would be so devastating (think about an egg being hit by a sledgehammer) that the brain would be instantly destroyed and wouldn't have time to change Banner back to the Hulk. I think this is something that Juggs would do since its common knowledge that Bruce and the Hulk are the same guy. :venom:

Doc Ock. smarter, and his primary powers can switch from offensive to defensive as fast as he can think. the only defense the Goblin has is his armor, which doesn't do too much in the way of protecting him. also, Otto has a better ranged attack, though Gobby's explosives could be a sticky issue.

How could Goblin win? Any pumpkin bombs that he can throw at Ok will just be thrown back at him. Even if he retreats into the air on his glider, Ock will just swat him like a fly with his tentacles.

Suleman

Doc Ock's tentacles are just too fast. He can swat aside all Gobby's weapons and use them as a fan to get rid of gas weapons. And since Ock is fast enough to tag Spidey, GG can't even get close.

Very tough decision to make here, but I will go with the Green Goblin. I feel that even though they are both formidable fighters, the Goblin has more of a killer instinct plus he's a total loon. Even though Doc Ock has the tentacles that would protect him against most attacks the Goblin still has those electrically charged gloves, and incendiary pumpkin bombs. Doc's arms would be able to wave away gas but not the heat from those bombs (which are capable of melting through a 3 inch sheet of steel) and they would actually conduct the electricity back to him. Against most of Spidey's other foes, I'd go with Doc but not this time. Goblin all the way. :venom:

p.s. Doc Ock has also shown pity and compassion which are good traits to have unless you're fighting a nutjob like the Goblin, then they are liabilities.

As much as I love Marvel, they dropped the ball on the electricity. Doc's arms are made of metal. That electricity should have travelled through them and fried Doc where he stood. That would be like saying that Wolverine's can deflect electricity with his claws. The pumpkin bombs in the picture are not the bombs that I read about apparently. Ok, his arms would be able to handle the heat from the blast but he wouldn't. Doc's still only human and if the bombs generate enough heat to melt steel then I'm sure they could melt Doc Ock too. Besides, that is clearly NOT the Green Goblin in that picture. We're talking two entirely different entities. No goblin (Green, Hob, or Demo) has even come close to being as evil and maniacal as Norman Osborne. :venom:

1. Whether it is marvel or real life, this shows proof that he could handle electricity. It might defy logic but I am sure marvel could explain some reasoning.
2. Hobgoblin might not be as much of a threat as GG but the bombs are exactly the same since Hobbie had stole the weapons from the original Goblin.
3. Doc Ock can fight off Vulture, Electro, Sandman, Hobgoblin, and Mysterio at the same time....I am not sure I could say that GG could do the same thing.

I can post more pictures if you want but SM can barely get through the arms, sometimes he can't, I can't imagine GG doing the same thing no matter how evil and maniacal he is. Plus his arms can extend 24' away so GG would not even come close to him, although Doc Ock can take some good hits from SM.

Hmm, well while I do agree with corp, I also feel this battle could go a few different ways. If it's just a toe to toe battle of power. I think it comes out a draw, although I do feel Norrin has the potential to posses more power, as we have had glimpses of (Infinity War power surge and him possibly being The Fallen One).

But if this fight heads into the strategy and wits department Thanos is all over Norrin.

So it's either a tie or Thanos.
