Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Hulk has beaten the Thing a lot more often than vice versa.
The Abomination is a lot stronger than Sasquatch (unless Sasquatch has had a powerup I don't know about.)
Abomination wins.

Abomination is far more intelligent and whereas Sasquatch gets his ass handed to Hulk in every encounter, Abomination has actually beaten Hulk. Given it was in the early days but the key is that he retained his intelligence when he was transformed. So he can outsmart Sasquatch AND he's tougher than he is.

Abomination
No he's not. Sasquatch was the second brightest mind in the world in the same field as bruce banner. He got his powers by trying to recreate the accident that created the hulk. Do you actually know anything about Sasquatch?
Also the source of Sasquatch's abilities are Tanaraq. He's sasquatch because he's partially possessed by Tanaraq. When he gets too angry or loses control Tanaraq takes over. It's not him transforming into Tanaraq it's the same thing as Hulk getting angry.
And YES Tanaraq is THAT powerful. He'd eat three Abominations for breakfast and have another two or three for snacks by lunch.

Is Doc Samson as tough as Hulk or anywhere near him? If not, then War Machine's fire power would take him out easy.
Silicon Surfer
06-11-2006, 06:56 AM
Samsons strength is only 70 ton level so the armor can exceed it for a brief period. Samson is also well short of the Hulks durability and cannot leap as far either. War Machine beats him in all categories but he can also just shoot Samsons hair off and drastically weaken him.
Sparta*
06-11-2006, 06:59 AM
He has superhuman strength, endurance, and resistance to injury...he would be able to take a beating while dishing one out at the same time...and how would War Machine know to just shoot Doc Samson's hair off?!
Silicon Surfer
06-11-2006, 07:05 AM
The Iron Man and War Machine armors of that period could be pushed briefly into the 90 ton range so War Machine could simply fly in and punch him out even if he did not shoot his hair off and give him a crew cut. I doubt that Samson at his full power is durable enough to survive more than a few seconds of War Machines weapons if they were fully unleashed

War Machine's way to versatile. He can fly (which is a huge advantage on it's own) and he's very fast and maneuverable. Samson would never get near him.
War machine would be able to just stay out of samson's reach and bombard the hell out of him till he drops. If he unleashed all his firepower then it would severely hurt samson at least and eventually bring him down. Hell it'd probably burn his hair off first.

I doubt War Machine really has that many missles on him, look at his suit, where would he keep them? Even if he did they would be small and not enough power to do any damage to Samson. Bullets, bounce off. WM is outclased here.

Missiles don't have to be like 6 feet long to do massive damage. And this is comic technology we're talkin about. There could be nukes the size of thimbles.

Hmm . . . I was going to vote War Machine for basically Vanguard's reasons (flight and long-range attacks), but Guyver has convinced me. If the Doc can stand up to the Hulk for six hours I doubt War Machine has anything in his arsenal that could seriously hurt him. And sooner or later Samson will find a way to nail him with something -- either just throwing massive objects at him or leaping at him. Hulk's managed to take out jet fighters with his leaps before, so I don't see why Samson couldn't hit War Machine. WM's range and flight could make it a long fight, though.
Anyway, I vote Samson.
SuperFerret
06-11-2006, 09:57 PM
I vote Samson. He's stronger than War Machine, but that's not the angle he'd probably go for. He's Doc Samson, he'll use psychology to keep Rhodey off guard, and then, he can take him down.
Vanguard07
06-11-2006, 10:44 PM
Like scream out "how does that make you feel?" and hope Rhodey bursts out sobbing and gives up?
Also you cant really compare leaping up at a fighter jet to getting hold of IM or WM. They're far smaller targets and they're far far more maneuverable. Plus Rhodey's highly experienced with the armor. It's not like he'd stand there looking for the dodge button.
And Samson is 70% of basic hulk's strength. He doesnt have the "madder he gets stronger he gets" thing going for him and he has an immediate and obvious vulnerability. His hair.
Silicon Surfer
06-11-2006, 10:57 PM
I believe that the electric cannon has armor piercing rounds as standard. Standing up to punches is very different than withstanding weapons fire. Samsons durability is less than Hulk.

I don't think Bishop's energy-absorbing powers can completely absorb the heat of a flame. If they could, Pyro would be screwed.
But at any rate, it's not like Pyro has a good defense against Bishop's energy blasts, either.
Since either could potentially take out the other with their attack, I guess it comes down to who's better trained, has more strategic skill, etc. Which favors Bishop.
For example, I could see Bishop using his blasts to topple some debris in between them, and while Pyro is trying to get by that, sneaking around behind and taking him out with a surprise attack.
Anyway, I vote Bishop.

Madrox isn't just a bunch of guys. He's a bunch of guys who (a) can absorb the kinetic energy of punches to produce more duplicates, and (b) can redistribute injuries among themselves (going from one badly injured dupe to several mildly injured dupes).
So each dupe is a good bit harder to take out than an ordinary guy. Nightcrawler is unlikely to be able to take them all down -- at best, he can probably avoid their attacks for a long time. But assuming that actually fleeing the battlefield would count as a loss, he's going to have to actually engage them. Eventually, he'll be worn out and overwhelmed.
Madrox wins. (Cool fight )

The only way I see Nightcrawler winning is if he can grab Madrox and teleport him into some solid object but the chances of him doing that to numerous duplicates before being overwhelmed are pretty slim. I'm going with Madrox on this one. :venom:

Jamie's got time on his side. For every teleport Kurt does, it saps his energy. For every bit of energy he expends in attacking a clone, Jamie creates another duplicate. Sure Kurt will take down quite a few of them but in the end, all Jamie has to do is distribute the pain through his duplicates and wait for Kurt to fall to fatigue. Once he slows down enough, it's one big ass dog pile.

I think it would be a cool fight, with Nightcrawler fighting an army of Multiple Men (maybe 20-1 at first) with their numbers growing. He would be bobbing and weaving, and jumping off the walls and everywhere. And landing punches and kicks where he could, which would probably result in more Multiple Men. He would also be bamphing in and out, grabbing multiple men when clones when he could and taking them somewhere else. Dropping some in Alaska, others in the ocean, some in volcanoes, others in prison, and still others in that limbo area he bamphs to before he reaches his final destination. Eventually he would pull out his sword and start using it. It would be a big battle for the two but, with Kurt giving his all, but he would eventually win with his sword pointed straight at Multiple Man's throat. Nightcrawler stands there, costume torn, cut and bleeding with possible broken bones, and is have slight trouble standing. Multiple man would be left with two options, see if he can hit himself and try to make a clone before Nightcrawler killed him or surrender.

They're both familiar with each other's skills and abilities. I doubt Nightcrawler would even bother trying to punch or kick Madrox cause he knows it would only result in more multiples.
On the other hand Madrox has been training himself in all kinds of fighting techniques and skills and such so even one of him could probably put up a decent fight against Kurt.
Hmm.... I dont know I dont think Kurt could do it. He could try grabbing multiples and teleporting them into stuff but He'd wear himself out and he'd be risking getting grabbed and pummelled himself each time he tried it.
I gotta go with Madrox. He's got more advantages here.
and there's strength in numbers after all.

Nope. Jamie has to absorb an injured clone so the injury would be divided. Each clones are independent entities. So each could feel different amounts of pain. A hit to the groin would render any clone unable to think due to the excruciating pain.

If Kurt could get the drop on Madrox and hit him with knockout gas or something then easy win, but if it was a "I see you, you see me, let's fight" situation I'd have to go with the numbers. Eventually Kurt will get tired and one copy will grab onto him and he'll be to tired to teleport and he'll get smothered with numbers. So unless Kurt can take out Madrox fast with activating his multiple powers, he's pretty much doomed.

If the multiples held hands they would have too much mass to teleport. Groin shots are still kinetic energy and would be absorbed.

I disagree. Multiple Man and any of his clones cannot just absorb any physical attacks directed at them. They get injured when they receive too much force. Thus a powerful strike to the groin should be avoided by Madrox. Kurt already demonstrated that he can send an regular adult human a couple of yards away with his teleportation attack. He is therefor capable of injuring Madrox's body.

As it's been said, Husk on the usual just amps up her strength and Durability, she doesn't go to the extent of her powers. Monet cancels out most of anything Husk could deal with the power of flight, tack onto that all she has to do is get inside Husk's head and this one's a wrap. Doesn't do you much good to be diamond durable and open to a mind rape.

Sunspot has a better edge when it comes to manuevering and versatility. Magma takes the deuce in Durability, but Sunspot doesn't have to close in order to finish this one so there's no need for him to close and there's nothing she can do to MAKE him close. Another chunk of weight in this is Sunspot's edge of experience, he's faced tougher people and shown he's able to think on the run, which holds incalcuable value in this one.
