I've always had a problem with that issue. It was one of those moments in comics where I thought, "Oh, come on now!" I know comics aren't suppose to be realistic....but, make it a little believable. Didn't you have a problem believing that scene?

Yeah, I was a little shocked when I read it...but none the less, it's canon...it did happen, and it does show just how powerful the Hulk can get. Don't get me wrong, I like Iron Man as a character...more then the Hulk for that matter, I just don't think it's in the cards for him to beat Hulk :o

I didn't have a problem with it. Ignoring the obvious physical impracticalities of a single, 7- or 8-foot-tall being lifting an entire mountain range, it still fell within acceptable suspension of disbelief for me. The Hulk is the supreme physical powerhouse, ergo he should be able to lift pretty much anything.

Now, when he started punching through time and dimensions, on the other hand, that's when I threw my hands up and declared the Hulk utterly ridiculous. :o

Plus, iron man, even with no prep time, has enough money and is smart enough to figure out a way to win, and in that issue i dont think the Avengers would have fought to there full potential seeing how Hulk is an avenger himself.

Not really, Iron Man is always trying to improve his capabilities and armours. He wouldn't need the HB, although that suit is made to directly combat the Hulk with less effort.

Iron Man is a lot tougher than some like to acknowledge and he has beaten savage hulk, so it's certainly not an automatic win in either case.

Back in Thunderstrike, Hela once confronted Mephisto about his tampering in the affairs of Eric Masterson and his boy. She threatened to start a war between their two realms. And, in the Mephisto Versus series, Mephisto discovers Hela is taking over portions of his realm, and he is powerless unless he can get the soul of Thor. So, from what I understand, this isn't as easy a match as it may seem. And, Hela definitely can make Mephisto fear her.

My vote goes for Hela.

Devilhulk, I'm sorry your favorite character lost. And, just to let you know, I can't stand Iron Man. (Of course, for the few people who read my posts around here, I've said that numerous times.) And, Hulk has always been one of my favorite comics; especially now that we are having the Planet Hulk storyline. As for qualifications and my comic knowledge, I've been reading EVERY Marvel comic since around '83-'84 (although I quit comics for a time in '87-'91) and own all the Hulk's comics from Vol. 1, issue 250-current.

I WILL NEVER ACCEPT THAT IRON MAN(even in HB Armor) CAN BEAT THE INCREDIBLE HULK. NEVER!!!

I'm no fan of any of those two. I only rely on plain facts. I don't believe that even with Tony's intellect that he can manage to create an armor that could beat the majority of the avengers or even an armor tougher than adamantium. Hulk can crush adamantium and he is not as slow as Juggernaut. He is agile and fast. And Hulk can take a direct hit from a nuclear warhead.

Anyway for this match-up i'm thinking Reed and Sue for sure.
I disagree that Rogue is too much for Sue. Sue's knocked out the hulk, held back tidal waves etc. She's a real heavy hitter and she's really hard to find for two mutants with no enhanced senses or technological aids or telepathy or anything what with her being invisible. Sue could just trap them both in air-proof force fields and wait till they pass out from lack of oxygen.

First of all, Gambit can't charge Sue's forcefields, he can only charge matter. They aren't matter, they're just a field of force that feels solid. It would be like charging a magnetic field (another thing he can't do).

But anyway, saying Gambit would force Sue to let him go by threatening to kill himself is silly. You might as well have Sue threaten to jump off a bridge or something unless Gambit surrenders. I mean, they're all heros, so none of them would want the other to die, but that's not how the game is played.

Reed is definately the weaker of the pair and he could take Gambit and Rogue all by himself. He could wrap up Rogue and slam her into Remy. Physical strength is virtually useless against Reed as are explosive attacks. His body simply flexes harmlessly with the attacks.
