I'm going to give my man, Shang-Chi, a little respect and give him my vote. I remember reading that comic back in the 80's, along with Power Man and Iron Fist. I was always impressed with Shang-Chi's cunning; but, for some reason, Iron Fist never did much for me. I think with Shang-Chi's upbringing and having to deal with his father, he'd have an advantage.

Either way, Shang-Chi is getting it handed to him, 21-4.

I haven't decided yet. I hated G.I. Joe when it came out in the 80's. It brought so many kids into the comic shops then looking for that, Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (I also remember actually trading my first issue of G.I. Joe to a kid for Frank Miller's first Daredevil issue.) As comics seems to go in waves of trends nowadays, that's one of the first that I remember comic companies trying to replicate success with all those copies of TMNT. Damn, you had Hamsters and all kinds of animals. BUT, thinking about the two teams, G.I. Joe just seems to have more singular characters that they focused on. With S.H.I.E.L.D., I think Fury and Dugan, both aged, and then some secondary characters, like Agent 13.

I still think it would be closer. Seems like every time I turn around, S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting their butt handed to them. Just recently, Enemy of the State took them down...plus, S.H.I.E.L.D. is always in disarray. Fury isn't even with them right now, and there is always some spy hanging around. I guess I'm not so much giving my vote for G.I. Joe, as I'm saying that Marvel really doesn't portray S.H.I.E.L.D. as an well-oiled machine.

Fair enough. But I still can't figure out what feat of ingenuity Tony Stark could pull out. Seriously, the HB armor is pathetic. Hulk's strength increases everytime you piss him off. He could even break adamantium, the hardest steel known to Earth. Is Tony's armor stronger than adamantium or as strong as adamantium. Can the HB armor increase Iron Man's strength the way Hulk increases his? Can Tony defeat Hercules, Namor and Wonderman with the HB armor? Hulk gave those three with Iron Man a beating all by himself. Then Iron Man will kick Hulk's ass all by himself? I still can't get it. Surely Silver Surfer will defeat Hulk. But Iron Man?
I know its not real life or anything and its for fun. But how can it be fun when we allow A to do something he could never do just to win against B? Its like recreating A instead of what A really is just so A could beat B.

Hey, even Sparta was shocked several times due to the results of some match ups.

Wow have times have changed. I wouldn't say Havok's the weak link at all. He once beat the Hulk. Yes, it's true. I can't remember the exact issue but it was ages ago in "The Incredible Hulk" BEFORE Wolverine's first appearance. Look it up if you wish.
But this is an interesting matchup. Despite what I said about Havok, I'm going with the teamwork factor and am voting Bobby & Warren.

I assume you meant Iceman and Archangel. Of course, Havok wouldn't need to drain Archangel's energy, because there's no way Archangel should be able to take a full-force plasma blast. Unless he has some enhanced durability I've never heard about.

It's possible Iceman's ice shields could stand up to Havok's plasma blasts for a while . . . I'm not really sure how strong the shields are. But don't underestimate the strength of Havok's attack. I'd say it's at least as powerful as Cyclops' optic blasts, perhaps a little more powerful (albeit less controlled). Scott only wins one-on-one between the two because they're immune to each other's powers, and he's the better hand-to-hand fighter.

Another thing to remember is that, unlike Cyclops, Havok's blasts produce heat as well as impact. (That's what plasma is: super-heated, ionized gas.) So he can melt Iceman's creations as well as smashing through them. I'd say a big factor would end up being how much water Iceman has to work with. If they're fighting next to a lake, Havok and Nightcrawler are probably screwed.

I see the fight going something like this:
Archangel tries to take them out quick with a barrage of his razor feathers (I assume it's the metal winged version, since that's the picture you showed.) But Havok deflects these away with a wide-spread plasma blast. Nightcrawler teleports behind Archangel to get the drop on him, while Iceman encases Havok in a block of ice. Nightcrawler slams Archangel in the back of the head, but Archangel whips around -- Kurt only barely manages to port away he would have been slashed by Warren's wing.

Kurt grabs whatever object is handy (chair, potted plant, etc.) and ports back in, smashing it over Warren's head and stunning him before he can react. But Warren's wings have a life of their own, and flap hard, slamming Warren into Nightcrawler and knocking the wind out of him. Before Kurt can recover to port, they slam against a wall hard, and both Warren and Kurt are stunned or knocked out.

Meanwhile, Havok has blasted apart the block of ice Iceman created. Now he fires a full-force plasma blast at Iceman. He throws up a shield, but after a few seconds Havok has burned his way through. Iceman retaliates with some ice projectiles, but these are melted away by Havok's blast. Eventually, Iceman finds himself without much more water to work with, as Havok's blasts have caused most of the moisture in the surrounding air to heat and rise up higher into the atmosphere. Eventually, Havok blasts Bobby to bits.

The winner: Havok and Nightcrawler

A key factor, the way I see it, is that Havok can go all out against Iceman (something he almost never does, for fear of hurting someone), because he knows that Bobby can be blown apart and still recover. He's seen Iceman reduced to nothing but a head before.

In contrast, Iceman could take Havok out with a ruthless attack like freezing all the moisture in his cells (like he did against Legion), but he's never going to do that to his teammate, since he knows it would kill him. So Bobby is limited to safer attacks like throwing ice spikes at him, and I can't see that sort of thing making it past Havok's barrage of plasma.

I'm voting for Havoc and Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler's teleportation abilities will give them the edge in this fight. Havoc may have a hard time with Iceman but Archangel will stand no chance to Nightcrawler. Once Archangel is down, Havoc can generate enough heat to make it hard for Iceman to freeze anything and Nightcrawler will eventually help out and both of them will beat Iceman.:)

While I agree that Warren and Bobby have more experience working together I dont think that it would help them in this particular case. Kurt and Alex's powers just plain trump them and they're all X-men so they all have experience with teamwork. Plus they all know each others strengths and weaknesses. Alex and Kurt are both leaders Bobby's a slacker and a jokester and Warren doesnt have the power or the skill to take either of his opposing two x-men.
