It had been awhile since i had heard of these two but after looking them up oon marvel directory, it was pretty easy to decide:

Magus:

Strength level: At full power the Magus possesses enough strength to rend an entire star in two and hurl part of it through space.

Like his son Warlock, the Magus can change his shape into that of virtually any solid living being or machine. When he takes the form of an Earth living being, he does not look at ail like a machine, but looks exactly as that living being does. When the Magus takes the form of a machine, he retains his intelligence. He uses his own life energies to empower himself when in machine form. (Hence, if the Magus took the form of a helicopter, his own energies would cause it to fly, not gasoline.) The Magus can draw molecules from an unknown, possibly extra-dimensional source to add to his own mass.

The Magus can replenish his life energies by transforming living creatures into techno-organic beings, and then draining their life energies into himself, killing them in the process The exact means by which the Magus transforms other beings is unknown. The Magus must touch his victim to effect the transformation. The Magus can exist in the vacuum of outer space without protection, and can enter and travel through hyperspace at great speed.

The Magus's level of power is immeasurably greater than the present level possessed by his son Warlock. At full power the Magus can grow to the size of a star, rend the star in half without harm to himself, and huh part of the star through space. It is not known how the Magus can so greatly increase or diminish his amount of mass. In roughly human-sized form the Magus's physical strength and resistance to injury appear to be considerably more limited, although still far greater than human.


Maelstrom:

Strength Level: Maelstrom possesses slight superhuman strength, deriving from his unique Inhuman/Deviant heritage. Maelstrom can lift (press) approximately 1 ton. When his body is enhanced by biokinetic energy, Maelstrom can augment his physical strength. The amount of biokinetic energy he siphons determines how much physical strength he can manifest. Theoretically, there is no upper limit to his strength providing he can draw upon a sufficiently powerful source of kinetic energy.

Known Superhuman Powers: Maelstrom possesses the traditional attributes of the Inhuman race as well as the ability to siphon and control all forms of kinetic energy, the energy of motion. Half Inhuman, Maelstrom's physiology is about twice as strong, durable, and long-lived as that of the average human male.

Maelstrom's major ability is the Terrigen derived capacity to mentally manipulate all forms of kinetic energy and transform it into physical strength. This process, the nature of which is unknown, involves a body-wide interaction with kinetic energy from any ambient source. Miguel grew spinnerets on his forearms, giving him the ability to shoot natural webbing by contracting his muscles. This webbing was exceptionally strong, able to support both his weight and even the weight of passengers while swinging from rooftops. Talons grew from his fingertips and toes, allowing him to walk on walls, and even slice through sturdy metallic objects. Miguel originally had trouble controlling when the talons would pop out, but he eventually got control of them. Miguel also grew fangs, which could inject hallucinogenic and temporarily paralyzing poison into a victim.

Miguel's Spider-Man costume was made of Unstable Molecules, making it nearly impossible to rip or tear. Pretty impressive for a store-bought superhero costume, indeed. Later, Miguel attached some lite byte cloth to the costume, giving the costume a bit of an air foil which would slow him down on a freefall. Using the old super-hero trick, Miguel would often conceal his costume by wearing his normal clothes over it. Miguel had also taken to insuring his mask wouldn't be torn off by webbing it to his face, while in costume.

While Miguel possessed the Heroic Age Thor's hammer, he gained many similar powers to Thor, and his aging was retarded to the point where he could live a millennium while only aging roughly 70 years in the time.

He's pretty resistant to injury thanks to the symbiote. It'll absorb the impact of most things, including bullets, and I doubt Miguel's claws would penetrate it. He's got something like class 50 strength, he's roughly equal to Spider-Man in all other physical stats, and he's kicked Spider-Man and Venom's asses simultaneously before.

Why? On paper, Carnage has every advantage. I didn't read a lot of the 2099 stuff, but what I recall of Spider-Man 2099 didn't make him seem that powerful. He was just more of a bastard than Peter was, like when he allowed Vulture 2099 fall to his doom. But I doubt he out-bastards Carnage.

First off let me preface this by saying I despise that galaxy far far away and all of its plagiaristic denizens.

With that said Maul would be sliced to ribbons.

More than likely he would control Wolverine with his mind freezing him in place.

More than likely he would move in for the kill expounding on the numerous ways in which an animal like Wolverine wasn't worthy of the Sith.

As much as I love Bill, it seems like Nimrod would be able to give him a really tough fight. He can adapt to anything, generate forcefields, and he's virtually indestructible. But I still say Beta Ray Bill would win. Because I like him. :p
