I miss Thor :( The first Marvel comics I've ever read was his. Unfortunately, I read theone issue that didn't have Thor per se. It was the first meeting between Drago, Eric Masterson, and Beta Ray Bill.

I'm gonna go with Thor and the Surfer as well. They've both fared pretty well against Thanos on their own and either of them could probably take Loki (though the Surfer would have considerably more trouble with him because of his magic). They know how dangerous both Thanos and Loki are, too, so they wouldn't be holding back.

He's the Mutant X version of Beast. Stronger, tougher, and amphibious, but dumb as a post. Actually, the version of the Brute I was thinking of was the original. He was the Reed Richards of Counter Earth. Stronger than the Thing as well as fast and agile, He also had superhuman senses. I wasn't aware of the one from Mutant X since I never bought that book. He was last seen entering the negative zone to return the cosmiic control rod to Annihilus. This was the same story that introduced Captain Color Blind.. err Captain Ultra. My vote goes to Thor and the Surfer

The problem with any match including Thanos is that his power level is all over the place. Thanos has lost to the Surfer in Infinity Watch.Early on the Surfer lost to Loki. Loki then added his power to the Surfers and they both lost to Thor. Thor is weaker than Odin. Yet Thanos has been shown to be able to match Odin. In one appearance he at the low end of the Cosmics and in another he is a full order of magnitude more powerful.

No, the power levels are usually based on late 80's early 90's, or the version that they are most commonly known as (most mainstream version)

Unehanced by other entities I think Thanos is the weakest of the lot. This is a big advantage that can make up for power.

To quote from uncannyxmen.net's summary:

When it starts to rain, Storm pretends that it is her doing as the villains do not know that she no longer has her powers and Rachel backs her up, by lifting her telekinetically as if she was flying herself. Spiral sees through the ploy and takes out Rachel. Rogue tries to absorb Spiral, but the sorceress has the stronger will and takes control of Rogue’s body. Spiral/Rogue knocks out Colossus with her strength and magically screws up Kitty’s power – the X-Men are defeated.

Stark, Iron Man and the Hulk were both avengers together. Tony knows what the Hulks powers are (he did make the HB suit after all). Given no prep time, I think Tony could keep the Hulk busy long enough for his powers to where off. Then it's a peice o' cake.

If he had the hulkbuster suit it would be more of a slobber knocker.....

If he doesn't, it will still be a brawl but Iron Man will be more versatile and agile but weaker so he will have to use his gadgets and mind to pull out the win....

I think brains over brawn in this match.....I am sure Tony would figure out something to beat Hulk, plus I wouldn't doubt that he has something already in place in his suit to disable the Hulk.....

They have had some even matchups in the past nonetheless, and if Tony doesn't have to fight him physically he can just use one of his gadgets....

If you go down further, there's a couple of times where Tony took out SS (of course he took himself out too with the blast but he did manage to do it.)

I haven't read the secret wars but I thought I heard that it granted those that were there what they truly wanted. ie Thing becoming human again.

So if Hulk truly wanted to get out of there, could that be why?
