Its Psylocke in my opinion because Ms. Marvel would have to reach Betsy to hit her, and that I just don't see happening. she has the skills of a trained assassin, and telepathy. Ms. Marvel would be going down.

As much as I love Psylocke, she does have to touch Ms. Marvel with that psychic knife for it to be effective. I'm assuming that Ms. Marvel has enough resistence to psychic attacks to make this a decent fight so I'll give it to her. All she has to do fly down and snatch Psylocke up and shoot straight up in the sky. Betsy can use that psychic knife if she wants to, but I guarantee when they both fall it won't be Betsy who eventually wakes up. Either that or Ms. Marvel could just throw cars (or anything heavy) at Betsy, it might take a bit but she'll eventually get hit by one of them and that's all it will take. :venom:

I made some research on both characters and found out that the bouncy material around Speedball protected him from any impact making him quite invulnerable. Sunspot on the other hand is super strong but vulnerable. So my conclusion is that Speedball can knock Sunspot with one powerful bounce.

Thus I change my vote to SPEEDBALL!:)

Alright, I wanted to say this tomorrow, but I posted this match-up early so here it is...

Now onto the battle...and what a battle it would be...X-men Blue team vs the X-men Gold team. Please refer to the official roster below intead of the pictures because some things are changed (Colossus instead of Prof X on the Gold, and Wolverine instead of Sabretooth on the Blue...also Jubilee is taken off the Blue team to make it an even 6 on 6)

Gotta go with the Gold Team. They have the two most powerful mutants in this fight (Jean Grey, Storm), plus Bishop presents a serious matchup problem for Cyclops.

Here's a breakdown:
-Jean shuts down Rogue telepathically before she can get close enough to drain anyone's powers.
-Colossus fastball specials Bishop straight at Cyclops, whose blasts just get absorbed.
-Storm blows Gambit's cards right back in his face
-Even Beast's superagility won't be enough to dodge all Archangel's razor-feathers
-Iceman pins Wolverine under a huge block of ice (especially with Storm giving him all the extra moisture he needs)
-Psylocke maybe nails someone with her psychic knife before Jean gets around to kicking her ass.

Trust me, I must have mapped out this fight a million different ways when I was a kid, and the Gold Team always wins. Jean in particular is just too powerful. Even back in the Blue and Gold team era, when she wasn't the Phoenix, Jean could pick up an opponent and casually toss them a few miles away. More to the point, she can hold back Cyclops' blasts with her TK (she did it once when he lost his visor) -- if she wanted she could just telekinetically force him to blast each of his teammates. Or else, one blast of telekinetic force from Jean, or blast of hurricane force winds from Storm, would be enough to knock out everyone on the Blue Team except Rogue and possibly Wolverine.

If it was the current incarnation of Iceman, rather than the '90s version, then this fight isn't even that close.

Gold - hands down. I mean, this wouldn't even be close. Jean and Colossus alone tip the scales enough to keep the Blue Team from even mounting a charge. Add HEAVY air support from Storm and Warren and, well, just all sorts of long-range mayhem from Bishop and Iceman, and this thing is over.

Jean is definatley the most important person in this battle. She can mess up a lot of people by herself and also provide a lot of defense. She would overpower psylocke in a mental showdown. Heaven help the blue team if cyclops or gambit take on Bishop, because he'd shoot back everything they toss at him. Storm redirects a whirlwind of Archangel's wing blades towards the blue team, as well as dishing out a mad lightning storm, and Iceman cleans up the rest...I think it would be an amazing battle...but I think the gold team would win it.

What I was trying to say(and what I though I said) was that in a One on One matchup Wolverine and Cyclops could defeat any members of the gold team except for jean... during a six on six brawl however, I dont think any one person would be that much of a factor (again except for Ms. Grey). Thats why i gave the edge to the trio of Bishop, Bobby and The Ruskie... I didnt mean that Logan and Scott could take on all of them at once and win.... sorry for the double post

I have to say Sparta, this is one of the best match-ups in the whole thread!:up: And it would be VERY hard to determine the victor because both are really well balanced teams. This is the way I see it:

Cyclops vs. Storm = Storm, she has beaten him before…

Psylocke vs. Jean Grey = As much as I love Psylocke, I have to say Jean Grey. Both are exceptionally powerful telepaths, but I must admit Jean is more powerful, and the fact that Psylocke is a martial arts expert does not benefit her at all seeing how Jean has telekinesis to boot.

Rogue vs. Colossus = Colossus. Brute versus brute, and the fate is, Colossus is much stronger than Rogue.

Beast vs. Archangel = Beast. As long as Archangel stays in the sky, he’s okay, but as soon as he is in range; Beast’s agility and superhuman strength will overcome him.

Gambit vs. Iceman = Iceman wins this one.

Bishop vs. Wolverine = Wolverine has taken down guys much tougher than Bishop, he won’t be much of an obstacle for him.

It seems Team Gold has a slight advantage, making them my choice for the victors in the battle (though my favorite is Team Blue).

Psylocke - psychic stab to the brain - another one hit kill
Beast - fast and strong keeps people distracted
Gambit - i wonder.. would he be able to charge up Colossus armored phase?
Rogue - she'll end up being a brawler
Wolverine - won't give up till he wins.
