The biggest advantage that the X Men have is Cyclops. He can wipe out entire teams literally by simply seeing that they are there. He would almost certainly get off the first attack and could potentially take out everyone except Reed and Iron Man before they could act. A tornado vortex catches Iron Man and forces him to fight for his equilibrium and then Storm fries his armor with a massive lightning bolt. That leaves Reed alone against all three X Men.

Interesting lineup! Clever. Very tough choices...I think...I think ultimately I'd have to vote for the FF. A combination of Sue's force fields and Johnny's supernova is simply too much raw power for anyone in those other teams to be able to deal with. And Reed is pretty nearly smarter than everyone in the room put together.

The strength and durability of Sue's forcefields have not been tested; however, Sue was capable of shattering a Celestial's armor when she projected her energy inside of the being and expanded it rapidly outwards, causing the armor to break under the pressure, a task even Thor's Mjolnir could not do.The backlash would be incredible, though, and most likely take her out of the fight for a few moments at the least. And that's why the X-Men do stand a good chance.

I can't really see the Avengers winning this, they just don't have enough raw power. They're biggest ace would be the Scarlet Witch, and a full-on insanely powered Wanda is just as dangerous to them as she would be to the others.

The X Men. They have more long range fire power and concealment by means of Storms fog. The fog could also be used to detect Sue while she is invisible. The usual rules for this thread would use the Scarlet Witch from the 90's when she did not have reality altering powers,only probability alteration.

I'm gonna go with Exodus. Mandarin's powers are primarilly offensive. His defenses are kinda lacking. Whereas Exodus is a huge powerhouse. His telepathic abilities alone should be able to take Mandarin down while the rest of his abilities easilly keep him safe from Mandy's attacks.

The only reason Hyperion defeated Holocaust so easily is cause his body soaks up radiation for energy. Holcaust was just the unlucky bastard that was made an example of.

Hmm... Hyperion absorbed Holocaust in exhiles but thats cause it's part of his power to soak up radiation. Gladiator doesnt do that. The source of his powers are psionic. So i think beating holocaust would be a lot harder for gladiator than it was for hyperion. But I still think he could do it.

People always seem to ridicule Gladiator that you can beat him by threatening him or shaking his confidence but thats completely ludicrous. Gladiator is one of the cockiest sob's in the marvel U. He's a powerhouse and a badass and he knows it. Cracking jokes/threatening him wouldnt shake his confidence it'd make him pissed at you and being pissed at you would make him more powerfull.

Both of their powers in this form are long range but as I recollect, Arch's ability to shoot those razor sharp projectiles was quite deadly and he could do them in a seemingly unlimited capacity, I think he'd catch Banshee across the throat. Add on the fact that early on he was VERY brutal and morally bankrupt because of the changes brought on him and I'll give him the edge.

However, Banshee might be able to deflect archangel's blades with a burst of sound. Whereas, there's nothing Archangel can do to block Banshee's sonic scream. A loud enough sound can even travel through a solid wall.

why would he have to fly as high just to win? Archangel'd have to come down in order to fight him and if he just flew real high for twelve hours i think it'd be a retreat which would mean he'd lose. Honestly look at offensive/defensive abilities comparatively not their mobility. It just makes sense.

As I recall, in Phoenix Endsong and again in New X-men...120ish (against Martha), when Emma goes into her diamond form she has absolutely no defense against telepathy so going into that form would not be wise....her telepathy would be comparable to Psylocke, so I don't think there is an edge. Except that Psylocke can create a psionic knife and her TK would give her the edge...

Man, this is a kickass battle indeed. Well Thor would fare better against someone that tends to go physical at least some of the time, that's what he's used to, something he can come to grips with although he can deal with long range as well. Stephen on the other hand deals with people he never has to lay a hand on all the time, I'm sure he can cook up a binding spell, perhaps the Crimson Bands and then something to at least knock Thor out. Starange doesn't have to kill him to end this.

Shaw's damn dangerous. He might not be able to get strong enough to destroy pierce but he could sure beat him. (gain strength till you can throw him into space) If i was shaw i'd be constantly throwing myself in front of trains and off of buildings and such. Biting electric power lines etc. I think Shaw'd take him.

Marrow. Coz she is skilled in hand to hand combat and has a healing factor in par with Wolverine. She can also use her bones for projectile attack, thus giving her a range advantage.

marrow's extremely dangerous(pre x-23)and two kinds of crazy excellent with sharp weapons (CQC)and can take the pain in battle,you can learn alot from callisto that captain america can't teach you as an avenger,plus the danger room is much more difficult that any avenger training center.so my vote is for marrow.
