Even though Hawkeye has a big advantage from a distance, I think the Widow could close in on him pretty quick and once she got in close I think her fighting skills are a bit more than Hawkeye can handle. :venom:

I disagree. I think she always brings a hand gun with her. And if she does not, well she can always throw a dagger or a knife. Hawkeye is an olympic-level archer, but Black Widow is skilled enough to defeat someone like him.

I'm going for Polaris since she doesn't really have to know where Pietro is or where he's coming from since she could increase the gravitational fields in a general area enough to slow him down. After that? Iron in his blood, iron ore ripped out of the ground and beating him to death, electromagnetic fields, ect.

If she had any advance warning whatsoever, she could fly up to outside of his range (although Quicksilver can run up buildings for a ways), throw up a wall of metal all around her, or just freeze him in place by latching onto the iron in his bloodstream (a lame trick, IMO, but she and Magneto have both done it).

But I'm assuming no advanced warning at all, which means Quicksilver beats basically anyone who doesn't have superhuman reflexes or superhuman durability.

This post seems weirdly insulting -- "singular line of thought"? I'm posting who I think would win and giving my reasoning, same as anyone else. Last I checked, that's the point of the thread.

Anyway, Quicksilver should win any battle unless the opponent (A) has enhanced speed, (B) has enhanced durability, (C) goes into the battle with some sort of forcefield rasied, (D) gets the drop on him, or various other explanations.

I'm assuming this battle is basically sprung on them by surprise, so Polaris can't start the battle 50 feet in the air or catch Quicksilver unawares or any of the other ways she could beat him. You might make different assumptions for the battle, and that's fine, but my assumptions are as legitimate as anyone elses. I've been consistent in assuming that the characters are dropped into each match with no advanced warning, meaning whoever is faster is going to strike the first blow.

So many of these fights are situational. Where and what is the environment? Yada yada.

I am guessing that this fight would take place in Hells Kitchen where DD would own him royally. These two have fought before in Contest of Champions and were it not for the snow fall DD would have won easily, as it turns out he had the upper hand barely edging out Fist and keeping it from being a draw.

Danny's far more skilled and has enough power in his fist to stop speeding armored cars, put holes in giant organic steel russians etc. He can also use his chi to heal and protect himself. He's taken full on hits from Luke Cage and by focusing his chi, barely noticed the impact. I honestly cant see DD standing much chance.

Talking baout Iron Fist "healing" himself is pretty lame. In order to do so he must be in a situation where he can sit down and focus, meditate. You really think in a fistfight with Daredevil he is going to be able to do that? SO WHAT he has some extra abilities they won't mean squat in this fight. He can focus his chi and create and Iron Fist but you bet he would not use that on Daredevil, tis not his way. His Iron Fist only lasts a couple swings anyway so even if he wanted to hit DD with them, it is unllikely he would get a solid blow on him before it faded.

I'm voting for team Magneto/Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver. Magneto is master of magnetism. He does not need to strain his mind to move objects while Cable and Jean needs to concentrate on one particular skill to make it more effective. As for telepathy, Sparta already said it; Magneto's helmet blocks them effectively, even Cerebro-amplified telepathy of Xavier. And don't forget that Cable's left arm is made of steel. A very big disadvantage for him there. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch can give Scot/Jean/Cable enough distraction for Magneto to finish them off.

The Maximoffs have Speed, Versatility, and Magic in spades, when it comes down to the wire, Cable is the most powerful threat on the Summers side of things and he won't stand up to uneven odds once Pietro knocks out Cyclops, that is if he does it before Scott can utilize his spatial targeting trick.

I have to go with Mags, Quicks and...erm...Scarls. Magneto is treated like a God by most of the writers, as is Scarlet Witch (by one writer at least), and Quicksilver is just really bloodt fast. Cyclops would be null and void in this one I think, and unless Jean and Cable were Phoenixed up and recent-Cabled up respectively, then this is a done deal. But nice going for the tag team stuff, nice twist on it.

I don't think I have ever read a Deadpool comic, but I do own the Bowen Deadpool statue (for sale too) and his aresenal looks impressive. However Sabretooth is a higly skilled and deadly killer with more than enough speed and cunning to take down nearly anyone. He is smart enough to do something to limit Deadpool's weaponry, and would find a way to slice him up.

Again, don't know too much about Deadpool so I am going off what I know of Sabretooth.

I'd have to agree with tha, especially since he relies primarily on weapons. I think the saving grace is that he literally can't be kept down by anything Sabertooth dishes out, but he's going to take a bruising in the process. But hey, if Gambit can stick a card in Victor's mouth and take him out for a few issues then I'm sure Deadpool can find a way to knock him out as well.

Sure Deadpool's healing factor is better, but if 'tooth rips his head off it's still going to take him out of the fight long enough for it to count as a win. With prep-time Deadpool could make sure he has the perfect weapon to take Creed down, but without it he just has to hope whatever he has handy does enough damage.

If this is Sabretooth with adamantium, then that's an even bigger advantage, since Creed's bones are unbreakable and Deadpool's aren't (plus adamantium claws do more damage). But even for Sabretooth sans adamantium I guess I'll give it to him . . . but just barely.

Also sabertooth has every physical advantage to a large degree and would be capable of just pinning DP down under something heavy to win.
